Hi!I've got some problems now,in pool's look up,I can see how many MRO in my wallet. But I can't see any MRO when I open up simplewallet.exe OR CryptoNoteWallet.exe,I runned bitmonerod.exe whole night to sync blockchain, but simplewallet still 0 MRO in it.HOW COME?I cannot figure out why?Minerd works well, the address is right, but I still cannot see any MRO in my wallet?CryptoWallet's status is READY,it works! At very first time,I minerd in http://moneropool.org/,I don't know he paid me or not,and then I moved here http://mro.extremepool.org/,still not paid me?I doubt.Who know why, tell me PLZ.

Still wild and free
This is getting ridiculous...
Page after page after page of "is this pool up?", "is this pool paying?", "is this pool under DDOS?", "how do I solo mine?", etc. Important updates are diluted in no time amid this!
I have no doubts a good chunk of the last pages are completely uninteresting to a newcommer curious about monero.

The Monero Mining thread was created so this one doesn't get clogged, don't hesitate to use it.

Not entirely the same. By posting, I can chose to unwatch the thread at any point but still go back to it if I ever need to (and forgot about it) by 'show new replies...'.

Interesting! I actually do the same without even noticing that i do it!

Question : Wolf's pool just had 3 orphans in a row while mine.moneropool.com just reset its database

Is there some kind of reason behind this ?

I guess Claymore will be able to provide a answer for that.

Thanks David

Thanks I have seen that reference

I know this is newblike but I am use to soloing with the .conf , I guess due to the gpuminer being a different build solomining with Gpu's cant be done ?

This is what I am currently running on pools but they seem to be terribad

Cpu miner .bat would be :

minerd -a cryptonight -o pool:port -u YOUR-WALLET-ADDRESS -p x -t #

Gpu miner .bat would be :

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o Pool:Port -p x -u ADDY
CPU instructions are OK. GPU, I can't say, I don't GPUmine.

I also think that nothing can be more efficient than ASICs.
For BTC, FPGA are less efficient than ASIC, but arrived earlier. Could the same thing happen with Phi? Being less powerful than ASIC but earlier to come?

I'd like to open a debate. Xeon Phi.

What do you think of Xeon Phi performance-wise? Do you see them being adopted by professionnel miners, or even not-so-casual miners? Why? How? Which consequences on price, distribution...
As an added question: will Monero become successfull enough to generate an interest in FPGA? How would FPGA compete with Xeon Phi (or AMD competitor)?

kiyominer already ported cpuminer to the Xeon Phi (sha256 only) and performance wasn't mind-blowing for the cost. I think the Phi has its uses, but not for mining.

Hey, is there any way for the wallet to spit out its previous balance automatically before refreshing if it hasn't been refreshed in a while? Sometimes I go for a few weeks before opening a particular wallet .. and have a few of them with different balances. Any way to have it kick out the last balance and then refresh automatically like usual so I know I'm refreshing the right wallet?

'balance'
'refresh'

I think this is what you're asking for...
Cheers,

You should use 0.8.8.1 - it's newer. Backup you wallet, then delete the .bin wallet file (but not th .keys). Then open your wallet as usual (it'll be recreated from the keys) and sync it. If it continue to have errors dalete p2pstate.bin file from %AppData%/bitmonero and try again.
