LaMarcus Aldridge has decided to sign with the Brooklyn Nets!

They might be the most stacked team in history. If the Lakers don’t pick up Drummond I’m not sure any other team in the NBA has a chance. This Nets squad could probably take down the 2016 Warriors...

Edit: Damn, got beat posting the news by a few seconds!

So potential first five of Nets:

Center - L. Aldridge
Power Forward - B. Griffin
Small Forward - K. Durant
Shooting Guard - K. Irving
Point Guard - J. Harden

Yeah, could be the most stack up teams in the modern era. Even the '96 can't match with this the Nets.

Is this final? I thought that this is still a rumor. But anyway, looks like the Nets are getting stronger in their force and really serious in taking this seasons ring.

Exciting.
Yeah, it's final because NBA already posted a report on the official site about it. Aldridge is going to sign a 1-year contract with the Nets.
On paper, the Nets(All-star) roster will be unbelievable and unstoppable, and I'll be excited to see them in action in the playoffs.

Oasisman was faster than you OgNasty lol

Anyway, I think the Nets are one of the most stacked teams in history, including the 2016/2017 Warriors
Will it be that next season if the Nets keep that same team, they can beat the record in the regular season of the Warriors (season 15-16) and exceed 73W / 9L?

Damn that news! I didn't expect that, so they have no chance on Drummond now?  I guess Lakers could acquire him and will make their team to compete with the this new level full of stars Nets. Coaching should be easy for Nash here, winning his first championship and coach of the year seems so bright now.

We can speculate in this area but we cannot prove anything.

Agree!

Ok the Brooklyn Nets is going crazy.
Lamarcus Aldridge just signed a 1 year deal with the Nets

I'm not sure yet, but that was the speculations circulating around the NBA news outlets.

Ikr hehehe. This news just got me literally jump from my seat. They are obviously a very stacked team.

The unhealthy Blake Griffin who couldn't make a single dunk in Pistons was fake. He was faking everything just to make his way out from the Pistons. I know he's been suffering from injuries, but it's so unbelievable that he can't make a dunk anymore. I mean, he's taller than PG13 who broke his leg but still manage to make almost the same dunks before he had severe injury.
The healthy Nets are now the scariest team in the NBA. They're now the most favourite team and most likely to win the championship this post season.

We can speculate in this area but we cannot prove anything.

What matters is the deal is done, Griffin is not anymore an asset to the team so he was sent to the Nets and Nets were happy with his arrival.
Win-win for both teams, no one would keep a player that is not anymore performing as expected, even if they got them as a superstar.

Nice game by Blake Griffin, I was not able to see the game and have not watch the highlights of the game yet.
Had he made another dunk shot in this game?

Another win by the Nets though, James Harden again, pouring 40++ points against Detroit. A lot of emotions specially Blake Griffin playing against his former team. He did have 17 points. Not enough time for Detroit to at least force the game into OT.

A huge improvement by Griffin from his previous game which he only scored 2 points.
I hope this will continue, Griffin contributing at least 15 points per game, with some rebounds as well, I think hat would be big enough as a contribution.
Nice game for them but they should really need to improve on how to take care of their lead. Because that's also what happened to them last time when they're in good lead but still able to be coped up by their opponent.

I can understand that they maybe have some problem in keeping up their lead because they only have Harden, Irving and Durant are still out, in fact my Nets has already surpass my expectation on how they will perform without the 2 stars, what matters now is they win and they keep winning even Harden is the only one among the big 3 is carrying the team.

Things are better for Nets while having Harden in the game.  Grin  It was a tough game anyway but Harden's performance was incredibly well. A performance consists of 44 PTS, 14 REB, 8 AST. I can't wait to see KD-Irving-Harden trio all playing at the same time. They will be deadly for all of the teams surely.
He's always like that and any team he goes, he's always giving his best shot and performance to provide and contribute to the team.

Griffin also did well. I'm waiting for the tandem of 4 combined in just one game. When we're going to see that happen?

Harrell was a terrible signing in my opinion. Howard manhandling him the other day proved it.

Drummond was in LA yesterday. They say he has meetings with the Clippers and Lakers while he’s there. They’re also saying he is no longer interested in signing with the Nets.
Yeah, right.
I'd rather pick Howard than Harrell.
It's just because of the 6th man award. If it's a big body and a high flyer needed below the rim, it's still Howard who dominates that field.
Obviously, he had changed his game and we witnessed that during the game against the Nuggets.
I am a Nuggets fan but damn, he did well at that time bullying Jokic and it worked.

Drummond is a free agent now. He can pick what team he wants to join but I think Lakers is not one of them anymore.
The Lebron injury could be the one reason.
I think Drummond could go to Celtics as well, they direly need some help at the big level, and Lakers already have few bigs so I do not think that it would make sense. I am not saying it will not happen, all I am saying that if it happens that would make no sense to me at all.

They have AD who is a true Center in today's game if you ask me, anytime the other big is not a huge player he ends up playing at Center every minute, and they have Harrel and they have Marc Gasol, now you may think Andre could replace Gasol or not, but I just do not see why would they do that, let the team be what it is and they could end up winning a ring like this, adding Drummond instead of Gasol would not change it "that" much, would still be a bit better but wouldn't be a major change. However Celtics who are trying to get him could really use him, they need a good rebounder for sure.

I've seen him got some alley-oop. In other news, Lebron might out for many weeks. (https://www.slamonline.com/nba/lebron-james-out-multiple-weeks-with-high-ankle-sprain/)

Yeah, he is slowly getting into his rhythm with Nets, coach Nash is doing good at phasing Blake at this point in his career. I will not be surprised to see him getting good numbers in the playoffs if his body is also improving. 15 points per game will be a big help. He is also playing good defense, then taking a rebound. Good acquisition, and hopefully he can get his first ring too.

Blake if he will stay healthy would be a big help for the Nets, he has not become a champion but he has a lot of playoffs experience way back when he was till playing with the Clippers, probably his best team so far, but maybe Nets will be his best team if he will win a championship here.

So they did won the game.
I was in doubt yesterday to bet for them because of the news that Harden is questionable to play.
The ML was also against them so it was good enough to bet for them without handicaps.

Yes, but it's a tough one, Detroit keeps coming back, they even had a chance to tie the game.

Griffin already forgot that he was a former Pistons?
That's nice after clapping for them when they scored last time the Nets met them.  Grin

I think it's more of a sarcastic gesture on his part though. But this time, he is more serious, even looking at Detroit bench when he score. I think he took it personally though, that's why he score 15 points here. But after the game, he remain civil, talking to some Detroit players and I don't see any animosity from him.

Guys, I'm a little bit out of what's going on in the NBA.

Does anyone know if Andre Drummond will actually go to the Lakers? And will LaMarcus Aldridge go to the Heat? What are the possibilities for this to happen?

If Drummond plays for the Lakers, can they be so competitive to beat the Nets?

We still don't know which team will Andre choose. Lakers should be the front runner, however, we don't know if that is finalised or not, same case with LaMarcus Aldridge.
