I havent heard any replies about not being able to sync on client. its been over a day since i updated and i cannot sync even though i have connections

There have been numerous replies to those having this issue, both here and on the zeit forums. Backup your wallet and delete your blockchain files. Ray suggested a couple pages back that their could be issues with case sensitivity on some OSs. I've never had any problem syncing the Zeitcoin wallet, so I'm unable to offer any first hand experience.

While  having a online shop could be good thing to help promote Zeit
PLEASE tell me that its not just going to sell goods that help sustain a consumer based economy, and that it will be selling goods and services that will help in the main ethos of this coin  and that is a RBE    TVs and trainers l can get any were.
we need to sell  things that are sustainable and eco friendly, If we  only sell consumer products on the site. How is that working towards a RBE

this is a beta version)(consumer products are just for example)and u can trade here with ur ideas or sustainable and eco friendly things,it's up to u)there are no restrictions!

But the problem here is that nobody cares, and everyone is very confident staking ZEIT to long term...

Agree, pure long term is the death for every coin.
There must be a healthy coin flow. How to move forward with a closed mint-wallet? Could anyone explain?

A good idea to bring more people to this coin would be making a CHATROOM in wallet. Look at Billioncoin and all the action it is getting (mostly from Chinese people). Some say it is due to the chatroom in wallet.

I think our devs should look into that.

It is another alternative more to consider. Good contribution! Wink

The fact is that the only trades that appeared to make some volume on mintpal are panic sell trades. And this could lead people to completely give up on this coin if we get back to 1 sat (not concerned, i'm in for the long term)

Well 27 billion coins (in total existence) amounts to only 270 btc total market cap, and there isn't nearly that much on the markets. If there are 270 us in this community who truly believe in this coin, we could put in buy orders on Mint for 1 BTC each at 1 satoshi and that would put a massive buy floor on the coin.

$400-500 on the market isn't that much folks. At the end of the day, the value of a coin is in its community, just like it always has been.

But we have to start outreach programs to other folks in the TZM movement because that is what this coin is tailored to.

This can be an excellent rescue plan of ZEIT! That should we do it now! Without wasting any more time!

But the problem here is that nobody cares, and everyone is very confident staking ZEIT to long term...

The long term risks for cryptocoins, are abysmal!

Cryptoworld is always risky. Where is the problem?
As an example - in germany the Bitcoin is officially accepted as private money since august 2013.
China cannot destroy any cc. They can modify the market price, that's it.

The problem (for what I see) is that many here minimize the high risks existing, and i see them very confident with their long-term plans.

And I think that may be very mistaken, because you can be staking long term, a irretrievable coin, if we not do something now, urgently!

Not sure why you quoted this comment to makes such a post.

Why complain about what someone chooses to include in a website beta? If you don't approve of their website then make your own website and use it to sell whatever you like.

Long term? That's something hard to imagine in the crypto world.
In 5 years all the cryptos might be extinct and a new type replacing them.

So , how do you define longterm?

I am 100% agree with you!

This is not about being impatient nervous anxious hurry or whatever you want to call.
It's about taking risks and that there are real possibilities of losing everything!!!
From input, investing in crypto currencies is much riskier to invest in shares of stock, or deposit money in a bank. And long-term risk grows even more abysmally!
If China decides to fight more strongly against BTC and altcoins, and most important countries to join in this sense soon the BTC will be worthless! And our wallet of BTC and ZEIT could be a nice entertainment for the kids to play...
Or not recall that recently BTC was worth $ 1200 and is now worth about 400, and in a few months it might be 50, and in a year could be worth nothing!

The long term risks for cryptocoins, are abysmal!

An honest critique is not negative.  This community likes to talk about ideals, but often has very little proof of any innovation.  When someone points out these flaws everyone gets upset.  This conversation has actually prompted some people to provide a little transparency, which is very much appreciated.

And again let it be said that Zeitcoin is only 3 months old. What do you expect to happen in that short of a time? You want innovation? It's going to take time. Of course people get upset when you point out "flaws." There are a few people here who have devoted a lot of time and energy into doing things for this coin and the community such as improving wallets, getting us listed on exchanges and setting up multipools, advertising, and building the store. You really think people won't be a little offended if someone who has done essentially nothing comes in and criticizes it? If you were involved with this more and had a hand in getting these things set up and someone came in and pointed out only negative things you would be the same way.

rbizz, I just don't get it man. You have managed to do nothing but post negative things about Zeitcoin. You really seem to be nit picking at this point. We have brought several things to your attention and you have downplayed all of them. Again I will say, if you are so unhappy with Zeit and are only interested in immediate profit then dump and move along.

Store is a good thing. Just a friendly advice - read GPUCoin thread (approximately 2 weeks after launch) about how not to run store. Also I recommend to give a chat with hendr1x who's the developer of store, he might give some good advice. Good thing that price is already low, so store could work.

Hi guys Grin

Good convo going on while I've been busy re-jigging my miners for maximum efficiency.

Just to keep you all 'in the loop' as it were, one of our first major innovations is already in the closed-beta stage & will ROCK YOUR WORLD when online...

It's a ZeitCoin-biased version of 'fleabay' being developed by a couple of guys who met up & started co-operating thanks to the forum.

Here's a sneaky screenie of my putative shopping cart....

*Oh! if only I could buy those things at those prices right fucking now!*

Other things on the near-horizon include:-

Machine-stitched ZeitCoin patches in at least 3 versions  PATCHES THREAD

Vinyl ZeitCoin stickers, both sticky-down (for surfaces) & sticky-up (for car, shop & home windows)   STICKERS THREAD

A fancy new block explorer with oodles of useful stats features

& plenty more good stuff in the pipeline - re-launching our own multi-pool with SHA-256 support is the big one I suppose.

NO-ONE is just sitting back & waiting for things to happen ...

EXCEPT for the whiners here who want everything done for them & won't even get into a convo about the 'way forwards'.

Bumping this coz all the FUD has (as fucking usual!) swamped the posts people really need to hear about...

... plus there's one more thing to add to the "coming soon" list:-

Beautifully-crafted, precision-minted "collectors item" REAL ZeitCoins in a variety of metals up to & including GOLD.

I'd also like to add - a hell of a lot of work is being put into promoting the movement to places WAY beyond this den of vipers, just coz you don't know about it in detail doesn't mean it isn't at least as important as keeping you lot informed. OK, it's MUCH more important. There are a couple of thousand of you, tops. There are another SEVEN BILLION out there who will help make ZeiCoin the natural replacement for 'money'. If you don't see that - well all I can do is pray for you. Even as you prey on anyone you can make a quick buck off.

Here's a relevant cross post:

The funny thing about Bitcoin is that it does require a bit of patience to make some profits, but compared to most investments it really requires very little!  Just hold for a year or so and that is all it takes to do pretty well.

Unfortunately we are getting near to the end of a consolidation period so now is the most painful and hardest time to be in Bitcoin.  The Summer will most likely be much more enjoyable, and less painful for those that have a hard time waiting longer than a few minutes for some good gains. Wink

BitChick classing up the place, showing how it's done.  Grin  Can you pls then teach these immature 'boys' on this forum how to hold their wad for more than 5 friggin' minutes?  Lol.

I'm so glad I'm not part of this stupid "GenY-ADHD-things-aren't-happening-fast-enough-something-gotta-be-happening-every-second-or-life-sucks-oh-snap-something-big-going-down-on-Twitter" generation.  #millenialsaredoomed

I had a professor in college, and this was over a decade ago, mention that he had to change the way he even taught because students could no longer stay focused for an hour long class.  He had to break it up with stories and other creative teaching tactics.  He was a great teacher and I enjoyed his style, but it was interesting that he noticed a change. Also, most students have difficulty even reading entire books anymore.  So I agree that the younger generation struggles with patience and are generally a bit more ADHD.  This desire for instant gratification should help help spur Bitcoin's longterm success though.  It makes sending money internationally more "instant" for example. Wink

This really has nothing to do with Zeitcoin.  Bitcoin has a lot of positive things going for it, so there is good reason to believe that patience will pay off.  I think most people here believe that about Bitcoin.  For Ziet, to just say "have patience," is ridiculous unless there is a solid reason to justify having patience.  Right now an auction site hardly seems like justification.  It's been done for several other coins.  It doesn't have a dramatic effect on price and there is typically very low traffic on those sites (ex blkroad.com).

It has everything to do with it. Bitcoin is SIX YEARS OLD. Zeitcoin is ALMOST three months old.

That's exactly why you can't compare the two.

k.

You'll have to use smaller words or something...not gittin it.
