Hi everybody. My name's nutildah and I'm an ex-Monero troll.

I actually like XMR a lot now. I see its value -- it has a legitimate place in the cryptosphere that has yet to be substituted.

I come back here today to share this little story with you, which you might find to be humorous. Not sure what ever happened to SaddamBitcoin, but some of you may remember him.

Was going through my old posts and found a recap of the story, which goes a little something like this:

I don't know what inspired me to find this post... Think I was reading through rpietla's competing WO thread and saw a comment by SaddamBitcoin (don't know what happened to that guy, maybe he struck it rich with XMR and fucked off)...

...

Sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2014 I made a bet with SaddamBitcoin that the price of XMR would drop below 0.01 BTC before the end of the year. He was of the utmost firm opinion that it would not. The loser had to send pictures of themselves peeing on their own head.

Its time for SaddamBitcoin to live up to his part of the bet and pee on his own head.

XMR dropped below .01 on Dec 17th. I can't find the comments that were part of the bet -- most likely they were deleted by one of your mods.

But he owes me a picture of himself peeing on his own head. Or else I'm going to start my own thread with it.

It's true, I lost the bet fair and square. Regardless, my faith in Monero remains strong so I must uphold my end of the bargain.

I will deliver a photo of the deed to Nutildah by midnight Dec 31st 2014.

Sure enough, he upheld his end of the bargain. I think. He did PM me somewhere between 2 and 4 pictures  -- but -- I was so dumbfounded that he actually sent them that I never actually bothered to look at them. (I'm not really into that sort of thing from a fetish standpoint or a sadist standpoint, if you could even call it that.)

Being the dick that I was (am), I posted links to them somewhere. Later I got a PM from somebody who offered me 5 XMR to remove the post with the links. I felt kind of guilty about the whole affair so I just deleted the post without taking the 5 XMR. Apparently they were real pictures of him actually peeing on his head!

So that's my story, hope you liked it. I laughed hard when I saw it for the first time in 4 and a half years. If it made you smile, mission accomplished.

And I did find the initial bet post, just recently:

I'm speculating I will continue to remain correct and Monero will continue to fall like gentle pee on your heads.

Should have invested in a coin that was meant to be used for the long-haul and not just as a high-risk investment vehicle.

How about this?

If Monero fails this year (goes below 0.001 BTC), I will pee on my own head and send you a photo.

If Monero reaches 0.02 BTC this year, you must pee on your head and show us.

Love it. You're on Mr. Hussein! Mark my words, this will be the mother of all bets...

To demonstrate that I am a good sport, I left him a retroactive positive trust for upholding his side of the bet in 2014.

LOL, burry your head in the sand when people present information to you in life that contradicts your world view.

In 2022 there is no point in supporting obsolete chains like Litecoin and Monero when you could be using technically superior projects like DERO, Incognito Chain, and 0xMonero to name a few. Monero cannot scale to be used as a world currency and has no smart contract functionality.

Your literally shilling a Monero affinity scam and at the same time shitting on Monero lol. 0xMonero isn't even an original shit token, it's just a crappy ripoff of 0xBitcoin. Big brain over here.

Haha, you fell into the trap of addressing the Troll and allowing him to shill his scam shitcoin as an answer. Cheesy

rookie move on your part. Wink

It's not an affinity scam, unless you want to call Bitcoin Cash an affinity scam because there is similar reasoning behind its founding and the founding of 0xMonero. No one has every complained in the official project channels of having purchased 0xMonero on accident instead of Monero. As to 0xBitcoin, that would be an affinity scam because they claim to be Bitcoin on Ethereum and their community are marketing it as such.

As to the code, yes, 0xMR used a mining contract based on the 0xBTC contract, but that was for fair distribution and token mining ended after two years.

Now you will argue then, if 0xMonero is just a token, then how can it compare to Monero, and I will direct you to the whitepaper for that, as it explains it in great detail.

You are also making a mistake in your argument that I should point out. You are equating a project simply to the code behind it. This is a difficult concept for new investors in the market to comprehend so I will break it down for you. Take Chainlink for example, if you looked at the token you would say that it's just an erc20 token, based on the contract, but it is the foremost oracle network in crypto. As you can see, a project is more than a token contract. In that regard, 0xMonero developed a private bridge and mixer called 0xTIP as well as several privacy mobile apps, a game, and has a built in Tor proxy VM on its website. I should also add that account based cryptos are inherently more private than UTXO based cryptos but once again, I suggest you review the whitepaper for a more thorough understanding.

Stop calling people pedos here. Even if you could document that, which I doubt, it's not the place for it. Last warning. Quoting the thread rules

I've been on this board posting over 4 years now. This is not a sock puppet account thank you.

I see posts here slandering 0xMR because it has a low marketcap. Since when does price denote the technical capabilities of a project? If you are going to debate, at least put in some effort.

I speculate that any shitcoin with a market cap of less than half the price of the median american home should just be rounded down to zero:

I sold my Monero for 0xMonero around the time that Fluffy Pedo was arrested the first time. I'm done with Monero. Think about it. They are putting in a South African prison, one of the most dangerous ones in the world. Don't you think that he would tell the authorities how to track transactions and who the team members are etc. to get a lighter sentence? I'm certain he would. The entire chain is compromised now.

All of this is foolishness.  Monero is not Ricardo Spagni.  I cannot speculate on what is happening to him, or if he is guilty or innocent.  But he cannot tell anyone how to track transactions.  People way smarter than him have been working on that forever.  The source code is public.

0xMonero?  Lol.  Tradeogre does not even have a market for that... you might as well just throw away your keys.

Nice, I didn't feel he deserved the effort of this answer. LOL

Life, Love and Laughter...
June 15, 2022, 08:40:05 AM

I don't know why, but it makes me smile to see ETH crashing  Grin

XMR going down with BTC seems like old news; nothing to see here, come back next year.  I'm sad to say I have hardly transacted with XMR since the demise of XMR.TO.  I've been away from crypto in general this year, living off grid in the mountains. I don't miss the computer or people or the rat race much at all (and now with Starlink I'm a bit connected again).  Call me when I can buy a new excavator for a handful of XMR  Tongue

I know why... It is because ETH is by far the single biggest attack on Bitcoin from the beginning of all time.  And will continue to be... with the POS change being the next campaign.

It's also why I tend to hate the recent anti-bitcoin narrative in the XMR camp.  We are basically using the same kinds of arguments that are used to support the shittiest of shitcoins (which really is ETH). Wink

What makes you think ETH's switch to proof of stake is an attack vs BTC?  The switch was always in their roadmap since the project started.  And it's even laughed at because the merge has been delayed for years and now it's coming everybody seems to feel threatened.  Just leave them alone and let them do their thing.  If the merge happens without imploding ETH then great if not, oh well.  No need for all the hate.  They're building the biggest blockchain casino the world has ever seen.  We should appreciate it.  The world would be a boring place without Ethereum.

I also don't like the way the Monero community attacks other projects like zCash and 0xMonero. If your crypto is so much better than you shouldn't have to slander other projects, the tech will speak for itself. The Monero community is one of the most hateful and malicious in the industry from what I've seen.

Now that is way over the top.  First of all...  there is a big difference between saying Monero is better than Bitcoin, than saying Monero is better than pre mined, dev taxed, trusted setup, corporate NSA backdoored shitcoins. Wink

And I personally think the Monero community is one of the most well rounded, mature, introspective "crypto" communities out there...
