Much below the ETH value against BTC. Of course, the market only determines supply demand.
With $3000 to invest, is there any advantages to either, with the expectations/hopes that they both will continue to grow? Just trying to see what others would do, as I plan to let this initial investment sit for 5yrs minimum in a cold wallet.

I will suggest,you will go for 5 eth and rest amount put in the bitcoin.
1 Bitcoin currently because I believe there will still be alot of forks. But 10 ethereum 10 years from now
10 ETH because of the chance to use it as for token airdrop.
As simple as possible go for bitcoin its so obvious that 1 bitcoin is so much worth in 10 ethereum and sometimes you can earn of bucks by holding in chosen exchanger of forks
They both will grow but bitcoin will be more profitable than ethereum. I would invest in bitcoins if I have $3000 to invest and there are many speculations that bitcoin will reach $50k in next five years. Ethereum is very stable and it is currently being used as an currency. If you are not sure about bitcoins future then diversify your invest.
if i may, i will choose 1BTC. because, with 1BTC I can use it to buy other coins including ethereum.

To take advantage bit by bit, I think Ethereum is the right choice. However, if we want to be more comfortable in longterm investing bitcoin certainly. Therefore, bitcoin seen from the graph history is always uphill.
I think we need to split it in half. If both the target Ethereum falls and you take it from the bottom, it means that it is already rising in Bitcoin. My logic is working like this.

10 etherium is only equivalent to 0.486998 btc and that is only 7250.80 dollars but 1 bitcoin is equivalent to 14888.76 dollars therfor id still go in 1 bitcoin because i can earn much more profit in it. bitcoin is also suitable for long or short term of investment. however etherium is much stable and will guarantee you a more stable income when compared to bitcoin.
for the short term may be bitcoin but for the long term definitely select ETH dong easier and transparent.
bitcoin is also good in both shorter or longer term of investment because as you can see the price of bitcoin is still rising more and more as the time goes. bitcoin has also made a good gains ever since it was introduced to the public around 2009.
but overall both coins are still needed not only on investment but also on some other usage like for example etherium can be used when trading and bitcoin can be used in buying or sending money.

I would choose 1 btc, since 1 btc is equivalent to 25 ETH. so with 1 btc you can buy a lot of good altcoin and can multiply even more in the future. you have to do that in order to get the advantage.
Both options will always be a safe heaven for conservative investors, because in a market so full of shitcoins created with the sole purpose of speculating and making money, bitcoin and ethereum have proven to be sustainable projects in the long term and with an international recognition. Perhaps ethereum still has more room to grow than bitcoin, but both options will always be profitable in the long term.
Without both of these coins cryptoworld is incomplete as compare to both obviously Bitcoin is leading and by etherum you can grow more income to make income equal to Bitcoin.
If would choose an other altcoin instead of eth , bitcoin will have first movers advantage in the next couple of years so if you have to choose i would choose btc.

For sure anyone you choose you earn profit because bitcoin and ethereum the progress is good nd for sure it will increase more. But if you want to make more profit I think you choose ethereum because the price of the ethereum is cheap so it's not hard to double the price unless to bitcoin because of high price it's hard to double the price so your money will not double fastly. But both coin is good to invest.

10 is greater than 1 obviously. But then again, 1 BTC is worth a lot..
I prefer 10 ETH, much more steady than boss baby(BTC) and can invest in it peacefully, causing less BP compare to BTC.
