A player was overpaid 15 BTC. Anonibet took full blame for the mistake. They even went so far as to say that the player wasn't a cheat. I don't remember the exact wording but it had the same meaning. The player did pay back anonibet. Anonibet had an outage. Every player that emailed anonibet received .1 BTC for the down time. Anonibet opened in 2011 and has a maximum withdrawal of 500 BTC.

Last time I checked the maximum withdrawal limit on Anonibet was 500 mBTC, 0.5 BTC that is.

I'd also like to add that the recent allegations does not look good, at all. Until I see some acceptable explanations I'll move my betting business elsewhere.

"Last time I checked the maximum withdrawal limit on Anonibet was 500 mBTC, 0.5 BTC that is."

No, the site states:

"Are there any minimum or maximum limits for depositing and withdrawing?

Minimum deposit amount is 0.001 BTC or 1 mBTC. The maximum amount you can withdraw from your Anonibet account is 500 BTC for a 24 hour period."

https://www.anonibet.com/default.aspx

The same FAQ still states that there is a 5% charge for withdrawing without giving a one time rollover (betting all funds deposited at least once).
This is inexcusable, given that there is no cost to anonibet for either accepting a deposit or sending out a withdrawal.

"After I made a deposit, can I withdraw my funds without placing any bets?

Clients are required to wager the whole amount that was deposited, before any withdrawal request. If you want to withdraw funds without making a wager a 5% handling fee is charged."

anonibet still did not explain how come the contest winner is a regular customer when he has a facebook page since 2011 with anonibet address in the contact info... if they disqualify their employees from the contest me and other real customers should win 20btc!!

also there are claims in anonibet thread that they also cheated in their 2 btc meme contest... they changed the rules after the contest was already over and did not award the winnings to the person who was supposed to win it based on the rules that were announced before the contest... that's now a total scam of 22 btc!!! https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=588961554552303&id=139078896207240

SBOBitcoin.com's Live Chat is back online. All seems fine. It was probably the typhoon that caused them to be offline.

I put in a payout request, took them about 10 hours to get back with me saying it would be processed within four hours. Gave me some vague reason for the delay. I got a little concerned that they hadn't gotten back with me sooner but a typhoon would obviously slow things down.

In any case, I'm not going to complain about getting a big payout in less than 15 hours, still much cheaper and much faster than Bookmaker or 5Dimes.

"I put in a payout request, took them about 10 hours to get back with me saying it would be processed within four hours. Gave me some vague reason for the delay."

This is disturbing. If it was caused by a typhoon, I'd expect them to state that clearly and not give a vague reason for a cashout delay of 4 hours.

A few weeks ago I was told that my cashout could take a few hours, as they needed to get more coins out of cold storage.
It should not take a few hours to get coins out of cold storage.
I ended up getting paid within 30 or 60 minutes as I recall.

But the question remains why they were stating that it could be hours for me to get paid.
And now the delay in your case.
Withdrawals have previously  always  been rapid in my experience, I've used them quite a bit.
They are agents - they should be able to withdraw the funds from our sportsbook accounts and get them to us rapidly.

Is it just coincidence that both of us were told it would be hours to be paid?

I have no idea, but anything out of the ordinary with any btc book is a warning to exercise extreme caution.

One/two man shops never make it when they take an extended period of time without expansion. Bit365, Stakebet and Bitbook are examples.

Most of the bitcoin books start off as a one or two man shop but they expand with success. This is not happening with DirectBet.

Peeps Place - "DirectBet... Bets can be held in limbo for an hour before you know if you have a bet or not."

I've never found this to be the case. I always use "Firm Odds".
As soon as the bet arrives there, it takes about a minute or less to find out if it's accepted in my experience - just keep refreshing the page.
If the line has moved, I find the bet back in my wallet fairly quickly.

As far as being a one man shop and the owner having no bookmaking experience - you'd stated that you are guessing.

Even if it's true - there are plenty of people with lots of bookmaking experience who have stiffed, whether one man shops or staffed with many - Aces Gold, Bet Cascade's Lenny, Islands, WSEX's Steve and Jay, etc., etc., etc.

I don't see how either of those items if true (one man shop; no bookmaking experience) are issues unless they're leading to problems and I see no problems relating to those 2 items coming from DirectBet.

Firm odds were delayed by 7 minutes with me. There were a few other players that have also had delays. When I asked DirectBet, he admitted that the delay could be until just prior to the conclusion of the game. If there is a delay with your wallet, the blockchain or DirectBet's wallet, the bet is open and you can't cancel it if you use firm odds.

There have been rumors of cheating by Anonibet in their contest so I read the whole thread and did some research. joeland won 10 BTC by winning the contest. He joined bitcointalk on 4/26 and then made his first post on 6/8. The post was in regards to Webetcoins. On 6/27 joelad made posts concerning the contest with Anonibet. If there was cheating going on then why would the winner of the contest be legit?

i think contest winners are anonibet employees... but i could only prove one... read my story... anonibet over reaction and silence made it clear... they tried to get rid of evidence...

Anonibet cheated me in their world cup contest!!!

They participated in their own contest to keep the money for themselves!!!

AAAAARARRRRRRGGGGG!!! I feel soooo dumb... should have known better!

opened a new account to participate in their contest. NO WAAY I play there other wise... their odds are very bad but I figured with the extra $$$ from the contest it could worth it... placed many bets for a few days and earned 65 points... at that time first place had only 9 points...

As soon as I posted my bets here something very weird happened... all of a sudden two completely newbies who just opened their bitcoin talk accounts came in and posted tons of BIG bets, just enough to beat me.

I suspected it was Anonibet participating in their own contest but had no way to prove figured I have no chance beating them so I stopped... cost me 0.55 BTC trying!!!

...then I came across the profile of one of the winners...

UPDATE :  immediately after my post anonitips facebook page was deleted, then when I showed a cached version on google they put the facebook page back up but removed all links to anonibet.com from the contact info... mmm... clearly an over reaction, trying to get rid of evidence... that's what u do when u have something to hide...

luckily, google has the original facebook page cached with anonibet.com address in the contact info :

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:9rf8ywtQbEEJ:www.facebook.com/pages/AnoniTips/547383592049788+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk

anonibet claims the winner is just a regular customer and did not want to explain how come he has a facebook page since 2011 with their address in the contact info.

what do you think?

If a book is recommended, a lot of research will be done to help ensure the reputation of peepsplace.com. Here is another thing about Anonibet.

Does anyone know where is the SBOBitcoin live chat?
It was on the homepage. I just looked and it's not there now. http://sbobitcoin.com/

This is a serious issue. I'm surprised you aren't issuing a warning, at least until they reappear.

I also checked their Skype. They were always available there 24/7. They are offline on Skype as well.

I wasn't aware of a hurricane in the Philippines. They  should still be able to send out emails to their customers notifying them of the situation, but I've received nothing.

I suggest putting up a prominent warning, telling people not to deposit until they resurface on their Live Chat and Skype.

I just did a search. The person who mentioned the hurricane - or in this case typhoon - is correct.
This is likely the reason they are offline.
I would still advise people not to deposit until they are back live. If they are not in their office, a btc deposit won't be processed.

"The typhoon has left at least 20 people dead and has forced financial markets, offices and schools to shut down in Manila, according to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Philippines."

There are people who rate Bitcoin Sportbooks, and there are people who rate the people that rate Bitcoin Sportbooks.

73% think that Peeps Place does not have the creditability to rate Bitcoin Sportbooks because he is getting paid by Anonibet to rate them on top regardless of public opinion.

What do you think ?
