Great day for XMR, better for Spagni to leave on his own terms as a 'clown' than getting jailed by TPTB, or kidnapped by gangsters. Once I saw reports the FBI were 'concerned' about XMR anon features it was obvious Spagni would have to go sooner rather than later.

Medusa, it's true we lost credibility, but we also gained credibility. We lost credibility among dead weight speculators, and gained credibility among principled individuals who are looking for a genuine project to support. As I've said, I don't condone Fluffy's method, but long term I believe this will be a net positive. The negativity surrounding this event will blow over in a few days, while the respect gained with the people we need onboard will extend for years.

Regarding Spagni I am not sure. I know he made no profit with this, its not how his character is. I am still angry, but in a strange way proud too, very mixed. This has not changed anything on the fundamentals of Monero which are strong. The irony is that the real announcements will come very soon and move the price higher. Today it`s bad, tomorrow it`s just a joke, people will forget it and trade on. So cool down, relax.

From the TA perspective the behaviour of XMR price has not really changed. I expect it to go up again.

the people who won are those that shorted full power with lots of confidence, not because they did bet, but beause they knew its a hoax, while eveyrone else had to bet if its a hoax or not.

that may be true, but the other coins all gained several hundred % against bitcoin last few weeks, so i dont think your market analysis is really appropiate. XMR would have held up perfectly today if not someone ment he needs to proove something.

I didn't mean 'you' specifically, sorry if that wasn't clear. I had no idea whether you were day trading or not. (You said you weren't, and I have no reason to doubt that).

But the reality is that those who are day trading are playing a zero sum game. If they are buying on the basis of a public pre-announcement, where is your edge in this game? You must be making some sort of judgment based on all available information as to the content, importance, and market-relevance of the announcement (or others' assessment thereof). Just buying on a public announcement and expecting that to be riskless profit is neither reasonable nor realistic.

Agree though to be fair, unfortunately this stunt won't fix hype. It still rules the day and hype may continue to outperform for now.

The only thing I did was to point out that your words cannot be trusted, as your post history indicates that you have malicious motives (extracting XMR from others).
