Hi i want to know if it still worth to MINE? I want to buy one. Which coin is the best to mine with the 1080Ti right now??

I just started mining with 3 x 1080ti since a few hours and my hashrate is around 2300h/s. Total power consumption of the rig is around 500Wh.

I followed this guide https://steemkr.com/bitcoin/@draiden/getting-started-with-mining-electroneum-using-a-gpu-nvidia and using standard settings. Still very novice, so didn't start tuning. I'm curious if better hashrates can be obtained.

How much are you guys currently getting with the 1080ti ?

Don't mine Electroneum. It's a Cryptonight algo, which is great on AMD but NOT on nVidia. You can mine skein, skunk, groestl, lyra2rev2 or lyra2z algos quite well.

Thanks mate! Any particular coin that you would recommend?

the guy is a clueless moron obviously. True Cryptonight is not the easiest algo for 1080Ti but if the price is high it can be the obvious coin to mine.

So, rather than mining a coin with good profits and efficiency on an algo that works well on our cards, you prefer to mine an algo that sucks on nVidia with bad miners and thus poor efficiency.... and yet *I* am the clueless moron?

Sure thing bud, whatever you need to tell yourself as you cry yourself to sleep at night.

read again kiddo (can you ?) I wrote "If the price is high"

Stop spreading your ignorance

My computer suddenly started to power off after about two hours of mining. Start back up it works ok for a couple hours then same thing.

I've dialed back the core to zero and memory is at -400.  TDP is at 60 on one card 80 on the other.  Temps are fine.  Ccminer mining zcoin.

Power supply or motherboard most likely?  Seasonic platinum 850w. Motherboard is a msi tomahawk b350. The two 1080ti are not in sli.

I'm planning on adding an extra Gigabyte 1080 ti card in my system. This will give me 2 Gigabyte 1080 ti cards, with one free slot between them.

Anyone having experience in running 2 1080 ti cards with only one slot space between them in a closed case? I'm a bit worried about the higher temps and the increased fan speed/noise this will give.

I have a Be Quiet Silent Base 600 case. There will also be one slot of free space between the bottom card and the PSU. I could fit an aurus card in the bottom slot, but the card would be very close to the PSU..

There's a lot of difference in cases, a lot will depend on your case. I used to have 4 980ti's (reference) without any gap but I strapped a huge fan straight to the GPU's + a huge intake fan. I was able to keep them cool even at 110% power with the case closed.

Either remove the side panel or install a fan near the GPUs. You need to blow all that hot air out of there, and custom cards vent into the case (unlike the FE which blow out the back)

Electricity is 0.07 USD / Kwh. Mining nist5 with ccmineralexis78 ( from nemosminer.zip) at 191 MH/s with 2x1080ti with intensity 24. mining at ahashpool.com.

I'm guessing you're at 100% TDP?

So I'm following the advice and getting in onto Bulwark. So far I see the only major exchange that has it is Cryptopia.

Which pool you choose ?

Ahashpool.

Thanks Smiley
Good pool from past experience

why everyone's talking about etn and zcoin if bulwark(nist5), smartcash(keccak) and gobyte(neoscrypt) are much more profitable after nicehash crash?
dude seriously...nicehash crash was a dream coming true and you had to ruin it for me Grin

Me too, thought it was my hidden secret that nobody knew about. How wrong could I have been.

I am sort of glad nicehash is gone as it leaves room for hobby miners to make a little bit of profit back again

nah, the smart guys (ones who werent using nicehash to BEGIN with) knew about those coins Cheesy
Nicehash was a dream crashing, its a shame they took peoples money WITH them :/
BWK and smart are killing it lately, im dumping while i can, BWK has no real purpose (except to make us miners $$$? Cheesy )

How many BWK are you getting right now /day /1080ti? 2?

Depends if you want to hold or just auto exchange to BTC... If auto exchange I recommend skein or Lyra2v2 on Hashrefinery. If mine and hold, I suggest ZCoin, Vertcoin.
