I haven't watched the whole Lakers vs GSW game, but the Lakers lost. It's not that the Lakers were missing something except a small chemistry and missed free throws and turnovers, but it's the GSW has been once again spectacular this year. A lot of guys has been improving, Jordan Poole was the most notable player who has greatly improved. They're once again surrounded with a lot of shooters, can both do damage from inside the paint or beyond the arc.

I hope to see a dangerous GSW again and reclaim their spot in the playoffs.
I watched the whole game trying to analyze what is wrong and what is right. It's the battle of teams with full chemistry (GSW) against none (Lakers).
But when its Lebron, AD, and Rondo on the floor, you could see a big change with how they move. When Westbrook is in, they are scrambled.
I agree with what Charles Barkley and how he compared it with his own experience after being traded to Suns. Westbrook cannot find himself.
Suddenly, it became a different league or band of players. He got used to being the main man or the quarterback but now the job is being divided to everyone.
Charles said he didn't need to change, just be Westbrook again. Let's give him more time to adjust and I know he will get through it.

Also noticed the contribution of Iguodala who had a good game contributing 12 points from 4-7 shooting. I think as a veteran of the team, he can be a big help for the GSW to be better this season, and this GSW is playing without Thompson yet, so they are already scary at the current state. We also cannot miss the contribution of Bjelica, he is very effective having a double-double in his first game as a warrior.
He is comfortable playing with the GSW as they never change the system, unlike with the Miami Heat (his previous team), I think Iggy has a chance to have another ring before he will formally retire. I'm happy for him and I hope he will remain healthy throughout the season as he is very useful to the team especially on their defensive side.

Yeah, nothing has change, Iggy is familiar with Steve Kerr's system and there is no adjustment for him. He feels relax that's why in his first game alone he has a good contribution.

Although after the game, Curry said that he has a bad game, still he has a double double. Talking about bad games. But Jordan Poole is the difference here, he has tremendously improve his game and could be part of the Splash brothers when Klay comes back this season.

Yes, we have been talking about Jordan Poole improving his game from last year and it shows in this game. He is like a mini Klay as he can shoot that 3 anywhere he wanted. And he is the fuel for GSW to make a comeback. Just imagine if Klay comes back in the line up. Draymond also pushing the ball like he does during their championship run. GSW is dangerous and could be one of the underrated team this year.

Bucks leading the Nets in the second quarter. Giannis is taking the first game seriously and they want to proved that winning last season's championship is no fluke.

James Harden leading the Nets, and so is Patty Mills, I guess they won't miss Kyrie as Patty is a very solid all around player.

Score: 50-37 - Bucks.

Don't kid yourself patty can't hold kyries jock.  They might be fine but not because patty mills is an equal stand in.  I do think patty is perfect for this team but he is no kyrie on the floor.  Patty excels with stars on the court with him.  Great complimentary player that teams need to win.

What I meant is that they have another scoring options that can play a similar position. If Kyrie is not available then it will be like -20-30 points per game for the Nets. Durant and Harden might cover it, however, they still need someone and Patty can be a good fit for the Nets. Unfortunately they have lost to the Bucks, Giannis is too much.

I guess the Bucks had a decent shot for a repeat this season, what do you think?

Bucks are intact and healthy, they are playing good defense and their chemistry is getting better, Giannis as their leader is also very confident now that he already won a championship, so the Bucks that we have now is very much different compared to the season when they still did not win a championship.

agree, this should be easier for them, than first championship to win
prior to winning the first title, they were always thought as good team, but that cannot finish it, and now it seems that they have confidence to smash this championship

by all means, it is hard to find competitor that is good enough to challenge them on this road to defend the title

I did not see the live game but that quarter was the 50-37 - Bucks.. is that in favor of the nets or the Bucks. I can only see the per quarter score now and the Bucks really dominate in 3 quarters, except in the 2nd quarter, they were so good that they prove why they were the champion.

I watched it and my take was that Giannis was too big for the Nets. He seemed to be having his way with them all night. Harden seemed to be struggling too. He wasn’t controlling the offense the way he usually does. I don’t think they could have won that game the way they were playing even if Kyrie was there. Durant did OK, but he seemed to be forcing shots. They seemed to be out of playing shape. Might take a few games before they start looking good.

They have got to have something planned.  Booker never really seemed to get along with Ayton and Chris Paul is destined for retirement soon.  Maybe they're planning to do a sign and trade with Ayton and let Chris Paul go to do some major free agent signings?  There's been talk about Deangelo Russel and KAT teaming up with Booker, but that might be a tall order for management.  The Bridges signing for 90 million just doesn't make much sense to me no matter which route they take, which makes me think that Suns management are going to do something stupid.  If only it weren't expected at this point.
Hmm, this is a plausible thing to happen!
Is it serious that Booker (probably) doesn't get along with Ayton or CP3? I never realized it.

Well, KAT is a good player and I believe he can replace Ayton's place in the Suns.
Ayrton is that stronger type of player and has a contact game, while KAT is more skillful and has better technique than Ayton, I almost forget, KAT can easily play like a C or PF.

Check the rumors. Still, those teams on it are the candidate where Ben Simmons should go. Sixers should accept that they won't reach the agreement trading Simmons to any team if they are asking for too much in return. That's why Simmons tells them that it's on Sixers management, not him, how he can be valuable in trade. Sixers can hunt for role players or close to All-Star level rather than expect a Superstar return trading Simmons.
Okay, I'll be following the rumors, I confess I'm curious about the future of Simmons in NBA.

Man… Ben Simmons got kicked out of practice and suspended today… The drama continues. We’ll have to wait for more details on what occurred, but I think it’s safe to say that Ben Simmons won’t be making up with Philadelphia anytime soon. I really don’t think the sixers have any choice at this point but to dump him off to Sacramento for Fox and try to salvage something from the Ben Simmons failed experiment.

Yes, I think Sacramento will be a better fit for Simmons, I'm not sure why Sixers management is prolonging both of their agony. Get ride of Simmons for good and trade him for Fox or future draft picks. Is this really Sixers way of getting back at Simmons though? when it seems that Simmons are in the practice, he was kicked off. Maybe his presence makes some Sixers players uncomfortable that's why they need to removed and suspend him.

Ben Simmons is no longer fit in his team since he just lost some of his teammate's trust and support. Based on the speech of Joel Embiid, he just doesn't really care about him. "I don't care about that man". He shouldn't act like that when his team didn't reach the NBA finals in the last two seasons. He should be capable of bringing back the confidence of his team to be able to recover again and bring them back to NBA playoffs to compete with those top teams again.

And I thought the players are okay with it. But it was not okay for their coach, Doc Rivers. He was the one who kicked him out with a reason of being a "distraction" to the team. Why? Here are the details.
Quote
Sixers coach Doc Rivers threw Simmons out of practice on Tuesday for being disengaged, and the suspension was handed out shortly thereafter. Rivers asked Simmons to join a defensive drill, and Simmons refused, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Rivers then told Simmons that he should go home, and Simmons obliged.

He was not ready to follow Doc again, this proves how young he is. All he need to do is follow the basics and play the game. The anger with Doc remains and he cannot move on yet. He had his time to think about that and after deciding to go back to the huddle he should be ready for those commands from his coach even if he hates him that much. He lacks Hollywood.  Grin

Simmons' decision to return to the team was unexpected for everyone. I guess the 76ers even hoped that their relationship could get better. However, it looks like his return is a formality considering his actions during practice. He just doesn't want to lose money due to huge fines.

Yeah I just seen that.  I wonder what pissed doc off to boot him out.  At this point I don't even know if sac would give up Fox, that would be a coup for Philly at this point.  Definately watching the 2nd game to see how this all unfolds.
Hehehe this is not totally unexpected after all that has been said and done before he rejoined the team. The coach will continue to press each player hard even during practice while Ben seems unmotivated still. It's probably the same feeling when you don't want to be part of anything but you're forced to. Great job Doc for asking him to leave instead of affecting the whole team negatively.

Agreed but I don't know if it was a motivation thing.  Could easily have been a scuffle.  I'm sure his teammates were pretty pissed he ghosted them and refused to talk to anyone from the team.  Either way we are gonna get a load of Philly highlights on espn unfortunately cause of this drama.  Can't wait for the later game.
