I had seen some comments saying XMR was having a hard time a few weeks ago with large tx because of all the inputs.

Here's a big one:

http://monerochain.info/tx/3bdad88fbb2fef74bd7491ea75cc4eff5ca5e6e04ffd2be7aa7b6dcf3bd0089f

201 inputs for a 5,000 output. So is it safe to say this is no longer an issue?

Monero Core Team
Sure it does. It's 6 months experience for free Tongue Thanks.

Also, how can I help getting monero on track? I'm planning on donating to the dev team when I get some spare money, and the Portuguese mnemonic word list is already under way so I don't know what else I can do...

At the moment most of the urgent / important tasks require an in-depth knowledge of cryptography and C / C++, but as things progress there will be things that will come up that will require more soft skills. As and when we have a need for that we will definitely put the call out:)
If this is not something you can apply for, you can spread the word around about Monero as being a serious coin. Target newcomers in alt first - so much pump and dumps where newcomers get scammed.

Note the unconventional cAPITALIZATION!

Also, we're wondering if we should listen to such comments and actually stop doing campaigns like this one. Please make your opinion known: if most of you guys actually don't like this campaign, we are prepared to comply. Otherwise we shall probably continue with it.

Also, we wanted to remind you that our 'Monero2TheMoon' and Usability Improvement and Bug Reporting campaigns are still underway.

I am fine with the campaigns and as long as you keep the marketing side reasonable and non spammy I say let people vote with their XMR/BTC.  I personally trade on your exchange and poloniex.

Hola Moneritos y Moneritas,
Here is a simple Monero vanity address generator that I wrote in Python:
https://github.com/jwinterm/SimpleVanity
It's pretty slow, but it works, here is a 'jw' address I generated last night:
Code:
48jwL1EJ8dSbpnrffpJrH8PAkdr8KNZ49H2nQvWtefxjbzuujcX3kbCjXexK1GLbHoHJ2LAuiBduUGMK5KYUPDL67ts2vzz
It only took a little over 6000 attempts before I generated this one Smiley

Hehe. Started mining on Friday. Finished today in the morning (CET). Nothing. Cool
My Lenovo notebook is too weak. But it was like a joke with a small hope to mine something.

So: is there are any information on which hardware it is better to mine XMR? I have some AMD videocards 77xx, 79xx or CPU mining is preferred here?

You should not mine on your own, but join a pool. on your own you might get block in about a year, doubt your patience will last that long. There are many threads here how to join pools and start mining. And many times some pool owners will even help you with some problems you might have.
I never mined anything in past and 2 months ago stated cpu mine XMR, i got set in a day. was following this thread here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annxmr-one-click-monero-miner-613072

There might be better tutorials nowadays.

Just do it, you will not get rich in short time but you wil learn something new.
Thank you.

My HD 7770 gets average 155k and Intel i3 quad core(bottom of the range) about 31kh
That's what I wanted to see. Thank you.

Just so you dont confuse yourself, the figures quoted above are h/s not kh/s.
Ah ok. But 7770 is better ic.

And uses more power...

You really need to sit down and run some numbers yourself to see what you should actually expect. I get the feeling your not too sure what your doing and I would hate for you to expect something and then get something else.
I like to trade with Bitcoins. Now I try some altcoins and see some interests in XMR. Mining is not my goal. My goal is trading only. I'm just interested in to know what effect I can gain from mining process, how it goes with this currency and etc. How it works. I know not so much about XMR so I came here to know more.

How long do monero confirm a transaction transaction, i have transfer some coins to a excahge plartform for 10 hours, but the excahnge palrtform still not receive my coins?anyone know what happen?thanks !

Busoni has said about 30 minutes for poloniex. One hour is the absolute most I'd wait. I don't know what exchange you're on, but it's definitely time to open a ticket.

Did you use a payment id?

i always use bter plartform payment id  8a171c7529caa03d935059b3b200e9e2d0e47112b56a75f64e9b76c10892d3f7
I used the following command
transfer 0 47CunEQ4v8FPVNnw9mDgNZeaiSo6SVDydB3AZM341ZtdYpBYNmYeqhh4mpU1X6RSmgBTfC8xqaAtUGC 2DArotyaKSz1LJyj 13.6 mo
This appears to be your transaction, so it looks like it was indeed confirmed into the block chain. That being the case, the next step would be to contact BTER support.

hi,smooth.I have contact Bter,He said that blockchain have not record and let e contact monero,What should I do next, appreciate youe help!

Have you tried to refresh your balance?
It might not have gone through and came back to your wallet
Download the final version from the OP. Backup the .keys file. Delete the .bin file (not the .keys). Open the wallet as usual - a new .bin file will be created based on the .keys. After sync it should be fine.

appreciate your help,I have regain my conis, but when i tranfer some conis to Bter exchange,I encounterd the following error:
Error: transaction was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"

pls tell me why? thans a lot

Yes you can run both.

It completely depends on your hardware, there is no answer to which is more effective without knowing that. However in general GPU seem to be more efficient.

THX, I understand it.
But... Where can I find information about productivity of different hardware for XMR mining? Especially CPU vs GPU.

see here:
Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v5.1

GPU miner: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-cryptonote-amd-gpu-miner-v113-638915
CPU miner: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-cryptonote-amd-gpu-miner-v113-638915
For example: I have 7770 and Core i5.
What do i have to choose for XMR?

You can mine CPU and GPU at the same time if thats what you want to do.

So:
1). Can I run two miners on the same PC (CPU and GPU)?
2). Which is more effective? Any information about productivity?
