I've seen a picture of Zion Willamson during the Pelicans game against Rockets and he looked really huge. Someone even compared him to the WWE star Mark Henry Grin I feel sorry for New Orleans fans already. They have Brandon Ingram who played well but it would have been better if they also have him playing too.

Yeah, that's one comment on Zion even before he went to the NBA, weight issues, and now that he is injured and not playing, he has ballooned so much that he doesn't look fit at this point.

That's why his detractors says that he should hire dietitian to help him out control his weight otherwise if will be very difficult for him to comeback if he is going on see-saw diet, not going to be healthy in the long run for him.

The weight was already there, but look how effective he is during the last season and every time he is on the court. Maybe his weight made him injury prone and I'm pretty sure the management and staff would do everything to protect their investment.

Many doubt about him due to that matters so if Zion want to stay on the league for long time then maybe he should manage this issues and find some ways to lose some weights. But for sure his management will advice that to Zion since he will lose his star status if he will became injury prone at early stage of his career.

If he plans on losing weight, then probably he already did that in the very start of his season. I guess he is the Shaq of NBA and he will never change, he just have to be very careful and trust his teammates to also deliver so the pressure for him to score is not so high.

One thing that really impressed me during the Warriors Suns game was how Wiggins did the "Penny move" on CP3 for an easy bucket.  There's lots of videos circling around the internet showing that Wiggins actually uses this move somewhat frequently, which is interesting because I just read an article last week about how the "Penny move" hasn't been done in the NBA in decades...  Wiggins to me seems to finally be living up to his hype when he came into the league.  I think he's still going to get better and will be a major part of the Warriors postseason run.
I saw that too and bro it gave me the chills. I mean, CP3 is not a bad defender but the space Wiggins gained was a lot after doing "the move". He does it a lot of times but this is the first time it was highlighted because it almost looked like an ankle breaker even though it's not really a crossover.
Penny move? As in Anfernee Hardaway move?
Wiggins is still growing and he might have fallen into good hands with the Warriors player development team.

Yes, not many may not know this move, but Penny Hardaway started this move in the 90's. Not sure though how Wiggins thought of this move because he has been pulling this against Lebron as well.

As for the weight issues of Zion, I think with the proper diet, he can still go back and play even with that added weight. I mean the kid is a freak of nature, he can carry his body and move like a point guard and can still leap and tower over anyone. And it really help him out when doing isolation play in the post because it's hard to guard him one on one with that weight like Shaq during his time.

Exactly, his weight was never an issue, his stats would clearly prove that.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/willizi01.html

As you can see his PPG average was only 22.5 in 2019-2020 and it has improved to 27.0 in the previous season.

he is very talented, he is even almost unstoppable inside, so he can maintain his weight if he is effective on it.
I just hope he will be back soon, it's a pain in the eyes seeing the Pelicans struggling.

My question is... do you guys believe there are chances for the Rockets to participate in the playoffs this season?
There is a chance but it's going to be hard for them, look at their standing, they're one at the bottom of their conference. It is going to be a hard and long way for them to go to the playoffs.
But who knows if there's luck with their team and nobody gets injured and their next matches would be theirs. It's really hard to say confidently but the chance is very low.

I honestly don't see them as a playoff team this year. I mean they are still a young team. Give them at least 2-3 years and they'll be a playoff team If they keep their young talent.
Those top 8 teams in the West will surely be on the playoffs this year. Though the Lakers were struggling too much and they're at the current bottom seed  for the playoff team but I believe they could somehow make it to the playoffs.

Anyways it's just a game warriors fans better luck nextime.
Actually I loss that game  Grin

I still trust the Warriors and I still believe they are the best team in the NBA now despite that loss. Just another bad game for the Warriors, it does not happen all the time, so we better watch out for the next game as they will certainly bounce back, should be easy money again.

Of course this is just one lost in the book, maybe they underestimate them or really tired because all their energy was on the Phoenix Suns game.

But regardless, they've learn their lessons in this lost and move forward and maybe next time they won't allow them to run over and have a 20 point lead because it's hard to overcome.

And they can comeback strong and we can recoup our loss in the future.

The next game of the Warriors is against the Charlotte Hornets, not a tough team to beat so the Warriors will probably start strong and finish strong in this game. No odds available yet, but I believe the Warriors are the heavy favorite to win this game since they always bounce back every time they lose, IIRC, they haven't loss twice this season yet.
Well, Charlotte Hornets won the game vs Atlanta Hawks despite being short-handed and put up 17 threes to bury the Hawks. But when it comes to the GSW, Hornets aren't a tough team to defeat for the Warriors even with 5 strong players including LaMello Ball. This game will go down in-favor to GSW, as expected. GSW will drill some deep 3-points to redeem their loss vs Spurs recently and be back confidently.

Well, he is the number 1 for a reason and him playing with the team will make the team better, however, we never know when players will get injured because they are playing a physical game and they are prone to it.  By the way, there are no rumors yet as to when he will return, he could play this season or be ruled out, we never know, we just have to wait and get used to seeing the Pelicans' struggles.

Best team for this season? It's quite too early and premature to decide for it because the season 21-22 just have started recently. Yes, we know that the Spurs is just lucky to get through that game last night and had a 5 points difference. But there's the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks to argue about this season's best team.

My question is... do you guys believe there are chances for the Rockets to participate in the playoffs this season?
No, not at all.

In the last 6 games that they won, only one team I believe is a good team, and that is the Chicago Bulls. The others are a non-playoffs team so I don't like to get hype so much with the 6 games winning streak, I need to see more games like the Rockets beating teams like legit good teams.

Their next game is against the Nets, if they'll beat the Nets, then I must say they are legit.

That statement is true, if they manage to win against Nets we might consider them.

But so far that 6 winning streak is nothing  once they start to play against competitive teams or those who really have playoff slots.

So far, it's good to see that they are playing and trying to compete to stay. Good enough for the team even they are likely expected to

exit again in a much earlier period.

Houston Rockets today have just earned their 6 straight wins and looks like they finally found some rhythm that lead them to dominate every game from the worst team in the current season, now they are climbing to the playoff tree by defeating every opponent that crosses their way. Rockets is finally lifting off!

Excellent observation @yazher !
The Houston Rockets are having chemistry among the players and it seems like things are flowing naturally!

I believe the team needs to be consistent to get a playoff spot!

It was a lucky day for the Spurs because they're shooting a high percentage in the first half which made the GSW struggle to catch up until the 4th quarter but still, the game is on the Spurs so they still lose regardless of how hard they go to catch up the score.

San Antonio Spurs gave their best. It's not lucky. Golden State Warriors might be one of the best teams in the league but it doesn't mean it's always a sure win for them against the likes of Spurs. There are lots of plays that Spurs executed properly especially when the time is ticking down. They won because of team effort and not because they are just lucky.

Might be unexpected but the result just proves that the ball is always round. Also, lose my handicap bet on that one but it's ok.

No excuse and again GSW knows that, another loss and they need to move ahead.

Way back we also see GSW as a lucky team when they are able to beat Spurs big 3, it's just the determination and the system
which all the coaches are using. When players follow all roles that designed for them, the chance is higher for the team to win.

Unexpected outcome always possible. We just need to move on.

Just to give some quite old news, a few days ago that the coach of Suns has been named coach of the month.

No questions, he did change the Suns way of playing basketball during the bubble and until now.

I missed the close game between Jazz and Cavs. You would expect that either team could still score with over a minute left but I've never seen a game with three blocks from both ends hehe. Cleveland could have stolen this but tough luck.

...
I think the Warriors gave everything they had to beat the Suns and didn't have enough left in the tank after the quick turnaround to handle the Spurs.
That's possible but still not an excuse.
