Daily %1 profit is enough for me for trading alt coins.
If i see %1 profit i sell them all if i lose more then %10 then i buy more to averege down the price.
Thats simple and effective strategy.

Long-term strategy can be life changing so hold it bit longer 1-2 years and also invest in great ideas that influence the future for better.

depending on which course, it's all very difficult. sometimes I get out through the exchange rate, like the dollar or the ruble. that is, I make a very long circle.

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?

If do day trader i will set about 3-5% return then will take profits. If i do mid term then will take profits 200% to 300% it will take maybe about 2-3 months. And lastly for long term trading i will hold it maybe 2-3 years , and the return can easy up to x50 to x100. For me i like do long term investment , it because less stressful and no need to monitor market everyday. Very stressful if do day trading need to monitor market closely. Most of my friend will just buy and hold, and 90% will make profits.

Tips for trading Altcoins: Most Altcoins lose their value over time. They simply bleed their value away slowly (sometimes rapidly).
Take this into account when holding Alts for the medium and long term, and of course choose them carefully. What kind of Alts are recommended for the long term? Remember, this is only when there is a reason for making a trade. The projects/coins that have a higher daily trading volume and which have a widespread community behind them, with continuous development, are here to stay with us:

Ethereum ETH, Monero XMR, Factom FCT, DASH, are all leading coins and traded the most volume daily. You should follow the coin’s chart and identify low and stable periods. Such periods are likely to be a consolidation period by the whales, and when the right time comes, accompanied by a good press release of the project, the pump will start and they will sell in profit.

trading strategy is very in need but trading also requires luck. if you ask how long we hold bitcoin in trading the answer is uncertain because we are trading by following and monitoring the current market price. if the time is right you do not have to hold it anymore. you can sell it with a profit of 15% of your capital that alone is quite profitable.

My strategy is to invest in projects which have or will have some positive news. I set sell orders (at +50%, +100% and +200%) and time limit (2-6 weeks) to take profit and try to forget about it. If some of my take profit orders are not completed in that period I sell at the local high price.

Trading is so risky. My only strategy is search for good to trade, i do it once or twice a month. I seached and read to find which one is good to trade then if i saw that the price of value of it is i can afford to buy then i will buy and hold it until i get a profit to 15-30% then that is the time i will sell it.

I dont work trading based on time. I work based on price run.
I have different way with the others who want to invest in a year.  I will invest my money only maximum for few months.

I invest in short term, I usually keep few days and sell in 10-20% profit. It's good strategy in my opinion.

Everyone has a trading strategy that works in a perfect market.  Yours works fine in a bull market but what do you do if your coin drops immediately after buying it?  Do you keep holding until it recovers?  Do you sell at a loss and move onto something else?  What do you do if you sell the coin and it keeps going up afterwards?

It's just a long-term or medium-term strategy, the main thing is to buy successfully when the news promises a strong coin growth Smiley

I am not trading because when I was trading prices were always increasing when I sold and decreasing when I bought. If I trade now, I probably develop a special bot for this.

Here is a little bit better strategy. Buy tokens after their release under ICO price at EtherDelta and sell them after the listing at some well known exchange  Cool

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?

I think there is no sure-fire or concrete answer to this question. Since you operated on the term "strategy", it means that it could change depending on the landscape, movement and trend of the market you are following. I think most people would give their own workable percentage on which part to invest for bitcoin, major altcoins, and newer altcoins. That could work; however, you should also consider how much profit you would want to get plus the amount of investment you are willing to use. Another aspect to consider is the time frame you would want to invest, if it's short or long term. Those aspects would guide you on how you should play your trades.

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?

What i usuallly do is margin trading so i call it. I divide my alts into 3 portions. If i have like 20% profit i sell a portion of my alts. Then if it grows Upto 50% i sell the second, the last portion of it i hold. If the alts goes up so i most of the time sell the last portion of it. And also, for ats they usually go low after a big high. So when it goes down that's the time i buy again. I usually fo the same for all the alts that i own.

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?
When everyone is selling - buy, when everyone is buying - don't buy because it will crash. If you've bought it don't be greedy, sell on time.
Don't buy coins because every single thread is about single coin, it is obviously pump. Don't sell coins just because someone is spreading fud. Percentage varies from trader to trader, what is good for one doesn't mean it will be good for others.

I used to trade within a day, but now I noticed that I have losses, because the market is extremely volatile. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that I would trade in the long term.
