I'm a fan of Heat, but I would agree that both Butler and Lowry performed very poorly (because of the injuries), and that's why they are now behind the series and they give Boston a lot of chance to steal this series and go to the finals. I'm conceding that with the way they show in their homecourt and lost this big, it might be over for them mentally.

The NBA has to do something about its one day to travel in between games. I mean I can only imagine how fagged out both teams would have been. There's so many injuries and little time to rest and recover from them. Personally, I have been watching Kyle Lowry all through this season and what I can say is that aside from his injuries it seems he his going through a lot. He's been off  for a large part of the season.

As it's something new, they are doing that ever since so they already know it's not the main reason for injuries. One day travel is enough to rest, and of course, we fans would want to see action everyday so we will always support that.

How about Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics later. This series is kinda unpredictable and I could not tell if the Heat do have the upper hand at their home. Boston stole one from them and it could happen again.
I may just watch the game and forget about betting.

It's pretty hard to predict who will win Game 5, even though the bookmakers think the Celtics are the favorites tonight. In addition, there is already an injury update, and the Celtics said that Smart and Williams will play, while the Heat said that Herro is out tonight. However, I think the Heat will have a chance to beat the Celtics if they can defend as they did in Game 3.

I think the bookies is right this time, game 5 was won by the Celtics.

Both Robert Williams and Marcus Smart played although limited minutes, but they have contributed big with their defense.

Unfortunately the Heat, don't have the players to score in this game, Bam did his share, but maybe Butler is still nursing that injury and not 100%.

Butler has been clearly bothered by his injury, he was all buckets all series from this playoffs then suddenly became a hot trash from the last 2 games after his injury. He went 7/37 fg from game 4 and 5. Kyle Lowry was a hot trash too. With them being inconsistent, we really can't expect them to win against the Celtics who's been playing great with all their heart to reach the Finals. Celtics are on a mission this playoffs, If the Heat won't find a way to fix their system offensively, game 6 might be their last game for the playoffs.

They cannot easily correct their mistake, this game was already taken by the Celtics because they have lots of players that could step up. Horford is really huge for the team, he was helping on the defense and offense so Tatum and Brown are not forced to make the shots. Marcus Smart has a little contribution only, but having him playing with the team is his biggest contribution due to the energy he could bring.

Robert Williams III may have been the largest impact of all. Ever since he got back the Celtics keep on winning their games. This big guy needs to keep himself healthy until the Finals (if ever they will defeat the Miami Heat) or else they might be in trouble again.
It's not his offense that is needed but merely being frightening to deal with in protecting the paint. Even Butler cannot force his way anymore unlike their other games where he was not there. Adebayo's offense was also cut by a lot because of him.
Miami Heat is in trouble looking for their offensive guy. Time for Butler to step up his game once more and tie this series.

My main concern is not him but his supporting cast. I know these guys are not at a superstar or all-star level but in times like this, they really need to show their best aggressively. It will be a great appreciation if they will be able to give the Warriors a close fight in the series.

Well, these players who are either undrafted or picked at the lower spot of the draft surprised everybody by defeating the top seeded Suns team who most of the analysts will be the champion this season. Maybe they need to reshuffle the team again in the off-season and pick some better players.

On the other hand, I agree with you that these players aren't enough to help Luka or at least help him in the playoffs to the point that they are a championship caliber team. Right now, if you want to get a title, your team must have at least 2 all superstar players, and we can see it base on the past champions in every season. I want this series to be a close one like the Suns-Mavericks, but it seems like that Game 3 win said it all already because it would be a different scenario if it ended up being 2-1 and being 3-0.

While I agree that the it's more like coin flip bet to pick a side here, I'd say over the course of the 4 games played so far, the Celtics have been the better side, neither of the game they won have been convincing enough for to me to believe that those wins weren't just fluke, they win won the games by playing very well in just one or two quarters, down the stretch you'll need more than just two quarters to win a game.

Unfortunately for Heat, Herro would have been a great addition to count on because of how awful they were offensively in game 4, and there's no news about Gabe Vincent as well, but I think he'll probably be available, my only surprise is why Duncan Robinson who's also a great shooter and offensive player hasn't been getting more minutes despite several injury worries for the Heat.

Steve Kerr almost calls it a game because of 99-70 behind entering the 4th Quarter. But his bench squad managed to cut it by 8 points haha.

I don't know if Kerr will put back his main starters lol. The Warriors outscored the Mavericks by 32-13 with 3 minutes left in the final quarter.

What a rally from the Warriors bench lol. This is the problem of the Mavericks since the beginning of this series. I'm expecting lots of criticism later after the game even if the Mavericks will win this game.

EDIT: 119-109 Mavericks
Mavericks pulled off 1 win, I think the series ends in game 5. GSW will close it out at home. Luka is a good player, but he is a ball hog and needs a couple more years to mature.

Honestly, there's no problem about Luka being ball-hog or slow. That's the usual him and it's effective for the team. We can take a look at all of his attempted assists regardless of whether it's nailed or not by his teammates and that will show that he is not really a ball hog literally.

My main concern is not him but his supporting cast. I know these guys are not at a superstar or all-star level but in times like this, they really need to show their best aggressively. It will be a great appreciation if they will be able to give the Warriors a close fight in the series.

It was clear enough though that the Warriors was just toying the Mavericks game earlier because they want to eliminate the latter in the next game at their homecourt, even the Dallas fans sure knows that because even the bench players of Warriors have cut that big lead like Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga, they even made double digit score with that window.
I said something similar during the Warriors vs Grizz series but this game is different. They still tried to win in the final minutes when the bench unexpectedly cut the lead to a single digit. It was just a bad night overall and it happens to all teams.

Dallas Mavericks managed to win a game finally last night. It was a decent win by a ten-point gap too. They really needed this to start recovering and pull themselves together. Doncic's performance was impressive as usual. Now we see that the series is 3-1. Warriors are still in a very comfortable position though but this win can still play a big role in Mavericks' continuing to win too. They might win one or two more wins at least too even if they lose the series against Warriors. Because I don't see Mavericks having much chance to advance now.

That was a nasty reason for losing that game. Warriors ain't like that. They just become relaxed because no pressure at all even if they lose the game. If they are toying with the Warriors, why it's just in the 4th Quarter that all bench squad plays the game where in fact they are behind the whole game.

Dallas Mavericks won that game not because the Warriors are toying with them. Let's give credit to what Mavericks did in Game 4. It's now clear that the Warriors' young players can do the best performance if no one from the main starters will limit them. If Curry is there, they have to make way for Curry to shoot the ball instead of doing their own offense.

If it's really true that the Warriors give that game to Mavericks, then I hope something miraculous will happen and they will lose. That is disrespectful to the young players of the Mavericks who are trying their best to win against the most monster team left in the playoffs right now.

No team gives games away in a chance to go to the finals.  The reason is Dallas was against the wall and Warriors relaxed to much.  But they didn't give the game away so they can try to win it back home.  If Warriors lose game 5, then what they face a ge 6 on the road against a hungry mavs team.  Mavs just flat outplayed and oitgustled them.

Mavs needs more players who can help Luka, Brunson and Dinwiddie are not consistent in terms of lift that Luka needs.

Another star or a great set of role players who can bring more help in both ways.
look how the Warriors are playing right now, whoever coach Kerr is bringing inside
the player is making sure that he will add something that will be felt by the team,
they are all dedicated according to the role the coach calls them to help.

I disagree with you about Brunson. He is consistent since the beginning as a good role player even when the Mavericks lose a game. Dinwiddie is the one who is not consistent. He always feels nervous from what I noticed. He just feels confident when they are up by big points. But in a close game, I never saw him doing some effort to give his best.

Dallas Mavericks are no need for another star or another role player. It's just that Golden State Warriors is a difficult and tough team to beat. Who are the current players there? Mostly part of their championship season guiding their young cores.

I am guessing that Kerr just didn't care about this game all that much. Between his father being killed by a gunman in a school, and him being just near a school shooting all over again, and seeing how reacted to it on the interview, we know that he cared about this too much to really care for this game.

Not saying that he throw the game away, he just didn't care about this game because he knew that there was a more important thing going on in that situation. They were 3-0 up anyway, 3-1 means nothing, they still have 3 more tries to win and I am pretty sure that they will win the next game and will not care about the situation and just win that and move on.

It's too obvious from Coach Kerr, that is a give away. Their bench is paved a way to make it a close match and he could've called Curry and Klay as early as they could but it's like there's a lag before he did it. It doesn't matter, the Warriors will definitely win this in game 5.

I was a bit surprised that the Warriors didn't close out the Mavericks yesterday, but maybe they wanted some more ad revenue or something...  Even watching the game it didn't make sense they were losing.  It was like they weren't really trying.

I think Miami is done.  They got a couple of wins that I would characterize as getting some good breaks.  Marcus Smart and Al Horford have had enough time to get back to being near 100% healthy.  I'm going with Boston tonight.
