It might be best to make a list of all the things the miners team has done so far of upgrading moneros code etc etc, and what they will do. Makes it 10x easier to combat dumb trolls..

For the rest of the OS protocol changes .. take a look at the github commits .. that is the list and it's already there
I have personally contributed to the bounty/funding of two of these, and have pledged to contribute to the lightweight wallets too, and have my pledge of an open bounty for the amd miner already proposed. Not a small amount of these improvements have rested on the backs of the community that supports Monero (though I do think there was some trivial amount of BCN involved in the OS pool bounty).
It's bullshit to see these nerds come by and shit all over the major development like it's nothing, then go and use these tools without even thinking of sending anything back to the developers of the software. Not a thanks, not even a dime. Just a big 'fuck you'. I just don't understand how the thought doesn't even come across their minds .. instead they do junk like shitpost everywhere. The worst part is that it's a major combination of both them and the usual pump and dump shilling.

I am honestly asking because like most of the users here I am browsing the forum to look for new and interesting alt developments in order to make an educated guess in which coin to invest. It gets disappointing when you spend most of your free time, unpaid, trying to manage a bunch of the coin's development and people explode this stuff onto your thread.
Everything we put towards bounties could also be used for BCN, like the GUI, the GPU miner, and pools, we contributed most of the optimized slow hash code and were never credited for it. We're also working on a thin client for Monero that is FOSS so people can use it on phones, etc, but we seem to get no recognition for our accomplishments.
The Monero team is doing amazing stuff. Although not enough credit is given, it's ok, the fundamentals of this coin are solid. No need to hype or brag, just continue on building the core.
P.S. are the core Monero team in contact with the CryptoNote guys? Any chance for deeper collaboration or are they just as secretive?

I know the basic commands. but i can't copy and paste addresses to the client, and writing the whole address and payment id is a bummer, i know that if i don't close the client i can reuse a command with the address with the up arrow but still i restart here and there. is there a way to paste the address?

No. There is most important problem for cryptonote-based currencies - blockchain blowing up and up - for example, 1.3 Gb for Monero. This is the price of anonymity. And the developers are currently working hard on this problem. As I remember they want also switch from boost to leveldb (used in Bitcoin).
And as I know, now other cryptonote coin developers care about this MAIN problem of cryptonote-based currencies. Monero team is the only.

None. They are all experimental, although it may not be apparent. We are working on it, but have no ETA. thank you verymuch
If you want security for your money stick with the CLI. It is not that hard after the initial learning phase. I too was intimidated at the beginning, in April.
I agree just learn how to use the command line simplewallet. It is especially easy to install on Linux. A little work with OSX. Haven't used it on Windows.
