Regardless of what team will win the Eastern Conference Finals, I can't imagine how can they match the dominance of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. From starters to the bench, all are contributing well. Klay Thompson is not even always on-fire. In the whole playoffs series, it's only 2 times when he passed 20+ points and 3 times for 30+ points on which the last one is against the Dallas Mavericks where he put 32 points. What I mean here is, that he is consistent at around 15-18PPG this playoff and they are already dominant. What if he will get on his usual average.

Golden State Warriors currently have a @1.6 to win the championship. That was a good odds for me and already placed my bet. Maybe odds for them will slightly move depends on the tonight's game result.

Nothing will happen to them if they do the same strategy because that style has been expose very well by Celtics si they need certain adjustment just to make the fire keep burning on them and heating up their passion yo win their next game. Next game is no room or them to get a mistake since if they still encounter such unfortunate incidents then might we will see Celtics truly advance to the finals.

The good thing with the Celtics is that, if Tatum will struggle, there are other players that will step up, but when Butler will struggle, Heat's chance to win against the Celtics is almost zero. So since this is a do or die game for the Heat, they need to ensure that Butler will perform like an all star, he cannot be messing around on this possible last game.

Yes they have brown to step up and we see that for the past couple of games, also they have Smart which is totally can create good impact in terms of defense and offensive end. The problem with Heat is their second best scorer is out due to injury so most provably this create huge problem with them especially if Butler get a hard time on court and for sure their other roosters will also struggle for this. Lets just see if we can see heat bounce back since this will be more exciting if Heat can able to win this game.

I think players that are expected to help Jimmy is underperforming like Kyle Lowry or PJ Tucker or even Duncan Robinson. I remember Duncan being part of that team that help the Heat reaches the NBA finals in the bubble. But he is non existent as he fell out of the rotation. But since Herro is injured, he has somewhat played in the last 2 games but still he is not the same Duncan we've seen 2-3 years ago with confidence to shoot that 3's. But it's not over yet though, the Heat's chance are slim but for sure they will try to give everything in this game 6 to avoid a closed out.

The NBA management doesn't have to do anything because that's indeed a part of the game to travel to another territory to play and then wait again for their turn. I agree, it is not like this is something new in the league and they just don't have any choice either but to conquer it. Being in the playoffs is not easy because the intensity and fatigue really take some toll on the players, what more in the Finals that they will travel to the other side of the country just to meet and play with the hometeam.
That's two days rest if from West to East or vice versa, right? I forgot.
Regarding the travels, I think they know the hardship of that, and right, it's part of the game. That's why the fans will really help out if they can boost their players who just came from a long journey with jet lag or motion sickness.

Yes, that's right. It is a two complete days rest every game and that includes travel time if that certain team will go from East to West and vice versa. The same arrangement as it's still 2-2-1-1-1, but anyway, the NBA has already released a schedule regarding to the Finals this season.
https://www.nba.com/news/2022-nba-finals-schedule

These said teams have exactly no choice to travel because that's how these games are played, even if they're motion sick or some kind of jet lag, the NBA don't give a special treatment unless there's a very important matter to cause a certain game to delay.

So since this is a do or die game for the Heat, they need to ensure that Butler will perform like an all star, he cannot be messing around on this possible last game.

Coach Spo needs to adjust and create a system that will rotate the ball. It shouldn't be on Butler's shoulder. They need to work

side by side if they wanted to win this coming game 6, a hard task that can only happen if they come up strong from start to finish.

Butler should lead but not to try playing alone but instead, to allow his teammates to get involved, Lowry should also show confidence

in attacking and shooting the ball, he still has it. Just don't let Butler carry all the loads.

That was supposed to be their style, I don't know what happen that the offense now mostly focuses on Butler. His strategy would only work if Butler is not struggling, they already won 2 times in the series, so it's not over yet for them, however, as you said, if they will not make an adjustment, then there's no other day for them as they'll go fishing after game 6.

I think Golden State will finish this series so they can finally move on to the finals and that is looking like it will be the Celtics the way the Heat played in their last game.

I agree. It probably should have been Warriors vs Bucks, but the Middleton injury. I would’ve rather seen Warriors vs 76ers also, but the Embiid injury… That Boston team is a good one though and they’ve been through a lot together, so I’m not mad about it. I do think the Warriors will end up on top though, further cementing the legacy of that squad.

Yeah, the Warriors and Celtics will most likely face each other in the final series. Honestly, I would like to see the Heat in the final, but they are clearly not playing like champions, especially during the last couple of games. By the way, many other teams also had great potential to reach the final series, but the championship will be won by the least injured team as injuries are always the deciding factor in winning.

There's huge chances that Boston will win this seeing how Miami perform in their past games but I'm still not closing doors about possibilities that Heat will do comeback knowing if Butler and Bam perform well this will be dangerous for Celtics.

But I'm more into GSW and Celtics into finals because it will be fun watching Curry and Thompson competing with Tatum and Brown.

If only Heat had won game 5, then they have a chance to be in the NBA Finals. What happened is, Butler's good shooting percentage is gone, he still keeps shooting but his percenage is very low, therefore, if they will do the same strategy and Butler will still struggle, then most likely it will have the same result in game 5.

Agree to that.
They are having a hard time finding their offense in Game 5. 1st half was a good run and they ended it with a lead but the 2nd half is a big shift to the Celtics team. What could've happened in the locker room that made them change the way they play their game? Their defense got better and their offense was all in high accuracy. It must be the showers.  Cheesy
But that event tells Miami also gave them a good banging at the 1st half but could not convert it to a win. In short, a chance to win even at the TD Garden.

A chance that they shouldn't waste. Winning at home in front of your home crowd is something that every team wanted.

If the Boston will continue to keep rotating and finding the open man to make a shot,
it will be hard for Miami to answer back. The injuries really affecting how Miami is currently playing.
They need to more firepower if they want to survive and push this series in to game 7.

They are always doing the same strategy, their only problem is if their shots are not falling, but since they are playing at home, I expect that their shooting percentage will increase and that means their chance of finishing the Heat is very high. I'm just concerned about how healthy Butler going in this game, if he is not 100%, then most likely he will struggle again.

Celtics usually win in the first half, but game 5 was different because Heat won the 1st half, however, in the 2nd half, I'm surprised that Heat has no answer on the big run of the Celtics, looks like they are short in the rotation that they easily got tired, so how can they win in TD Garden?

By the way, Herro is questionable in game 6, hopefully, he'll play.

Warriors finished the series against Mavericks very early by 4-1. This was very unexpected to me because Mavericks should have been able to win twice or thrice at least. Their performance so far was indicating a result like that. Warriors are still very dominant even when the times Curry and Thompson don't play very impressively. But in this one, it was like Thompson's day. He got 32 points and had a huge role in finishing up the series. Now Warriors are waiting for their opponent in the finals. And it is likely to be Celtics for now.

More likely that would be the case since we saw how Butler's performance dramatically causes them to lose the game in game 5. But I would be happy to see game 7 with these two teams in the Eastern Conference final since these two have dominated the game this season, it's pointless that one of them will be eliminated just by an unexpected injury, and looks like Butler is really hurt compared to Tatum in game 4. Anyway, that's just the way it is, when it comes to physical games like this, we need to consider such things really happen and we cannot do something about it.

This is the first time Stephen Curry became an MVP in the post-season. And also the first time they have given the new award.
Our first Earvin "Magic" Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP - Steph Curry.
And the Oscar Robertson WCF Champions go to the Golden State Warriors. It's nice to see Shaun Livingston again presenting the award to his ex-teammates. He doesn't look like he aged even after retirement.  Cheesy

I bet the Mavericks will be doing some player hunting after this. They need to find exactly what they are missing to strengthen their roster.

Yeah, I was just thinking, if Iggy can win another ring without playing at the finals, then Shaun might be thinking of a comeback.  Grin

Nevertheless, it's good to see Curry carrying that WCF Finals MVP and then acknowledging the team and specially Klay who is out for almost 2 years and then comeback to go to the finals again.

Funny interview though when Klay said he wanted 10 triples in this game, "but whatever".  Smiley

I dont see Miami heat at all in the finals due to how bad they are playing against Boston. If Jimmy Butler dosent score or plays well o most for sure is that they will lose. Honestly i would like to see the final between Warriors and Celtics it will be intresting

Warriors vs Bucks might be a good one though, Giannis against Draymond. 76ers? nah, even if Joel is not injured, they would have a hard time against this East team.

Yes, if by chance the Warriors win the NBA finals again, Curry, Klay and Green's legacy are cemented and they as one of the dominant team in the last 10 years. Their numbers should be up at par with the great teams in the 2000's such as Lakers and the Spurs.
