hello people , I was on zeitcoin since it was pow in 2013, tried to sync my wallet two times these days , do not come on with nodes shown on cryptoid, cann't merge my four wallets in one
by the way the deadline can't be so short for such an old coin ...
any help will be appreciated

it is usually slow and difficult to sync.

One safe way to sync is to create a batch file in windows (whatevernamehere.bat) and paste below content into it. make sure to replace locations with the actual locations on your computer where zeitcoin is installed....

c:
cd C:\Zeitcoininstallation_path_here\Zeitcoin
:again
start zeitcoin-qt.exe -datadir="c:\yourpath\Zeitcoin"
TimeOut /t:870
taskkill /im zeitcoin-qt.exe
TimeOut /t:60
goto again


THIS WILL sync the wallet, just run and walk away until its done.

My big problem, is that I can't sync 100% the wallet. Will you trade it anyway?

NEW Wallet: Install Instructions
Make a Zeitcoin folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\
Then Extract and copy the files from ZeitcoinBlockchainSnapShot.rar into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin
Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

ACTIVE Wallet:Install Instructions ,
(Be sure to have a backup of your Wallet.dat 1st)
Make sure Zeitcoin is closed
Go under c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin (for Windows) or in the Zeitcoin data folder for other OSes
Then Delete 5 files : .lock & blk0001.dat & blk0002.dat & db.log & debug.log
Then Delete 2 folders named : database & txleveldb
Then Extract and copy the files from ZeitcoinBlockchainSnapshot.rar  into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin
Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

Once your Zeit Wallet is completely Synced.
Check your Balance, if the Balance is incorrect.
Click on Help, click Debug Window, click Console,
type in repairwallet and hit enter, then check your Balance
If Balance is still not correct.
Then From a Command Prompt run zeitcoin-qt.exe -rescan
will take a little while but should correct your balance info.

As you can see it has been 1 year 9 months since last it was accessed.
This is in direct conflict, to statements GrantThornton have made ,
where they claimed all coins were moved to secure wallets after the hack.
The block explorer does not lie, no zeitcoins were ever moved after the hack occurred.

The swap to a new coin, is an opportunity for a fresh start for many users here.
It will be directly to correct issues that plagued the old coin.

Major issue
1.  Too large a supply, this made keeping a bitcoin market impossible,
     Their will be a massive reverse split ratio between the old coin and new coin.
     New coin will be able to maintain bitcoin markets easily.

2.  Complaints of slow syncing, reasons for this is the 30 second block speed,
     New coin block speed will be 2 minute and have Improved Syncing Technology over old coin.
     Blockchain snapshots will never be needed for the new coin.

3.  Old coin had to implement an ultra low interest rate , to offset the overly large initial supply.
     New coin will be able to implement a permanent fixed 5% interest rate.

FYI:
The Community Support for the old coin has been drying up,

the reason only 30 days for the swap once the new coin is ready, is to make sure the swap can still happen.
If the old blockchain seizes due to lack of staking, then no one will get to swap.
So waiting on anything other than the new coin code, such as liquidators whom had almost two years to release coins is not possible.

Ok, I get it that you couldn't leave the swap open indefinitely but according to their last update... https://www.grantthornton.co.nz/Update-for-Cryptopia-account-holders-18-September-2020/... a claim portal will be available by the end of this year.

The swap is optional, no more than a 30 day window will be given.
That being said, when that 30 day window will be is currently unknown.
It might reach into December or later, it might not.

Cryptopia will be offline 2 years in Jan 2021, Grant Thornton has proven to be unconcerned with returning anyone's actual coins.
There is no proof , they can even access the old zeitcoin wallets.
Grant Thornton claimed to have secured the coins by moving them to new wallets,
but according to the zeitcoin block explorer , not one of cryptopia's zeitcoins have moved since the shutdown.
I doubt the 2 year anniversary will make any difference.


 

Any way the swap can take into account coins trapped on Cryptopia? There's some hope that withdrawals may actually be available in December...

But if this swap only gives 30 days I can easily see Cryptopia users missing the window...

Programmer is running a testnet, once he is ready, all of the info such as Github repo & new coin specs will be posted.

Yobit needs to sync and allow users to withdrawal their coins, so they may swap individuality.
Since Yobit has not bothered to sync in over 2 years, I would not hold my breath, but it would be a nice surprise.

Sounds great.... I was just about to add the Wallet.dat to my "what if folder" and delete my node lol. I figured I should check here first... glad I did.

I remmber when that junk pile called DogeCoinDark got delisted from everywhere, I deleted everything... then it became Verge! I missed a massive run up and I would still be ahead!

Is there a Github repo I should be following? What is the new codebase? Dash with Private Send? Erc20 Token? Something else? Will Yo-Bit be contacted and asked to swap to new chain?
