Do you think that if you are the person in charge of a blockchain project, you will register the name of your project as an account, and then publish all kinds of spam? Would you not pay so much attention to your own brand building? Will you use your own project account to participate in the bounty program?

That appears to be exactly what happened.

There’s also this deleted article to address:

The above would point to a now deleted entry written by @kxwhalexk on Medium back on July the 6th, under the Rainbowcity section (or whatever it’s called over there).

So on top of everything else they were doing kxwhalexk was also taking the initiative to describe Rainbowcity on behalf of Mr. Kun... 'A likely story'... as they say.

You're relatively new here, KingsDen.

I'm not too sure about that either. His very first post, in Meta, was something of a lecture to senior forum members (which everybody was to him at the time).

Hey, don't forget to give yourself credit where its due.

So no one wrote anything sensible - why did this cunning Chinese man register more than 60 accounts on BTT.

So far, the most reasonable version is some kind of preparation for promoting his dapp or some other project.  But she also looks somehow awkward and fantastic.
And collecting merits in such a sophisticated way is simply beyond common sense.  Merit - is not dollars or even crypto.

*tin foil hat on*

* tin foil hat * Huh
Ratimov's investigation was carried out at the highest level!

JaneAhonen! So stop writing nonsense!!!

And I advise this Chinese to confess and repent.
And this will not mean the destruction of his reputation, especially since he really wrote previously valuable posts.

Supposedly everything he writes is through a translator..

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ratimov-plagiarizer-and-now-trust-abuser-5303363

He was even kicked out of chipmixer for this evidence..

How the fuck does rat here get a pass on all this text spinning, translating, and lies, and he even gets to go on crusading against others for the same thing he is completely guilty of?

There is one more similarity between  Ratimov and RainbowKun, beside both of them being plagiarists and that is that they both call their plagiarisms and copypasta articles while all they do is compiling something other people wrote in.

*tin foil hat on* maybe RainbowKun is Ratimov's alt that he us using for merit farm,as thats his goal on the forum. *tin foil hat off*

The maximum number of pupils in a class  is 25. So, @RainbowKun has 3 classes he controls here.
-Could that even be possible?
-Has this kind of scenario happened before in bitcointalk?
Yes it has.  I wish I still had that picture of what looked to be a bounty hunter/sig campaign farm, which was a shot of a bunchof people with laptops sitting around a table with the forum pulled up on them.  It was PMed to me by some member a while back and I'd posted it in a thread that I've long forgotten.

I was about to mention that HODL post as well, but then you mentioned this.
Always reminds me of [this] and [this] whenever I see farm accounts getting caught.

There is reasonably hard evidence based on what nutildah and yoshie pointed out.
It should be noted that the profile of @kxwhalexk was created on 09 June 2021: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/kxwhalexk-3339476
which was a month following the the post by RainbowCityDAO, who also used RainbowCityFinance and included the kxwhalexk twitter handle in their post on 01 May 2021 (linked to by @nutildah and @YOSHIE).

I demand for a counter post by you or any other after some research in order to exonerate some users here and then punish the real offenders(if they exist).

Demanding is too strong. People will actually do as they want and it would have been better to ask nicely instead of "demanding".
I am almost sure that if your name would not be in the list you would have not cared at all about this.
I find the list you've posted wrong. There's no instigation and the merit story is just a story.

So cool down and think again. For now I agree with FatFork in this:

If the word "demand" is rather unsuitable in this case, I hereby withdraw it and replace same with "request ".

If my name was not mentioned, I wouldn't have noticed the thread. It's because my name appeared, that is the reason someone called my attention to this thread.
Concerning care about the thread if my name was not mentioned. I wouldn't have cared much, unless I were to become an established and trusted member. By then, I would make some good judgements.

Anyway, there could be one person behind the accounts or there could be several--who knows?  But even if there were more than one, it's basically an account farm, and higher-ranked accounts are worth money because they can be used to earn more in signature campaigns.  If the account has positive trust or a generally positive reputation, that can be dangerous if sold to a scammer.  What you have to realize is that bounties and sig campaigns are pretty lucrative with bitcoin being as high as it is, so I don't doubt that someone could spend all day "working" to rank up their alt accounts.

Also, this is not an attack on new members in general.  But when alt farms are busted, they're usually when the accounts are at the Jr. Member-Member rank, and that should make sense.  Truthfully, I have no idea how many of the accounts Ratimov listed are connected, because there's no hard proof, i.e., blockchain linkage, between all of them--but I'm nearly certain that the accounts with similar usernames, registration dates, and posting habits are linked.  And since I'm never going to know for sure, barring a complete confession, I'm going to have to be satisfied with the evidence presented and my own gut feeling and experience, and I'm going to ignore those members I think are part of the alt farm.

You're relatively new here, KingsDen.  If you stick around long enough you'll see all sorts of shenanigans like this.

Don't generalize things. This has nothing to do with antagonisms or potential new hostilities towards lower-ranking members since it is an isolated and very specific case. Why would you or anyone else hesitate to give a merit to a post you find useful and constructive? Even if you mistakenly reward a post that later turns out to be plagiarism, it is not against the forum's rules.
I think you're making this into way more than it is.

I call on @Ratimov @DdmrDdmr @LoyceV @Nutilda @The Pharmacist @Lovesmayfamilis and other detectives in the forum that I do not know to swing into action, make more investigations and bring facts. In the end, a  counter post should be made to override this post. Because I am not certain there would ever be a verdict on this post.

This post has only successfully achieved the following;
1. Instigate lower ranking members(especially the ones mentioned) against one another.
2. Instigated higher ranking members especially the merit sources against the lower ranking members.
3. Instigated the entire forum users against the lower rankingmembers.
4. Perhaps, the only positive thing I see about the thread is that it has shown that there may be alts operating here. But it's weird for me to believe that one person will operate 60+ accounts.
The maximum number of pupils in a class  is 25. So, @RainbowKun has 3 classes he controls here.
-Could that even be possible?
-Has this kind of scenario happened before in bitcointalk?
-How will he be able to achieve the posting if not automated?

My perception and approach to the forum has changed these few days.
I saw a good post that deserves a merit. As I was about meriting the post, I remembered this thread. I can't believe that I practically had to visit this thread to see if the user I am about meriting is listed on the 60+ accounts.
I could not believe myself, I began to question me what exactly am I avoiding;
Being implicated or further implicating other users?

@Ratimov has a thread that encourages users(especially Low ranking users) to rank up. I also applied in his thread, though before he could notice me I already had 99 merits and he gave me my 100th merit. That is a commendable act, as I hope to benefit from that thread again.

But with this post, I hereby put it to you that; your efforts in helping lower ranking members rank up is in futility.
Because; you opened a thread that help them rank up, you opened another (this) to demote people you already helped to rank up.
Please put more sincere efforts to making these things believable. Let's say someone has 5 to 8 accounts, this would be believable, and narrow the investigations than allege 60+ accounts.

I was happy when I saw some lower ranking members like me doing well in the forum, but now most of them are hunted.
I do not want to believe that this is an attempt to impede the growth these users, because you and other established members are always happy seeing newcomers doing well.
These are honestly the future of bitcointalk.

Conclusively, I demand for a counter post by you or any other after some research in order to exonerate some users here and then punish the real offenders(if they exist).
Thank you!

Quoting because ban evasion is against the rules and will probably get the post deleted:
I want to introduce the whole story, and I will truthfully describe what I experienced.

First of all, Mr. Kun Yuan is a well-known person in the Chinese encryption community. The Rainbow City project he is about to launch is not a secret in the industry. It has attracted many people's attention and many people are looking forward to its launch.

When I came to bitcointalk for the first time on January 2021, I did not think too much, so I registered under this name, and then started my novice journey and published a series of posts.

At that time, I was a completely newbie, and these messages were all posts I posted with this account.

So I decided to give up using this account and then re-registered an account. This is the kxwhalexk account.

Then I put all my energy on the account of kxwhalexk, and I kept learning through the forum to let myself grow slowly.

Later, I suddenly discovered that Mr. Kun Yuan started to post on bitcointalk, so I paid close attention to its posts, and later I also posted a recommendation post based on what he posted.

It is precisely because of this recommendation post that people in the forum suspect that I and Mr. Kun Yuan are the same account.

You can look at every post made by Mr. Kun. It can be seen that he attaches great importance and caution to every sentence.

If it were 2 accounts, I would also agree. But when there are dozens of such accounts, it is no longer a straw. Can you explain how from July 1 to August 17, 60 accounts suddenly appeared on the forum who write the same, write in Chinese or are interested in Chinese topics?
I'm not doubting that some/many/all of those accounts are owned by the same person(s), I just not convinced RainbowKun has anything to do with it.

Me a little to look around the address given by: nutildah.

BSC Wallet Address: 0x6E609a6E3a51437A91c9D551E292dB06a1FC5c28

See the address in the transaction.

Tx: https://bloxy.info/zh/address/0x6e609a6e3a51437a91c9d551e292db06a1fc5c28

still doing transactions and active until now.

Re-reviewed here.

Tx: https://explorer.bitquery.io/ethereum/txs/transfers?receiver=0x6e609a6e3a51437a91c9d551e292db06a1fc5c28¤cy=ETH

The address used by RainbowcityDAO, if you look again at the transaction at explorer.bitquery.io, receive and send some coins, just press the transaction text.

Unknowingly or coincidentally some of the addresses involved in transactions with RainbowcityDAO addresses, lead to Ratimov's own thread, regarding several suspected scam DeFi and uniswap exchange sites.

Topic: [DeFi] Yield Farming Guides

Looking at the transaction ID, you sent your funds to this address - 0x7A250d5630b4cF539739Df2C5DAcb4c659f2488D which appears to be a privacy router, so you likely didn't stumble into a phishing site. You could still link the website you visited for other users to verify.

Some are doing worse. Like Kper dev have done. He minted more token for the first time and dump the whole market and then he again mint more tokens to get some extra eth from the market. This is the proof: https://etherscan.io/address/0x7A250D5630B4CF539739DF2C5DACB4C659F2488D   It's become very hard to trust any new project now. Any project with an anonymous team always looks suspicious to me.

If you look at the address, it is very likely that Ratimov will find out who is behind all this and the account is linked in this thread.

Whether this is a bunch of phishing sites, operating on the Bitcointalk Forum, time will tell.

Back in the day he wouldn't have survived an hour without getting tarred and feathered by the DT. This forum is indeed dead.

I don't think so... I think the fact that he hasn't been tagged demonstrates DT has evolved somewhat. He hasn't asked anybody to entrust him with money, he's not in a bounty or a sig campaign... No solid reason to leave a tag thus far.

Well, it's just all a coincidence, and 60 Chinese people, cloned, with the same thinking and habits, came to the forum to sow knowledge. Cheesy
I'm still not convinced RainbowKun is part of it. It's obvious many/all of those other 59 belong to the same guy/group/sweatshop hunting for Merit:
My interpretation was that RainbowKun had no idea they were only posting for Merit, and he fell for it.

I'm pretty sure its multiple people (at least 2) coordinating this sort of weird dance on the forum. DdmrDdmr's hypothesis about them drawing attention to a DAO makes the most sense thus far. No way RainbowKun isn't aware of the actions of the farm.

Edit: @LoyceV -- what do you think about RainbowKun being tied to the alt farm now?

I haven't been to the forum recently, what am I missing?  Undecided Undecided

I saw the pharmacist's reply in Kingsden's article, and saw your thread, Mr. Ratimov, what did I do?  Grin Grin

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/my-dream-bitcointalk-forum-5356724

How did I become the object of your suspicion? I only registered for more than half a month. What have I done to violate the rules of the forum? How did I become a member of a farm? I don’t know why you have arranged many friends for me?

I read my historical posts, and I mentioned Kaggie, Rainbowkun, and Mr. Kxwhalexk. Ratimov. Because of this sentence, I became a suspect?

According to this logic, if I mentioned Osama bin Laden, is it the 9/11 incident in the United States, or does it have something to do with me?

Is it because of my immaturity that I think you are naive? I entered the forum as a novice, it was their activity that attracted me, and they are all members who are making rapid progress. Excellent people are always so eye-catching.

I'm sorry that I am not so good yet, and I have caught your attention. Whether I am a novice or not, I want to tell you ---no no no, please stop doubting me.

I read your thread carefully. You are good at analyzing but not exaggerating。 This is a method, but not the truth.
