In regards to Etherium I think the switch to becoming Proof of Stake (PoS) from (PoW) will see the price shoot up. With some awesome marketing this could really capture the greener market. Go Etherium!
2017 was a year of maturity and popularity for bitcoin , may be 2018 will be positive and good for altcoin, that is yet to be seen. There has been a positive trend for altcoin in general for this year. Ethereum seem to be the first altcoin that will stand on it's own without having to derive any value from bitcoin.
I have great expectations about the strengthening of altcoins in 2018. I hope this year will be even more new ICO than in 2017, as well as old projects will actively develop.

Yes the altcoins in the industry right now have very great potential and this is their year, I believe that they will be more stable this year, they are stable at the moment but they are not on their peak value in the market right now, in short , in comparison to bitcoin, altcoins is more stable at the moment. Yes this year is the best altcoins year. That is because the bitcoin's market value continues to decrease and by that decrease the altcoins have their way to be stable in the market right now but they are not on their peak values at the moment, they are just more stable compared to bitcoin that is why this is a great year to invest in the best altcoins of 2018. Yes you are correct all hopes are on this altcoins and very high expectation from them. aside from the volatility properties we are looking for more to come out of altcoins more than 2017 positively.
I dont think so because altcoins already had all power and crush btc raising.Now is time for btc . It should be more and more powerful

I think 2018 is good year for all of digital coins and any other related with them, bitcoin is like goes more expensive in middle 2018 and the most famous in digital coins are the projects of ICOs, many new investors whom interested in ICOs and bitcoin and right now the price of digital coins is down, it is just correction of price before all of the price digital coins to be more expensive in 2018.
So far it's a good year only for the good ICO"s in my opinion. There are severals ICO's running now with great chance to have an impact into the crypto space and one of them is ELLCRYS.
Yes, 2018 will be a good year for many altcoins especially for those who had ICOs in the year 2017 because most of them must release a working product somewhere in 2018. In short 2017 was whitepaper era and 2018 is project era. Once we see the real products of these ICO people would get attracted to invest in these taking early investors to the moon.
I have now noticed a certain growth, but insignificant. But falling coins are more active. We need to wait and grow upside down.
Yeah as others have said, right now 2018 haven't been that great for atlcoins but I'm confident that from here on we will see a big rise and eventually a new all high market with over a trillion marketcap.

I think Ethereum, Dash, and Bitcoin Cash will follow similar trends to Bitcoin in 2017. I think Litecoin and Monero will follow the path of the ETH, DASH, BCH in 2017. The coins like Ripple, Cardano, and Stellar will probably get to the $5-$10 range. That's just my guesstimate on things after the big correction in prices.
