This Lakers vs Suns game is getting hard to watch. The Suns have started flat out disrespecting the Lakers vets and making them look like old men out there. Even the fans are getting in on the act now with a court side fan being removed for messing with Rondo. LeBron checked out of the game and doesn’t seem like he wants to be out there. The new look Lakers aren’t looking so hot thus far…

I pretty much thought watching the Celtics play was the worse thing that could happen tonight, but men this is worse... Westbrook, LeBron and Anthony Davis getting schooled like the odds weren't before the game.

I guess it's going to take a while before these three (AD, Westbrook, and LeBron) would learn to play together, and the body language of LeBron in the 2nd half so far has been a big NO for me,from complaining about almost everything to not joining his teammates up court during transitions.

I didn't watch the Lakers vs Suns, but the Celtics vs Toronto is worst as well.

Celtics can't buy a basket, Tatum missing a lot of shots and what shut out the whole game.

Gary Trent and Scottie Barnes are playing with the Celtics defense. And worst they are the favourite to win against the Raptors in their home court. What a disappointing lost and for the fans as well.
A real disappointment unlike with Lakers who try to bounce back in the last quarter,

But they've lack out of time, those 3's from Melo and LeBron gives them a chance to cut the lead to a single digit, not sure why Rondo needs to sit for the rest of the game, Coach Vogel should take Russ instead of Rondo.

Lakers cores still not jiving well, need more practices and system that will give them good chemistry inside the court.

They did show some promise at the end after the Suns were making them look foolish.  They cut the lead from 30 down to 12 and then pulled the stars.  A good way to end I guess, but it took them being disrespected on their home court in order to make it happen.  I need to find out more about what happened between Dwight and AD.  I'm really hoping tonight was a bit of a rock bottom moment for them and they rally from here and start kicking ass.  I don't think I'm ready to accept that so many of the greats I watched for so long can no longer compete.
Please do. I found the replay in a streaming services but I can't hear what they are saying.
According here it was just about the defensive coverage of both players and Howard said it's okay, they are brothers. I am not sure if it's just to cover the truth.

I think the losing game is what intensifies their emotions. So much was expected on them and they are shouldering it all and I do think that is also the reason they are all stiffed. It's only Rondo that looks calm of them all with his 3's getting in (14 mins 2/3), but AD, Lebron, and even WB are missing easy shots especially the lay-ups.
Just as I thought chemistry will be their biggest issue. 9 new players, it's like 1st day of elementary school.  Grin

I would agree that they were better in the end of the 4th Quarter but it really was just too late already, and moreover I'd also want to believe that the push they tried to make was probably because Suns were already so comfortable, that's if how they played in the first 3 quarters are to be considered. It seem as though they (Suns) were being respectful and all they needed was to make a few buckets after a few possessions thereby taking some time off the clock.

Stephen Curry will be the greatest shooter of all time. It's just that some old NBA fans that witness the greats of Ray Allen, Reggie Miller etc. will not agree.

They can't accept that there's someone from new era that will pass these legends. They should appreciate that as Stephen Curry worked on that. He started from scratch and successfully changed the way games were played in NBA since the time he entered the league, the big man was dominating and it's hard to scored from inside.
With that mentality, we can consider old pal who also contribute the name of Jerry West and Larry Bird will surely to comes up.

But for us who witness greatness in terms of deadly shooting capabilities, Curry changes the tempo of this league, bringing that style
Where he managed to shoot far from the rainbow arc. Curry inspired new young stars to shoot from a far and now more and more players are doing the same.

Curry is now the name when we talk about the greatest outside shooter.

There are many great shooters in the past and present but "Greatest" is too broad. How you determine who that player is depends mostly on your personal preferences. You can pull all the stats and other numbers but there are still the intangibles.

That's why I'm not participating in any GOAT discussion on every category because of personal preferences. Oldies will prefer those legendary players, and the current ones will prefer the current generation.

Mainly, stats is the reference but for me, it shouldn't end there.

Long story short, just go with a flow. Smiley

Everybody has it's own opinion about "Greatest" debate. That's why the GOAT himself doesn't want to argue about it and he said that we can't compare era's because we really can't. Jordan might be the best in 90's. But in the 2000's it was Kobe and Lebron for some specially those who didn't catch Michael Jordan in his prime or at least in his champion runs with the Bulls. Yes, there are also intangibles that we can't measure statistically, like the mentally of those supposedly "Greatest".

However, Steph is unlike any other, when he gets hot, it is not like anything I have ever seen, dude drops bombs from near half court, that is insane. I can't believe how great he could become when he is on fire, it is like we are watching something out of some anime or something, dude is unreal.

Steph is great therefore the defense should be tighter on him as he can shoot in a range that some are not confident in shooting the ball. He will become the greatest 3 point shooter as soon as he surpasses Ray Allen which will likely happen this season. As long as he is healthy, we can always count the GSW to have a spot in the playoffs and a chance to win an NBA Finals.

IMO, even If Curry haven't surpassed Ray Allen yet but I already considered him as the greatest 3pt shooter of all time. I mean he changed the game of basketball and encourage so many pro-basketball aspirants to become efficient in shooting 3's.
I remember during my younger days, there were only few people who could and willing to shoot 3's, but today is different because everyone can shoot 3's already.

One thing that separates Curry from all of the 3pt shooter is that, he can actually pull a 3pt. shoot anytime and anywhere he want even with the defender in of him, even with a little breathing room he'll pull a 3 in front of you.

That's true, we can't deny that but maybe let's just wait until Curry will be able to surpass the record of Ray Allen on most made 3 point shots so Ray Allen has nothing to say anymore.

Look at his statement here.

Allen says Miller, not Steph, is greatest shooter of all time

Respect for Allen, but maybe in his generation, Miller is the greatest shooter.

But we all know how Curry change the rule of NBA early 2010-2015 with his terrific 3 points from anywhere, 30 feet from the logo itself. So to each his own opinion, but once he surpasses his record then there's no question about it as to who will become the greatest shooter base on the history books. So it will be Curry, him and then Reggie Miller.

I think Curry is just hitting his prime and so is Thompson when he comes back. Klay's number was insane before he got injured. The catch and shoot was his bread and butter.

I missed that already and I'm so excited about his return after a long healing period.

The splash brothers are the greatest shooters in the NBA, Thompson is a big help once Curry got doubled as he always gets open and that means dagger as he can shoot the ball without any problem, the confidence is just oozing for him.

I understand how you feel but we have to understand that Thompson suffered a major injury, has been out for 2 seasons, so it will not be automatic that he will come back and play as if nothing happened. IMO, it will take time to build the confidence back although his form in 3 point shooting is still there, but please, let us not expect a lot so we will not be disappointed.

Steph showed once again that when he is healthy, he is as unstoppable as it gets on offense. Don't get me wrong, we have some great offensive players in the NBA right now, people like durant, harden, lebron, giannis and many others, we have really good offensive players, we are lucky to be watching this era of offense, especially if you watched the defense era as well.

I'm doubtful that they can get on NBA finals with this roster even if Klay Thompson back again. There is a lot of strong team right now that can shut down this splash brother easily compared during there prime.
Just wait until you see Klay, what if Klay Thompson played the same when he was not injured yet, I think you will change your mind. have you seen how the GSW beat the LA Lakers on the opening night? that means they are capable of beating even the team that people think will win the championship.

Yes, with Klay Thompson coming back then there's a big potential of GSW to be a contender again in the West. Curry 30 PPG and then Thompson and then Poole plus Wiggins, probably we are going to see like 100 PPG between those players already.

I think Curry is just hitting his prime and so is Thompson when he comes back. Klay's number was insane before he got injured. The catch and shoot was his bread and butter.
