James Harden became the 4th player in NBA history to pass the 25000 points, 6000 rebounds and 7000 assists threshold. He is an all-around player, and if he can wear a ring, he will be perfect.
There are some very strong teams in the West this year, but the Clippers are a serious contender with perhaps the best roster in their history. It will be a shame if this squad can't at least play the final.
Whenever his name is mentioned, I can still remember the trick that he did when he passed the ball too Kawhi and tried to block him.

Anyway, there is no doubt that the Clippers is a good team for this season. They're a championships caliber and just as the superteam that have been built to get into the finals.

It's true that it will be a regret if they don't get to the finals.

[....]This also gives the Cavs plenty of time to find him a new home next year with a trade before they lose him for nothing.  This is likely the reason he's saying now that he's going to decline the player option.  He wants to get traded to a contender next year and not waste another season in Cleveland while also not leaving the Cavs wondering what he's going to do.
I think the early announcement from Mitchell is good and bad for the Cavs management at the same time. Other teams that are interested will try to low ball them since they know that the player already wants out. Cavs will also have less bargaining power because of that.

But as long as Wiggins can contribute in their defense then he will be good. Kuminga is still out though, and so Wiggins got back his position again and playing like 80% when they won their last ring. Yeah, I think their starting 5 looks solid with Jackson-Davis now at the center replacing Looney at the first 5. But it's all good, Looney coming from the bench and same with CP3, still there is depth.

They are still one of the best teams in the playoffs, but the Warriors will have a tougher journey as they might play the Lakers in a do or die game, it's like a Western championship game because the two teams are full of superstars. Curry will meet Lebron again but this time will be in the play-in, how exciting, isn't it?

In case the Warriors will advance, they will still play either Kings or Pelicans, which I think easier compared to the Lakers, so I believe they'll make it to the playoffs. This is the current picture but it come change since the regular season is not yet over.

It would be great to see the Lakers and Warriors going at each other in the play-in tournament, but looking at the current standing with just 5-6 games left, it looks like the Lakers still have the chance to get into the higher seed if they can win all their remaining games. Looks like they have an easier opponent than the Kings and the Pelicans. Let's see what will happen here, because if the Kings losses today against the Celtics, they'll move down to #9 and the Lakers will move up to #8.
On the other hand, I thought the Rockets would overtake the Warriors, but the Warriors refused for that to happen and go on with 6 game winning streak leaving a comfortable lead against the Rockets who had 3 game losing streak after the hot win streak.

Warriors make things right to secure the playin spot, not yet time  for the Rockets but chances to keep improving with the current selection is really possible,  they just need to keep working things out and comeback even stronger,  with the current spot you are right Lakers have the opportunity to snatch the 8 spot if kings continue to lose their remaining games, putting them in a risky spot knowing that warriors have that capability beating them.

To early to conclude but it's almost playoffs and everyone are doing everything to have that 2nd round spot!

One thing to notice about the Malachi Flynn game is that dude managed to score 50 points with amazing efficiency, 18/25 fg is not what you are used to seeing from a 50 point game, and yet Pistons still lost the game. Do you know how bad you have to be to not win a game when just one of your players play like that?

I mean there is a reason why they broke the longest losing streak in the world type of record, they are seriously bad, like as in even worse than "trust the process" period of sixers, they are the worst team I have ever seen in over 20 years of me watching NBA. You gotta win this game man, dude did everything for you and you still didn't manage to get anything going for the whole game, that makes no sense at all.

I had no idea who he was before the 50 point outburst, which made him the lowest averaging points per game player to ever do it. He had to be efficient as I’m sure it wasn’t in the game plan for him to score so much. It will be interesting to see if he gets more playing time as a result or if it was just a one time fluke.

One time fluke.  He couldn't craxk the rotation in Toronto and was traded to the Knicks along with OG and Precious in the rj and quickly trade.  Flynn was a throw in, and then the Knicks threw him in the bogdonovich and Alex Burks trade when we sent them quintet grimes and Fournier.  Flynn was a throw in there.  I watched him play during his short stint in New York.  Dude was OK and serviceable which is his numbers reflect.  He is a 10 minute a game 4 points off the bench breather for one of the starters.  He would have to take time away from Cunningham and/or ivey which he won't be doing unless one of them go down hard.

There are two games for me tonight.
Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors
Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves
My favorites from these games. Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves
These two games will be fun and I will watch them.
It's the last weeks of the NBA regular league and every game is very important for the teams in the standings.

I changed the poll, have you voted yet? Who's your favorite coach this season?
My preference, like everyone else who has voted so far, is Mark Daigneault, without whom Thunder wouldn't have achieved these results. He used the roster very well. SGA may not win the MVP award, but he proved that he is one of the best 3-4 players in the league. I think he's still very underrated.
I want to vote for Doc but he's not on the poll. But if it's on the one included on the poll, I'd still give props to Michael Malone.

He's very underrated and bringing the Nuggets to the finals and getting that chip last season is history. This time, they might get a back to back so I'd vote for him.

Many likes Mark but there goes my one vote for Malone.  Smiley
I'm torn between Mark Daigneault and Michael Malone but I gotta go with Malone too. I admire a lot what he has been doing with the Nuggets. Even though I am personally not rooting for them, they are a great team for a long time. I like how Malone handling the team and the style of play they have. With that rooster, he is getting the maximum. And with a superstar like Jokic, he manages the team accordingly. If they manage to win the championship again, they will be modern legends and Malone has quite an important part of it.

Reports saying that Donovan Mitchell will decline his player option for the final year of his contract 25-26.  This shouldn't come as too big of a surprise as I don't think he ever wanted to be in Cleveland in the first place, but now he's come out and said that he's going to be playing somewhere else (by declining the contract offer) when his contract is up.  The amount of money he is turning down to play with the Cavaliers another season?  $37,000,000.  This also gives the Cavs plenty of time to find him a new home next year with a trade before they lose him for nothing.  This is likely the reason he's saying now that he's going to decline the player option.  He wants to get traded to a contender next year and not waste another season in Cleveland while also not leaving the Cavs wondering what he's going to do.

If I recall it correctly, there were intentions of him going to New York, but it didn't happen and they pick Jalen Brunson which is a great deal for them. But who knows, a Brunson/Mitchell back court might be unstoppable and can rival the best duo in the lead right now, Tatum/Brown. And maybe another destination for him is Lakers? maybe a trade involving D'Lo/Hachimura for Mitchell? Or even the streaking Houston, VanFleet/Mitchell is not as bad as we think. So lot's of option for Mitchell with this news and teams are going to look at what they can offer to him.

That's true but it's been a while since GSW had great games against Dallas and the way Luka is playing right now , I think the game will flow into his direction and eventually Mavs will win. I also think that GSW taking a L tonight won't affect them much since Rockets are in a streak of 3 lost games and most likely will get another tonight against Miami so pretty much GSW secured that last spot for play-in tournament.  Grin

I like the Lakers vs Warriors again in the play-in, both are healthy and so there are no excuses and it's the old rivalry, Curry and Lebron but this time, it's a do or die game. And just like what the rest might be seeing, going to be 50/50 or maybe the Lakers are going to be the slight favorite as they will have the home court advantage although I think the Warriors this season is a better road team as compare to last year.

They have the numbers against the Kings, and the Pelicans doesn't have that experience as compare to them, so yeah, it might be easier if they will and make it to the playoff. But we will see as they have some games to complete.

Warrior still have 6 games to play, and that includes a tough game tomorrow vs the Dallas Mavericks. Looking at their record in the ranking, it's very close and there's a possibility that the Warriors will end up at the number 6 spot. I wouldn't take about the play-in vs the Lakers early as that could change for sure, the Warriors are still unstoppable, if they can win tomorrow, their win streak might continue.

Their succeeding games.

mavs-jazz-lakers-trailblazers-pelicans-jazz

They've beaten the Mavs a couple of games back, there was one highlight in that game wherein Draymond Green made a great block on Gafford an they won that close game. But since they are going to play at Dallas, they are a huge underdog the last time I check.

So I do agree that this is a tough game for them, but maybe the momentum is with the side of the Warriors as they have their own winning streak and the rotation is now working and Klay is like averaging close to 20 points in the last 6 games or so.

warriors won very convincingly, the Rockets unfortunately had no chance of reversing the defeat scenario, in the first period the warriors won by a difference of 9 points, it even seemed that with a small difference like that it could be seen that the rockets managed to win in the second period and with that they would balance the game, but that was not what happened in the second period, they lost again and this time the difference in points was 6 points, it was a small improvement in the rockets defense and also in their attack who managed to score 26 points, it was an increase of 2 points compared to the first period, in the third period the game was more balanced and the warriors won again, but the rockets had a great improvement in performance in the third period

They managed to score 33 points in the third period, if they had a good defense they could have won the third period, but they were unable to have a good defense, in the fourth period they lost again, this time the difference in points was 7 points, the Warriors in Every period they managed to keep more than 30 points scored, this consistency allowed them to win the game very comfortably in my opinion. tomorrow the warriors will play against the mavericks, the last time these two teams played against each other the warriors won the game by a small difference of points, it was a balanced game and looking at the game tomorrow, I would say that the mavericks will be a difficult opponent to beat, I still see the warriors winning

Warriors are 7-3 as well, Rockets are 7-3 in the last 10 games too but that just makes the difference stay the same.

The result of these two teams over the last 10 matches is really the same. The only difference is that the Rockets' last three losses have been decisive for them, and it looks like they have already missed their chance to compete for the last spot in the play-in tournament.
Unfortunately for the Rockets, but the Warriors have surprisingly been performing well in recent games.

Warriors did looked not that great for just a short while but they did manage to turn it around as they always do. Seeing Curry and Lebron play in the play-in tournament is sad because it shows how old we are getting, I remember like yesterday when these two players went to finals against each other like 5-6 times if I am not wrong, plenty of times in a row basically, and that felt like it was something that was fun to watch, it was our youth, started in 2015 if I am not wrong, and that means 9 years ago.

It doesn't feel like 9 years ago at all. But to be fair, after they ended their run, both lebron and curry won one more against other teams, but toronto won too, bucks won too , denver won too, so it has been a while now.

There you go, a win for the Warriors. I was worried for nothing when the Rockets were closing in on the standings and could possibly replace GSW in the 10th seed. Both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson scored 29 points. I just hope Klay can score 20-plus points in their remaining games as well, so they can solidify their spot for the play-in and beyond.
With that win, that decreases the chances of the Rockets stealing that 10th spot from them.
Both the splash brothers scored more than 25 points which is a good thing.

The Rockets doesn't have the chance if I'm not mistaken, but still the Warriors should win their remaining games, 6 games remaining for them, but still there are though teams, like the Mavs (which they beat already), Lakers and the Pels, so they could go 3-3 in their last 6.

What's good with the Warriors is that, anybody from the team can just step up offensively if needed. In this game, we've seen Jackson-Davis, and Thompson helped Curry in offense. Wiggins had a bad night though with only 10 points, but as long as there's somebody who can helped Curry with the offense, this is a team to watch out with during the playoffs. I mean they're still the team that won the title in 2022. The starting 5 which is considered best at that time is still in tact and aside from that, they still have young players that can help the team in both offense, and defense.

But as long as Wiggins can contribute in their defense then he will be good. Yeah, with that win, the Warriors 10th spot is for sure now, although they were given by a scare by the Houston Rockets, after they have their longest streak this season. But we know that at the back of our minds, Warriors is built definitely, they have the championship DNA and so they will be in the playin. Huge game by Steph and Klay and that what matter most. And so the four teams, the Lakers, Warriors, Kings and the Mavs will fight it out for the last 2 remaining team to enter the playoff. Those 4 teams are solid and so really hard to see who will go to the next round and it's hard to see any team among them not going into the playoff.
They badly need that win and that is why I also bet on the Warriors. It's a win to bury the Rockets to the 11 spot and slim the opportunity to tie with them for a play-in tournament chance.

Klay Thompson, that's the guy that I loved watching back before he was injured. 7 of 11 three-pointers were made gaining 29 points in just 29 minutes of game time. How about Trayce Jackson-Davis? Let's not forget about that guy who dominated under the rim. 20 strong points.
Almost every Warrior player recorded a point today and only one didn't during garbage time.
The Rockets are strong, I don't doubt them but without Sengun, the defense is focused only on Jalen Green, and look what happened, he only scored 13 points. Very different from his past few games where he is dominating.
