Is this still happening? Cause I'm still crashing every so often with the blue screen of death. I have to actually fuck with my power supply to get the computer back on so it may not be an issue with your miner but X16R was working just fine on 1.16... tried HEX and having tons of issues...

I don't insta-crash anymore trying to mine HEX with my 1070Ti GTX after I turned down intensity to 21 (I'd turned it up to 22-23 as recommended for HEX, but it insta-crashes...)

I also turned back my overclock significantly because it's crashing every few hours.

Nothing seems to be fixing the issue and I still can't use intensity higher than 21 or it will insta-crash.

I have fully updated drivers and Cuda 9.2

It's weird but 1.16 and 1.17 receive different jobs from nicehash on x16r, how is that possible? When they start job's sequence is the same and 1.17 is 10%+ faster, but next job's sequence 1.17 gets may have move difficult algos so 1.16 gets ahead in speed...

Version 1.16 does appear to be much better on nicehash compared to version 1.17. I'm curious what they changed that would cause this.

Could anyone help me figure out why my PC crashes and I get a blue screen whenever I try to mine HEX using 1.17 ?

x16r works fine but hex insta-crashes my PC

gonna try a driver reinstall but assuming that doesn't work?

Is it possible to just mine skein or something?  It's one of the X16R component algos, but I dunno if I can run z-enemy on just skein.

Anyone know what this means?

Cuda error in func 'cuda_check_cpu_setTarget' at line 41 : unspecified launch failure.

Try a lower intensity.  On the command line put --intensity=19 and see if it persists.

Hey Smiley i just published my review and benchmarks for z-enemy nvidia gpu miner, the results can be found here https://1stminingrig.com/z-enemy-1-16-nvidia-miner-review-and-benchmarks/

Excellent job on the review my man, I have to say, I don't get why Devs never have a cover sheet of the algos and hashrates. I guess it's because they don't want to be compared to others unfavorably but my god what a hassle to get the stats you need for your cards. I commend you on putting this review together and providing such a high level of detail. Good job..

Thank you very much! Smiley maybe they want the users to post their results for each algo, i also don't get it why there is not excel file nicely done for each algo with different gpus and also clock recommendation, will be soo much easier for people who wants to use the miner.. anyway i don't mind to do it even if it takes around 3-4 days Smiley

Check your numbers again, from a quick glance i can see you have errors in hashrate for sonoa and bitcore.

Hey Enemy.
Could you please try to implement hash-rate history in the miner so it can shows average speed for the last 5 min , 15 mins , 60 mins. I am talking for x16r :]

good idea

Z-ENEMY VER 1.17 (PUBLIC) From: Dk & Enemy (z-enemy)

IMPORTANT:
For maximum performance make sure you have latest drivers  (ver. 398+)
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Greetings, fellow miners! We're releasing an updated version of our mining software with some speed inside:

-  Major performance improvements: 5-10% for X16R & X16S, XDNA (hex), x17, Bitcore(BTX), c11, Sonoa, Renesis, Aergo
-  Lower end cards like 1050/1060 will see additional few %  (yes, a bonus)
-  The miner no longer depends on memory, it allows to run memory clock at +0 or -500 MHz without performance loss.

Happy mining!

Great, thank you!  No improvement to Xevan?  I thought I had read Xevan is based on X17, but I don't know much about this stuff.

The latest version 1.16 of the miner works very stable!
I can say that I noticed an increase in my hashrate,
so I'd like to thank the developer for his work and that the most important thing is that he always updates the miner without bugs!

Suggestion / feature request

Please add --benchmark parameter.

E.g. for X16r it would benchmark each of the 16 sub-algorithms n times and then report the average hash rate.

In theory this will produce the most accurate hash rate average because over time each sub-algorithm would be run equally often.

Any thoughts?

Most kernels don't have the same timings if they are first (or last). There is also some kernel sequences that reduce timings ("imported" from ccminer X17).
All those optimisation tricks make benchmark inaccurate for X16x
