A certain faction of Monero people like to believe that if you don't 'get the joke' then you don't really understand what Monero is all about.

It's bullshit.

It's now the official narrative as retweeted by FluffPonzi "Judging by all the butt hurt on the #XMR hashtag and subreddit I'd say @fluffyponyza just got all the right people out of Monero"

That's indeed horse crap. And ridiculous.
Fluffy shot himself in the foot tonight.

So, who gave him the right to decide who should be here and who shouldn't?  Especially if he is "not a leader in the Monero community" as he states, what right does he have to pull a stunt like this that affects the rest of us?

He owes everyone involved here a sincere apology and a change of heart. So, what did He do back when the main dev for BCN became an Asshole?  He forked the code...

Sold my stash after almost 3 years.
There is no upside potential left here.

Bye Monero. What a mess.

Same. I was a hodler since summer of '14 and dumped everything today.

Also, I guess some Monero programmers get donations in XMR for their time by the community? Bit disrespectful to them unless price restores quickly. Fluffy is already rich so it's easy for him not to be affected.

Do you think, after tonight, he is still fit to be the public face of Monero?

You still don't get it, do you? If you want a different public face for Monero, go out and do it. No one nominated Fluffy.

You're talking nonsense. The vast majority of people, including myself, wouldn't be capable of being the 'public face' of Monero.

FP is, de facto, that public face and, as such, has a responsibility to the community. Forget about the money. Forget about the speculators. Think of the people who have invested a great deal of their time, effort and love into this project. I think he showed enormous disrespect to them tonight.

His meta stance of 'I'm the biggest troll scammer and no-one should believe a word I say' only goes so far. It's a joke that stopped being funny a long time ago.

I do get it, actually. A certain faction of Monero people like to believe that if you don't 'get the joke' then you don't really understand what Monero is all about.

It's bullshit.

This, 100% thanks again Billy....  Tongue

No. I told you before. If we were in traditional finance FluffyPalmface would be under investigation now.
This isnt traditional finance. Thats the point.

Regulations in terms of trading can be a good thing. For example, it allows you not to get robbed by P&D artists.

Was it just this tweet: https://twitter.com/fluffyponyza/status/867513906901766144
or did Fluffy try to build anticipation prior to the tweet?

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.

The other part of the point, is that regardless of FP, Monero does its thing.  Yeah, he fucked the price for a while.  Monero still works great though.  While I did suspect him of trolling, I still bought some around ~0.021.  They will be under water for a few hours/days/months, but after 3 years in Monero, I'm pretty used to it AND  I am responsible for my own trading decisions.

If like me you're playing big money in cryptos I can only advise you to be careful.
Monero is badly led. FluffyPony may be a smart guy. Intellectually speaking. Yet he's still a greasy and unpredictable imbecile. It's not only about what happened tonight. That guy never inspired me anything positive. The more I see him the more I feel like he's going to fuck me in the ass.

I prefer to play it safe. Even if it jumps to 200$ next year fuck off.
Good luck.

You feel entitled, and that's why Fluffypony had to tie you to a stake and burn you to a crisp.  A sacrifice, if you will, to the Goddess of Chaos and Irrational Exuberance (ie Hubris).

Monero obviously isn't for you. Dash, which it's emphasis on marketing and paucity of technology, seems a better fit.  Smiley

If you are fascinated by 3 year old market speculation, by all means, go back and read.  Otherwise, IMO a few weeks worth is all that's really relevant.

Turned off my bot. Gonna wait for the dust to settle on this one. Sadly, I think there might be a lot of cheap Monero flooding the market soon and I'm not relying on TA for this one.

What's also hypocritical though is when for example ZCash pumps to 200+ euros he is making tweets dissing at it. If he really believes his "I don't care about prices" and "I don't trade", he should also practice what he preaches and just work on monero without caring what the price does on an exchange (whether it's for his coin or others).

Not sure whether the price would correct. This was just purely fucking over average people with insider information. There is no moral high ground for fluffypony anymore. Monero is a great coin, but it sure lost some enthusiasts tonight. And what worth is a coin without adoption?

For me, Monero now is just another coin. The love is gone. And I didn't even trade.

But why make Monero responsible for his actions. Monero is an open source project and he is a self-(un)proclaimed spokesman.
