Hi OP, I'm just a bit confused with the poll.

What do you mean by "finals poll coming"?
I just voted for fun although I don't understand, but would care to explain what's it all about?

My prediction will be GSW and Miami Heat in the finals but for the champion for this season I really think that it will be in GSW as they really prepared for this playoffs. They have healthy players and I see that Klay also really are at heat to win this playoffs with the help of Poole, Looney and Wigins I really think no one can stop their offense most of their game the opposing players have score advantage after halftime but after that they still managed to caught up and win the game.
We have the same prediction for this year Finals although this is not what I saw at the start of the season. I thought it was going to be Suns vs Bucks and yet here we are.
The Warriors simply has everything in their roster, it's not perfect but the combination and chemistry created made it look like it is.
Boston Celtics or Miami Heat, it won't matter for them, they have their eyes to be back in the championship and it may be unstoppable. It's not just the splash brothers but Andrew Wiggins constitency in defending superstars had been a big contribution. Back then, it was Iggy who accepted that role and he became an MVP.

A forced 7th game for Miami and Boston.

I also think that it will be GSW.

They've been off for the past seasons and it's now their time to shine again but that's also the same with Miami. Still, a lot of time for GSW to be in the right condition before they face the winner of the east.

Well, that's entertaining. High level of defense from the Miami Heat. I expected that, but not that good. I love to see more of this defense because the whoever wins this series will be against who does the same.
Respect for both team as the Boston Celtics also didn't give up until the end of the game.
Tucker is the key for the Heat win aside from the Jimmy Butler's best playoffs performance. Why did the Bucks ever let him go? He's good, his contribution may not be in the stat sheet but it can be seen how much of an impact he is.

The key thing that Warriors did was the fact that they have been basically a method of ball movement in the last 5 or so years and kept that going with Klay coming back. I mean Curry is a superstar, probably getting to that top 10 ever list soon, maybe in someone's top 10 already, but they do not just give the ball to him and let him score, they pass the ball around, and others score as well.

This is why it was so easy for them to beat Mavs who relied on Doncic a lot, even when Dinwiddie ended up helping so much, it was clear that they were not really doing anything that would contribute as a team. If Curry wins a ring again and he is FMVP again, I say he is top 10 of all time.

I'll stick with my prediction. Warriors Vs. Celtics in the NBA Finals Smiley.

Good luck, I do believe as well that's gonna happen.

Jimmy Butler cannot for sure duplicate his performance in game 7, so I like to expect that Boston will take advantage on that and they will improve their shooting. Butler vs Boston Celtics, no way it's gonna happen, and the spread itself is not convincing that Heat will win. After the game 6 win, they should be the favorite, but look at the betting lines now, they remained  the underdog.

Awesome win by the Miami Heat 111-103. They surely wrecked the majority of the bettors, especially on the handicap.

This surprised me too and even think that the Celtics will now close the series. We can see that it's only Jimmy Butler who saves the day. There's really no problem with him regarding consistency but the team will go nowhere if they will just rely on Butler although a great hassle plays courtesy of his teammates during the last minutes. That was an exhausting game for Butler but good thing they have won.

Sudden-death next game at the FTX Arena, home of the Miami Heat. We will now see who will enter the NBA Finals to face the Golden State Warriors.
When many fans and analysts are doubting about them, when they thought that this will be the last game in the Eastern Conference Finals already, when many thought that Butler can't carry the team anymore, he said to us "I will not let my team go down and we will win this game and will force a Game 7 on our home".

After that last 2 games, I thought that it is over for the Heat already but I'm wrong. Butler stepped up again and scored a career playoff-high 47 point almost triple double. Lowry and Strus helped Butler as well scoring 18 points and 13 points respectively even though they got fouled out.

That last call by the referee was very crucial if you watched the final minutes of the game. If only the referees called blocking foul on Oladipo, there might be a chance for the Celtics to win it but they called an offensive foul on Brown which is I think the correct call. Overall, good game for both teams and now we will see a do-or-die game on Miami's homecourt.

So what's going to be the bet in game 7? home team or road team?

I guess everyone was betting on the Celtics that's why the spread is very high, but in the game, it was a different Heat that we are seeing, they are playing with sense of urgency and they played the right defense in order to win. Butler was really special, he was doing everything to win and now we will see a game 7.

So what's going to be the bet in game 7? home team or road team?

He may have fouled out but kudos to Lowry's bounce back game and special mention to his game tying three when they trailed at 94-97 I thought the Heat would collapse before that shot. Tucker also deserves credit for his crucial defensive rebounds and steal on Tatum. And yes nobody could ignore that 47 points by Buttler. His buzzer beating two was also special.

..... I know the Warriors have to be happy about that.
There's no doubt about it. Their opponents are already banged up before they even start the Finals.

Jimmy Butler really carried the Heat to a win tonight. I think most people were expecting the Celtics to send the Heat home but then Butler decided to put up a 40+ piece. Smart had a bad game offensively and as a defender. Not a good time for the Celtics. I think he’s still not healthy. Only explanation for why he looked so bad out there. I guess we’ll see this one go another game. I know the Warriors have to be happy about that.

I'm waiting for Eastern Conference champion to update the poll for 2022 NBA Finals. Golden State Warriors is the first team to make it but we'll see if Boston or Miami will take other spot either today or two days later. Boston is trying to finish the job today at home but Miami score with high percentage. Jimmy Butler finally returned to his normal after injuries, it's normal as this is win or go home game. He can rest all Summer if they lose tonight. Tatum and Brown is doing good but all other Boston players are shooting awful. If Boston can't stop Butler and three pointers in last quarter we will see Game 7.

These said teams have exactly no choice to travel because that's how these games are played, even if they're motion sick or some kind of jet lag, the NBA don't give a special treatment unless there's a very important matter to cause a certain game to delay.

I don't understand why such a topic is being raised. It's already several decades with that system and teams are already used to it. Look at the Finals schedule too, they stick again with the 2-2-1-1-1 format instead of 2-3-1-1. With that format, the Warriors now have more big reasons to push for a win on Game 1 and 2 if they want to celebrate their championship for the first time in their arena with a new name, Chase Center.

And it's use to be 2-3-2 format and no one complains about that.

Going back the games right now, the Heat trying to stay with the Celtics up to the second quarter. So there is no blow game game this game 6 as this is crucial specially for the Heat because their season is on the line. Of course we wanted a game 7 as it will really go to the wire. But regardless of who is going to win in the East, Warriors will be the favorite again and it will be fitting to baptized their new arena with a NBA championship.

I was wrong about Mavericks as I thought like they would win two or three games in their series. They gave up on the series very earlier and Warriors became the champions of the Western Conference very easily by 4-1 in total. After seeing them play sharp against Suns before, my expectations were really high from Mavericks in this. But they didn't even get close to Warriors's level I'm afraid. I guess that many people weren't expecting Warriors to finish it this much dominant. I must add that I really liked Thompson in the game too.

They didn't give up but the Golden State Warriors just dominate them early. It's clear that the Warriors and Mavericks have a wide gap.

The Warriors are playing at a high level and I think they have a big chance to be the NBA champion this season. I can't see how teams in the East will deal with the Warriors. Their young guns are also contributing well and they deserved to taste their first NBA title experience.

Mavericks can come back anytime. They are still young. It's a good experience that they faced the championship lineup of the Warriors.

Lowry is underperforming since he's not 100% fit to compete. I think he was rushed to play again because the Heat needed more option. I don't remember Tucker to be that useful in offense but he could really help if he could grab more rebounds for second chance points. Both these players were listed as questionnable for game 6 along with Max Strus and Gabe Vincent. Really a slim chance to force a game seven.

I think all the Heat players are likely to play tonight except Herro. Even though this is a critical game for the Heat, they probably won't risk Herro's health because he's still uncomfortable due to his groin injury. So I guess the Heat might only rely on Bulter and Adebayo tonight, but it will obviously be a tough game for them as the Celtics have home-court advantage.

Regardless of what team will win the Eastern Conference Finals, I can't imagine how can they match the dominance of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. From starters to the bench, all are contributing well. Klay Thompson is not even always on-fire. In the whole playoffs series, it's only 2 times when he passed 20+ points and 3 times for 30+ points on which the last one is against the Dallas Mavericks where he put 32 points. What I mean here is, that he is consistent at around 15-18PPG this playoff and they are already dominant. What if he will get on his usual average.

Golden State Warriors currently have a @1.6 to win the championship. That was a good odds for me and already placed my bet. Maybe odds for them will slightly move depends on the tonight's game result.

I agree, the Warriors are too deep even for a good defensive team like Heat or the Celtics. If ever they will stop or lock in someone, lets say Klay, then they still have Step and then Jordan Poole and Wiggins to do the work. The Warriors also has a defensive stopper in Draymond and Looney is coming of age in their series against Dallas. He will be a perfect match against Big Al or Williams in the middle if they are going to face the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals. So it seems that the Warriors have cover everything up. Wiggins did a good job against Luka, so most likely he will be put to task against Tatum.

I think players that are expected to help Jimmy is underperforming like Kyle Lowry or PJ Tucker or even Duncan Robinson. I remember Duncan being part of that team that help the Heat reaches the NBA finals in the bubble. But he is non existent as he fell out of the rotation. But since Herro is injured, he has somewhat played in the last 2 games but still he is not the same Duncan we've seen 2-3 years ago with confidence to shoot that 3's. But it's not over yet though, the Heat's chance are slim but for sure they will try to give everything in this game 6 to avoid a closed out.
