Just to be clear...the earlier chart was the average blocks per day RATE....without any blocks we are truly dead. Didn't think to see if all that hash came from MRR. You're right someone spent a TON of Btc to do this.

hmmm, so reading all of this, seems like a great time to buy up some more

the reason for this is, someone launched a very expensive "attack" by making the network hashrate so high,
the difficulty kept shooting up. then, they dropped off the network because they couldnt afford to keep it up
so now we are mining, looking for a block with a very high difficulty, with a normal hashrate instead of a skyrocketed one.
we'll find a block shortly, and things will be normal. we are looking into changing our retarget, but for now, i dont mind that
someone spent a ton of money renting rigs from my friends at miningrigrentals lol i just think its funny that they couldnt keep it up
(maybe viagra would help)

Its not the wallet that is the problem. The network has not found a block in over 7 hours. That is because someone with a huge amount of hashing power is holding the Verge network under siege. Your wallet won't sync until the network awards a block. Someone is obviously trying to manipulate the price of Verge. The difficulty code is not right in my opinion as it still should be giving a block out every now and then and it is not. Devs may want to readjust this code so the network does not freeze up when there is a high difficulty.

Wow crazy hash rate - I would like to know how much of that hash is actually coming from China - you would be surprised.
We are at risk of a huuuge pump and dump yeah.. so be prepared to get your coins either for sale at 10000 satoshi or if they really want to ruin the coin at 2 satoshi..
I think they wont waste their time to ruin the coin rather to raise the value. Don tworry about it. when they have done their pumping and dumping we will probably have made a lot of money and still be left with a great coin
