^  Yup.  Even with all the sell downs that happened for the last 5 weeks or so, XMR/USD looks decent than most other alts’ charts.  Another decent looking chart is WAVES/USD, which could be a sleeper if ever the bulls come back.

ADA which most people hate for some reason looks really good too.

Things have turned out very well for Monero, in fact it has had an incredible recovery, also that BTC has done its part and is in a range between $ 39k and $ 40k, I think that as BTC goes up, Monero will shine much more:

Quote
Monero ranked 27 and saw an 11.07% price rise in seven days. The alt was down 46.43% from its ATH and had a breakeven multiple of 1.87. XMR’s price has been on an uptrend since June 13 and if it keeps increasing it might test the $310.4 resistance mark.

At the moment the Monero bulls are enjoying the gains, and possibly the omens are that it may continue to rise further in price.

Hueristic, not much has changed, certainly not your luck or timing with this fickle coin  Cheesy
I've been semi/mostly-retired and living frugally, other than blowing wads of money on RC cars after a 30 year hiatus.  Where do the days go?

Shit, Lol you got that right!

Glad to hear your getting some retirement time in.

OK... So we ended a great run recently...

Not price.

Transactions.

After jumping up to over 30 per day avg, after the Muskpocalypse we seemed to have dumped back down to just a little more than 1/2 that.

What does this mean?

hodling/indecision

Hah, I needed to sell a few right when we peaked 500 but was in no hurry to finish the kyc (Kraken) and bam off a cliff!

I haven't sold since before alphabay so what are the odds? Smiley

What do you guys do to offboard these days?

BTW, you been quite lately, all well?

Shit, gotta check out, bbl

Dude, I was just thinking of you earlier!

I was remembering why I had coins on paxos and it was because I noticed binance coin had pumped (so i went on there and scrapped up what was left) and I thought oh yeah Globb0 was playing with that one, hope he still has a bag. Smiley

Haha, I'm old...I had to google what sour diesel was!

You rock sir, its an honour to be remembered.

When I got in I bought Monero with about 80% of my bitcoin.  In ~2015 it got up enough that I could sell 1/3rd of it to get back my total BTC stake.  Since then I have only ever done some small transactions to and from other alts, LTC, or the like...  almost not at all.

I have no plan, which may be a bad thing... we will see.

I never used ltc for anything but back when I was trading to move between exchanges. But I just used it for the first time in years to get my shitcoin (binance coin) to paxos so it looks like it still has utility. I can't believe how much they pumped it. I only had it on there to cover trading fees.

Just got home and cut the lawn and I am fucking beat.

 How have you been?

Old, tired.

time has caught up with me. Smiley

How have you been?I haven't offloaded anything since 2017, but I've got a verified Kraken account locked and loaded.

I kept putting it off because then I couldn't sell anything and still didn't do it because of the dump but I have been getting ruined at the casino and will have to cover some bills because well I'm just a degenerate gambler that won't quit when the cards are fucking me. Cheesy

Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

I've been alright, but feeling "meh" in general. I'm tired of working, and not having any free time. Hopefully that will change by the end of 2022. How have you been?

Monero at this time is having a lot of relevance, it has attracted the attention of investors, however the market movements for btc have delayed the movements of Monero due to its price drop, Monero may drop a little more in price, however many are waiting to buy in the dip:

Quote
The relative Strength Index on Monero’s 4-hour chart highlighted that it was making slight recoveries and heading towards the neutral zone after briefly being the oversold zone. However, selling pressure was dominant over buying pressure which pulled the asset’s price down.

Moreover, Squeeze Momentum Indicator showed dominant bearish momentum as the red bars increased in length at press time.

I think that the best time to buy XMR is now, because if more BTC falls, many investors will buy in the dip, they do similar things to how they do with BTC.

^  Yup.  I had like 60% of my trading stuff over there back in the day and the rest at Bittrex and BTCe.  No KYC, annoying the mods in the troll box, overall high volume across the board for the more popular altcoins.

And I remember there were pairs that had XMR as the base currency.  The original owner prolly is waaay ahead of his time.  Grin

Yes, Polo was cool back in the day - and Monero was a part of its success.  Like others, I moved there as soon as Monero was listed - just to actually be able to buy some.

Running XMR pairs was about the exchange's fondness for the coin, I assume.
Of course Tristan d'Agosta sold up in the end and it's never really been the same since.  It was a bit iffy and chaotic, but it was cool.  It was one of the big exchanges at one point.  I still have a kind of loyalty to it, probably irrationally nostalgic - but lately I have reluctantly moved half my alt trading off it in favour of Finex.

Now Polo's moving as fast as it can into Defi stuff (driven in part by investor Justin Sun of course) but I am a bit too old school for Defi.

I still can't resist trading some alts, though.  That said - all alts except Monero are just for stacking a little BTC.  If I trade Monero, it's to get more Monero.  It's just too good to let go of and certainly underpriced.

^What's Jim got to do with it, cAPSLOCK...?  Wink

Mini news: Poloniex has XMR in 'wallet maintenance' no withdrawals or deposits.  Normally I would say 'so what' but ETC has been in this 'cage' for months now, and that is no exaggeration, it really has been months.   ...

Polo has been a scam exchange for years now (since circle acquisition), such a shame it was the best one back in the day.
