I think Golden State will finish this series so they can finally move on to the finals and that is looking like it will be the Celtics the way the Heat played in their last game.

I agree. It probably should have been Warriors vs Bucks, but the Middleton injury. I would’ve rather seen Warriors vs 76ers also, but the Embiid injury… That Boston team is a good one though and they’ve been through a lot together, so I’m not mad about it. I do think the Warriors will end up on top though, further cementing the legacy of that squad.

Yeah, the Warriors and Celtics will most likely face each other in the final series. Honestly, I would like to see the Heat in the final, but they are clearly not playing like champions, especially during the last couple of games. By the way, many other teams also had great potential to reach the final series, but the championship will be won by the least injured team as injuries are always the deciding factor in winning.

The NBA has to do something about its one day to travel in between games. I mean I can only imagine how fagged out both teams would have been. There's so many injuries and little time to rest and recover from them.

That's non-sense and it will affect the league's original timeline and roadmap. Unfortunate injuries really happened and who else wants to be injured?

The NBA has nothing to do with it. The league has always followed that type of schedule since then and the only time teams are resting for a bit long is when transferring game venues like Game 2 to Game 3, Game 4 to Game 5, etc. based on the format.

Injuries really affect the team's rally. It can't be avoided.

Steve Kerr almost calls it a game because of 99-70 behind entering the 4th Quarter. But his bench squad managed to cut it by 8 points haha.

I don't know if Kerr will put back his main starters lol. The Warriors outscored the Mavericks by 32-13 with 3 minutes left in the final quarter.

What a rally from the Warriors bench lol. This is the problem of the Mavericks since the beginning of this series. I'm expecting lots of criticism later after the game even if the Mavericks will win this game.

EDIT: 119-109 Mavericks
Mavericks pulled off 1 win, I think the series ends in game 5. GSW will close it out at home. Luka is a good player, but he is a ball hog and needs a couple more years to mature.

I missed the game today, but I guess you are correct. Why not extend the series for one more game and win at home. Mavs only has little to non chances of winning this series though. And, so much for Luka trying to be LeBron carrying the Mavs to the finals. I'm not even sure why the Luka and Porzingis didn't worked out. I think experience and maturity is really essential for Luka for the team to work whoever important pieces the Mavs will acquire.

There's still a lot more room to improve for Luka, I mean he is already good but this is just too much for him to bear because there are only 2 or 3 of them in the team who is really functional and Luka is the one who is so consistent. He will be back for the next season as a more experienced Luka, there is no need to rush because this is his 1st playoff experience and he is still 23 years old, yet he managed to carry the team to WCF.

Luka does not need to improve, it's the Dallas team that has to improve because only Luka is the most consistent in the team, without the consistency of his teammates, Luka will not be able to carry his team to beat the Warriors.  It's a must-win for them tomorrow, otherwise, they will be eliminated and their journey will be over, so let's see what he can do to extend the series.
The issue is noone will want to come to Dallas if they're never gonna get the ball. Luka has be more of a team leader and not think the game always rests on his shoulders. There's no doubt the guy is a good ball player, but share the load.
That's what everybody has been saying all series long.
Doncic can not carry the entire team on his shoulders, his back will eventually break.

I think Golden State will finish this series tonight so they can finally move on to the finals. And that is looking like with those Celtics the way the Heat played in their last game.

I must indicate that I'm very contented with the Celtics win last night. They were already the favourite side of the game in the first place but it was still Heat we were talking about. It isn't easy to beat them in this season. Celtics won two times in a row and got 3-2 ahead in the series as well. Something is going on really wrong with Heat now and I hope to see Celtics finishing up the series next time. But something inside me says that the series will be 3-3 first and after that Celtics will make it to the finals by 4-3.

For one, it seems that Butler and Lowry are still feeling the effects of their injuries. Second, there are no bench scoring for them, the Sixth man of the year is injured, third, they played poor defense and they are being outrebound by the Celtics in this series. Yes, why not 3-3 next game and Heat coming back right? But not sure because Boston is having this kind of momentum and they can't allow a team like the Heat forcing them a game 7 because they will lose their home court advantage.

When Tatum almost had a triple double and he got a support offensively from at least one of the players, and when the Heat shoots this bad, it was an inevitable Celtics win. And we have to note that Celtics also had a injured Marcus Smart for this game. There is something about this Celtics team. Even though Tatum might be considered a superstar, they are not feeling like that to me. They are a very wholesome team and we don't see this much of wholesome team usually. They are just one game away from going to the Finals, which is after this point and how they play, quite possible.

I guess the role players really knows their 'role', they need to support Jason Tatum in both offense and defense. And when they play this perfect, the Heat will have no chance against them.Hopefully though, we want a game 7 between the two, both are very close team as far as numbers go, and hopefully it will be time for Butler to comeback strong in game 6 and prevent the elimination. Play hard because there will be no tomorrow for them. And usually teams that have their backs against the wall responded very well.

Back in the day of 2004, Detroit Pistons built a team of players that were not seen as great players neither, Ben Wallace was undrafted as well, and many other players were drafted low too, and yet they achieved a championship.

It is not impossible, it is not like you need to have superstars in your team on each position, but it is quite difficult to do that. Like for example 2011 had Dirk, and nobody else played in the all-star game if I am not wrong. This type of situation is happening again to Mavs, and it is a very tough thing. I am not saying that they won't become good, they may, but it is going to be very tough to get that good.

I'm a fan of Heat, but I would agree that both Butler and Lowry performed very poorly (because of the injuries), and that's why they are now behind the series and they give Boston a lot of chance to steal this series and go to the finals. I'm conceding that with the way they show in their homecourt and lost this big, it might be over for them mentally.

The NBA has to do something about its one day to travel in between games. I mean I can only imagine how fagged out both teams would have been. There's so many injuries and little time to rest and recover from them. Personally, I have been watching Kyle Lowry all through this season and what I can say is that aside from his injuries it seems he his going through a lot. He's been off  for a large part of the season.

Nah man one off day in between is fine.  These are grown men who fly around the country all the time.  From Boston to Miami its a 3 hour flight with no time zone difference.  I don't buy that the travel is effecting this series or the playoffs.  Imagine the folks waking up every morning to roof houses in 100 degree heat 6 days a week for 9-10 hours a day.  Tell them that the NBA first class travel on private planes for a couple hours with a day off in-between is too hard you might get some harsh feedback.

The NBA management doesn't have to do anything because that's indeed a part of the game to travel to another territory to play and then wait again for their turn. I agree, it is not like this is something new in the league and they just don't have any choice either but to conquer it. Being in the playoffs is not easy because the intensity and fatigue really take some toll on the players, what more in the Finals that they will travel to the other side of the country just to meet and play with the hometeam.
That's two days rest if from West to East or vice versa, right? I forgot.
Regarding the travels, I think they know the hardship of that, and right, it's part of the game. That's why the fans will really help out if they can boost their players who just came from a long journey with jet lag or motion sickness.

Anyway, just hours remaining, and the Warriors vs Mavericks will start. Do you guys think there is still something about the Mavs that will shock us?
I have heard Reggie Miller say they have to blow out the Warriors at a great length before they can win one more. Because that 2nd half had always been on the Warriors' side. A 10-20 point lead will be easy to get back for them.

As it's something new, they are doing that ever since so they already know it's not the main reason for injuries. One day travel is enough to rest, and of course, we fans would want to see action everyday so we will always support that.

I think we have seen a lot of Coach Kidd's plays already and he may have nothing left to offer. Like you said, it's on the team if they will play better because he gave them everything and even had a chance to blowout the Warriors at many times but was not able to preserve it.
It's just a matter of playing hard until the buzzer sounds and that's what the Golden State Warriors have. Every possession is important, every defense should be a stop or if not make it as difficult as it could be for their opponent.

How about Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics later. This series is kinda unpredictable and I could not tell if the Heat do have the upper hand at their home. Boston stole one from them and it could happen again.
I may just watch the game and forget about betting.

It's pretty hard to predict who will win Game 5, even though the bookmakers think the Celtics are the favorites tonight. In addition, there is already an injury update, and the Celtics said that Smart and Williams will play, while the Heat said that Herro is out tonight. However, I think the Heat will have a chance to beat the Celtics if they can defend as they did in Game 3.

I think the bookies is right this time, game 5 was won by the Celtics.

Both Robert Williams and Marcus Smart played although limited minutes, but they have contributed big with their defense.

Unfortunately the Heat, don't have the players to score in this game, Bam did his share, but maybe Butler is still nursing that injury and not 100%.

Butler was unable to produce good numbers, maybe the injury still hitting him, but coach Spo still maximized his minutes inside.

playing 40 mins I really admire him as a player, he will try to stay and help though the outcome for today's game is not favorable for them

they need to find the best adjustment, else, Boston will finish the series at home.

I suspect that as well, he was not the same on the first 2 games of the series where his shooting was very accurate. Without Bulter good performance, there's a little chance that the Heat will beat the Celtics, so this series will not be going to game 7 as Celtics might end the series in 6.

It's the wear and tear of his body and it's putting a toll on him right now. In the beginning of the season he really performed about expectations but entering the playoffs, it goes down and then he got injured. Not sure what you mean by going to a lot, but at 36 and wanted to play high level, maybe it's giving up by the hard grind of 82 regular seasons game and then the playoff game.

No offense to Lowry, but he needs to step up. Without Herro, another offensive star should fill his shoe.

I was expecting Lowry to come up and take that responsibility, though I also see your point. He's no longer
on his prime and with the injury, it will bring tough challenges to him. Still have another game to try to push
these series to a do-or-die game, they just need to bring all the best they can.
