To make mining this coin profitable what kind of hash rate do you need to have, seem hard to mine...

Yes it is crazy tough to mine.  More hashrate the better, of course.

I think a gigahash would work, tho.

That's a lot of 290x's

Why am I getting this kind of error while sending some XMR to the exchange ?

simplewallet shows the following error,

Quote

& at the same time bitmonerod shows the following,

Quote

Is this an official release https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7484533 of the GUI wallet ?
Short answer: no
Long answer: to check if something is official, check the "official links and download" part of the OP. If it is not there,  then it is not official. Sole exception: the binaries on top of the OP are official too, even if they are not technically on the"official links and download" part of the OP.

Is there something wrong with http://moneropool.org/ ?

It doesn't seem to show me the pool blocks ?
If you wait a few seconds or minutes it should come up. It's moving to a new DDoS protected server soon and that will probably make it not so laggy anymore.

I was trying to send some coins from my wallet to an exchange , but nothing happens...can someone help me out..
Did you send it with a payment ID? If not, contact the support of the exchange to try and resolve it.

Does the transaction ID show up on http://monerochain.info?

can you give me the sample syntax I should be formatting the transfer..thx
Code:
transfer 0

You dont need a payment id to send you your wallet. Thats for exchanges. Altough i dont see why you havent received them. Did you checked on monerochain for your transaction?

Also it takes some time for poloniex to make the transaction and some times it fails but they fix it at worst when you communicate with them...

Many people have been asking when XMR block reward "halves", so I made a chart of average block reward per year. We began at ~17.6, now we're at about 16. Of course, the block reward decreases per block.

You can view the live chart here: http://monerochain.info/charts/reward

If you wan't to tell the world why Monero is better than Bytecoin you can do it here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=665950.new#new

Why would you want the animosity? Seems silly to even argue the two let alone create a thread to do so.
