I think it's better to invest in both coins, the more you plan to hold them on the long-term. Firstable, it is minimization of risks, what promising would be NEO and Ether will be insured. For me, I will prefer to hold both as the have potentials to yield profit and they are both stable, holding on a long term will yield huge profit for me as the market value rises. If asked to pick one, I will go for ethereum as it is more reliable, stable and safe
Yes i also prefer to have both because its very good potential coins. I also will Eos and Ada to fill my portofolio.Etherium is the best altcoin so far but only have 1 type of altcoin is not good idea. So diversify is always good choice to avoid risk.

I don't agree with you and I think what the OP ought to do is to split the money into 3 places since the investment will last till 2020 and bitcoin halving will happen on 26 May 2020. Therefore, it will be If the OP buy bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO.

I think that Neo in the long run is a good choice. Neo is China's block chain and China is an active player in the world of crypto-currencies. Perhaps in 2019 China will be more loyal to the cryptomir and Neo will then show itself.
