Yeah the wallet.dat is pretty old almost 5 years, i have 16 GB of ram and i also tried to run only the Zeitwallet and nothing else besides. Had the script running through the night it worked like a charm and did the trick. Thanks man you have been really helpful.

There's some problem syncing Zeit wallet. It goes back to block number 5333133 again and again. And the wallet says the last received block was generated 5 days ago. Where as I have syncing my wallet daily but for past 3 days it's not syncing. I only sync on weekdays between office timings.

Also that it is right now says Downloaded 5333156 of 5333478 blocks of transactions history (99.99% done).

Yet says Last received block was generated 5 days ago.

Hmm,
if it is an old wallet, then Rename your wallet.dat to wallet.old and then try to sync.

if the above fails or it was already a new wallet.

Other option is to auto restart the wallet and let it run overnight when no one is using the PC.
Create a bat file that auto restarts, be sure the zeitcoin-qt.exe is in the directory where you start the bat file.

PC needs to have 4 gig of ram, as zeitcoin will use ~2 gig at the present time.

If you are running windows 10 be sure and set compatibility mode to Windows 7 for the zeitcoin app.

As i said i have done this already, getpeerinfo says that i am connected to 54.39.41.212. Everytime i open the wallet it begins to sync but after a minute or so it stops, i checked my firewall settings everything ok and other wallets sync with no problems only Zeit is causing issues. But thanks anyway for your efford explaining it again in detail.

And about the malicouis part of my post. I thought it would be enough to start a attack and preventing others from staking by creating 51% of the blocks but actually you also need 51% of the coin supply, my fault.

You start zeitcoin with the above command,  zeitcoin-qt.exe -connect=54.39.41.212
you may need to run it from a command prompt.
click Help & debug , their should be only  1 active connection, (any more than 1 and you are not doing it right)
this temporary removes the connections created by the false nodes and your block # should increase until synced.
(May require 1 or 2 restarts if it freezes, but the block #s go up consistently.)

Verify your Firewall is not blocking incoming connections.


Define malicious ,
those addresses are staking constantly and keeping the chain moving, aside from helping protect/securing zeitcoin from 51% attack,
I see no other motives on their part. 

If more people were staking, then they would barley be noticed as neither is even in the top 12 of the rich list.

No luck with that. It always stuck at block 5307687. Any further suggestions?


Actually it was 11 and today 15 addresses that created new blocks. Take a look at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/zeit/#!extraction the first two are controlling the chain in a malicoius way.

My wallet is staking every single day

I have my wallet synced, but not staking. Will start staking now again.

Also, there are like 15 Zeit Knights who ideally all would be staking their coins so I don't see why only 4 addresses are generating blocks?

Come on Zeit holders. Get going. Get your wallets out. Get syncing. Support Zeit so Zeit may support you in future

ZEIT has not forked, there are some asshats intentionally causing congestion that is blocking many from syncing.
Block explorer is synced and correct.
All Exchanges are matching the block explorer.

There has been an exodus of stakers, Kiklo has even put a call out for more people to stake, but it has gone unanswered.

The community is faltering and failing zeitcoin.

If you still want to sync, use the following to get sync initially (After installing the snapshot)
zeitcoin-qt.exe -connect=54.39.41.212
* Be sure your wallet is encrypted, otherwise it will try and stake during syncing and slow it down.*

after you get synced restart normally.

Here is the current status ,
Whales are crushing the prices intentionally (They hold ~5 billion coins)
Asshat hackers are causing fake congestion on the network slowly down syncing from anyone that does not stay synced.
The Majority of the Community is not supporting the network

The Road is getting harder , it is not for the faint of heart, the ones that want this coin dead are focusing their full efforts into making it happen.

If you are not strong of will , best you sell now and move on, it is not going to get easier for the foreseeable future.

ZEIT will probably be a 1 litoshi coin within 3 months, due to the efforts of it's enemies and the lack of support from it's community.

From there it will hold strong or die.

Since i can't get my wallet synced even after downloading the bootstrap, seeing the low difficulty and that all new blocks are created by only 4 addresses i would say Zeit has forked.

First Principle of POS, security is not Hash/s, but open and up nodes (aka stakers).
ZEIT has a history of solid consistent network numbers.
Time is on your side

At the amount the whales are starting to drop , price decreases in all coins look certain.
The next year will be rough for sellers but good for buyers that are long term. IMO.

Why do you say that?
Currently, they are very large, can they be even bigger decrease?

Anyone without the Will & Strength to hold through a Market Crash,
(Whales are Cashing Out.)

Should get out of All Cryptocoins now!

NEW Wallet: Install Instructions
Make a Zeitcoin folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\
Then Extract and copy the files from ZeitcoinBlockchainSnapShot.rar into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin
Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

Make sure Zeitcoin is closed
Go under c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin (for Windows) or in the Zeitcoin data folder for other OSes

Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

Once your Zeit Wallet is completely Synced.
Check your Balance, if the Balance is incorrect.
Click on Help, click Debug Window, click Console,
type in repairwallet and hit enter, then check your Balance
If Balance is still not correct.
Then From a Command Prompt run zeitcoin-qt.exe -rescan
will take a little while but should correct your balance info.
