Switched over to zcoin and am back to square one with getting the best settings.  Already blew up the computer overnight when the miner went down on me.  Obviously copying someone else's settings is only going to get you so far.  Cheesy

Currently am running ccminer 2.2.2 (tpruvot) from the official page here.  Getting about 6050 kH/s with two 1080ti.

Is this the best option for the miner software or are there better clients suited to our GPU and lyra2z?

Use the djm cuda 9 version. You can set your TDP to 65 and mem to -501, boost core by about +100. Make sure you set intensity to 21 in the miner and you should get about 3300 per 1080Ti at a nice low power usage.

Hi i want to know if it still worth to MINE? I want to buy one. Which coin is the best to mine with the 1080Ti right now??

I just started mining with 3 x 1080ti since a few hours and my hashrate is around 2300h/s. Total power consumption of the rig is around 500Wh.

I followed this guide https://steemkr.com/bitcoin/@draiden/getting-started-with-mining-electroneum-using-a-gpu-nvidia and using standard settings. Still very novice, so didn't start tuning. I'm curious if better hashrates can be obtained.

How much are you guys currently getting with the 1080ti ?

How this can help? I don't understand. In the end you will have the exact same driver from install package that you had before

Guys, I have 2 rigs with 1080ti's and 1070s
Both with AMD ryzen and 2 different motherboards, running windows 10 pro

I'm using CC miner to mine Zcoin and Monacoin but both rigs restarts at least twice a day and I have to start the miner again

Anyone have the same problem with cc miner and 1080ti?

The error is nvlddmkm.sys
And also the CC miner, no matter wich version sometimes crash the cards when I close

Thanks

I had this problem when I first got into mining, but I can't remember what I did to fix it.  I seem to remember it having to do with a software conflict though.  Do you have any Logitech software installed?

Below I post a link to an article how to FIX an Nvlddmkm.sys Error Message. It will require you to copy one file to C:\ system partition and use CMD to instal a new instance. Have a look at this article for detailed instruction:

Did you look at your power usage at the wall? If you use more than 80% of you PSU’s max power it will power it off.

On my system mining zcash with dstm that error happens due to an unstable clock speed and tdp setting. The driver crashes. Sometimes it will blue screen and reboot.

Does the PC cleanly restart? If yes you could run the miner on startup. Every time it resets at least it self recovers.

I also have 2 rigs with auto reboot issue and it works for me.

Maybe power I had the same problem with mine and even though I was running a 1000w PSU turned out it was not in a healthy state.
Either that or your risers if you use them how are they powered?

25 BTC per block instead of 50. In theory the VTC price should double, but since people are already mining VTC because of this , it may not reach USD$16.00
There is no such "theory". Price can drop or rise - it has no connection with halving.

that was both a clueless and stupid comment, well done !

Apologies for this being slightly off topic but I'm trying to install a 2nd 1080Ti into my system and it's not working!

I'm getting 'The device cannot find enough free resources that it can use (Code 12).

I've got:-
ASRock H81 Pro BTC motherboard
4Gb RAM
2 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080Ti
Windows 10

(1st card connected to 16x slot directly on motherboard, 2nd via pcie riser)

I did a quick search on Google and it was saying to change the TOLUD setting to 3.5G but I can't find that anywhere in my bios. If I disable the first card and reboot then the second one works fine and vice versa. I set the PCIE to Gen1 whatever that means too.

Anybody got any ideas please?

I've managed to sort it. I downgraded windows 10 to 1703 from 1709 and added some hack entry into the registry. Now working like a charm. :-)

I'm still on Zen at the moment but might switch soon after reading this thread

its something newbs tend to think yes Cheesy
-masternodes = profit  , noob thought, depends on many factors
- 1/2'ing = profit, noob thought, depends on many factors
-fork = free money, new coins. noob thought, they are usually scams/mistakes that followed thru on taking newbs money

Why does temp limit come down as you lower TDP limit in afterburner?  If you lower TDP the card should run cooler so I don't understand why it should pull the temp limit down with it.

just unlink them by clicking on the "chain link" on the left of those settings
