Personally I prefer to create portfolio from kinds of altcoins. Ethereum entered to my portfolio. But in NEO I don't believe. Because I think that it is too centralized and as a consequence, there are problems with synchronization.

Surely I better have 2 Ethereum coins than have 15 NEO coins. Having 2 Ethereum alone if held until the year 2020 will surely be a very high price. I know NEO also has a good development but I think Ethereum could be much nicer. Is is better to hold 2 Ethereum or 15 NEO till 2020?

NEO is quite a promising coin, but I like ETH more, because its platform is 95% ICO, it should affect the price of the coin itself.
Two units of ETH is much better than 15 units of NEO when it was asked to me. I always engage with ETH and its amazing smart contracts. I don't like projects that are copying ETH's feautes, such as EOS and NEO.
For comparison between NEO and ETH, if you define long-term investment within 2 years, then it is best to invest 2 ETH and then hold until 2020. Because NEO is currently suffering a great deal From the Chinese government, while ETH is not influenced by any government in any country, long-term investment in ETH is perfectly reasonable.
I read that NEO has several drawbacks in technical aspect. I would rather invest in Ethereum.

Both coins are very promising. I think that NEO has more chances to grow several times. ETH has grown strongly in 2017 and this it will not repeat.
I think both of ethereum and neo are great altcoins.
But in my opinion, neo has a better growing potential, because I think it is still couldn't show its real power.

My sympathy with Ethereum is growing day by day. I think a project that constitutes the substructure of hundreds of projects will come at much better prices. Is is better to hold 2 Ethereum or 15 NEO till 2020?

As for me i would rather hold 15NEO than to hold 2ETH. Though the market is still favoring Ethereum but i can see more potentials in NEO and i believe that it will grow in no distance time to take the lead with it contemporaries. For long term hold i prefer NEO to ETH.
The main problem with Ethereum is its speed. It is a little slow than all other coins in increasing and decreasing. Volatility is what really matters here. The more fluctuation a coin shows, the more profit it can yield. Now ETH is like an old man who likes to takes thing very slowly. But this is the most trustworthy coin among altcoins. I would also go with holding 15 NEO or maybe I will choose diversification. 
My vote is for 15 Neo. Because I believe the price difference between these two coins will be closer in the future. Ethereum is more expensive because it is older and it has more reputation. Neo ecosystem is growing each day son price increase in Neo will be higher than Ethereum soon
for the long term I am more entrusting 2 ethereum than neo, for the classical reason ethereum will still continue to be one good and potent coin compared to the neo that is not yet believed to be a stable coin.
Nothing can compare with what ethereum has to prove, because its a well developed cryptocurrency compared with neo. But many people still believed that one day neo will also grab its profitable price. In the first place both of these two coins can be a good holdings and this can be a great asset.
Ethereum has potential to increase its value but under bear market conditions it is impoissble to break 1000$ level. The team behind the project should stick to rules stated on whitepaper for both NEO and Ethereum. Neo looks like more promising than ethereum for long term investing. May be 1 eth and 8 neo is good 
i can say neo for long term due to present developments Neo can be Chinese next ether as per their new blockchain based smart contracts we can see more coins coming in

I would suggest both. 1 ethereum and 8 NEO. As this will mitigate the risk of losing more. Both have a strong foundation, strong development team, and strong community. But NEO has more room for growth than Ethereum who already at a steady pace of growth.
