Sad to let Gary Harris go for Aaron Gordon but that's just NBA.
Chemistry out for a better rebuilding roster. Nuggets is aiming for a championship now.

Rondo for Lou? That's some intriguing trade there.
They say Clippers badly need a pointguard. I hope Rondo will fit in.
Lou Williams though is a good addition for the Hawks. Now, their offense won't stop even with the 2nd team.

I think Miami and Denver are the big winners of this deadline. Miami picking up Victor Oladipo might be the best trade of the day, but I think Aaron Gordon might end up being the biggest prize. It looks like the Lakers and Nets playoff runs just got a little more difficult. A bit disappointing that not more big men moved. I was expecting the Lakers to do something big.
Well, I think Rondo was a good addition for the Clippers too but I've probably prefer Lou not to be traded but let's see if he can still bring some of those works he has done like what he did on the Lakers.

Quote
Beal, Lowry, Aldridge, Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond, Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball and Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins were among the prominent names who were not traded. Aldridge and Drummond both appear poised for buyouts.
These names got the huge rumors recently yet it goes quiet, seems odd.
The rumor is that Drummond will go the Lakers, multiple sources has reported it already. Maybe they are just finalizing the deal that's why it's quiet.

As for Rondo, yeah, I agree that the Clippers has increase their chances in West with adding Rondo in their line-up. Now we can say that their starting 5 looks pretty solid.

What can you say about this deal? NBA trade deadline grades: Clippers pick up Rajon Rondo from Hawks for Lou Williams, per report.

Never thought that Rondo will land on the another Los Angeles team, last year he was helping Lakers to win their championship with Lebron. Now he is on the Clippers side now, I think the obvious winner here is Clippers are Rondo has the experience and they really need a good point guard to rotate the ball and help distribute it.

Reports are saying that Lowry will stay with Toronto.

I agree this was a good pickup for the Clippers.  If they do go head to head with the Lakers, Rondo's experience there should help them in predicting offensive sets and knowing what bothers the players from the defensive end.

I keep reading that the Lakers aren't willing to part with THT to get Lowry.  They must have high expectations for that kid, because from the LeBron "win now" perspective it would seem like adding Lowry over THT would be the way to go.

Rondo is underrated, at least Clippers understand that by getting him for one of their best players.

I like Rondo's presence in the floor and he deserve a team that has a chance to be in the NBA Finals, so I'm guessing that Rondo will have a back to back championship here.. imagine that?

Yes, he is underrated, maybe they forget that Rondo has rings with Boston too.

So this is a good addition for the Clippers, they are looking for a real point guard, Lou Williams is not.

I don't know, but THT is good and maybe that's why the Lakers doesn't want to let go of him instead of getting Kyle Lowry. THT is just 20 years old, Lakers for sure are looking to developed this young talent. 35 year Lowry vs 20 year THT, easy pick for the LA.

Denver got Howard and McGee, Miami got Bijelica, Boston got Fournier. Chicago for Vucevič. 1 hour 20 minutes to go. Now things will got really busy. Markkanen, Lowry, ...

Looks like Denver got Aaron Gordon too. One of the bigger prizes on the block. Woj said that the NY Knicks are finalizing a deal to get Lonzo Ball and the Lakers are making a last minute effort to get Kyle Lowry from the Raptors. Usually takes some time for the dust to settle and deals to finalize even after the deadline hits, so we could be in for a little more news yet.
It looks like the Heat is also trying to get Lowry, not just the Lakers, and I agree with you that we can expect an announcement about the deal with Lowry in the last minutes before the deadline. By the way, the Raptors already have traded Powell to the Blazers.

IMO, it's not a good idea because that is in exchange of Garry Trent Jr. which is doing pretty well this season and the last season as well.
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/report-raptors-trade-norm-powell-trail-blazers/

Hopefully the Blazers will not regret this trade.

With his increasing stats.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/powelno01.html

I guess he is a steal and it's just worth acquiring him as he can certainly help the Blazers, he is a great 3 point shooter as well and the best thing is he was a champion, and that's big already for a roster that no experience in championship game.

let's just see but I believe Powell with be effective with the Blazers.

What a pain watching the game of Nets vs. Utah Jazz. The starting five for Nets wasn't that even strong to face the first 5 of Jazz.  Undecided
I guess that the Nets, they'll try to win the next game against the Pistons.
Wasn't able to watch the game, but I was checking the score during the first quarter and I said to myself that there's no way that the Jazz are going to lose this one, going to be a massacre.

Yes, they can move on and try to win against the Pistons to go back to the win column again, the question is whether Harden can play or not.
I guess I'm expecting too much from them and start to become neutral whenever they have matches. And also, there's handicap that some of them didn't play along with.
Yeah, moving and looking forward to the next match that they'll have on against Pistons.

Teams are really making moves before trade deadlines still waiting for the biggest trade, hoping the lakers will make a move, and get another star player, they need to match the nets, or it will be over even though it's not starting, also there is a threat in the west with the jazz proving this year that they are a contender.

I am not sure what Raptors are thinking with this rebuilding mode thing. They are doing fine right now, they are not a playoff team right now but their young players will get better soon and they will be there, I do not get their now or never attitude neither, they did that with Kawhi and literally gambled for one year because he would leave and he left as well, so that ring was a big surprise for them but if they didn't get it, they would have been part of a very bad deal that didn't get them anything and still traded everything.

They are after doing the same thing I suppose, for rebuilding purposes this time around, and that doesn't make sense to me. If they trade lowry and powell, they are not going to get anything decent, but they are after picks I assume, and that's not going to be good picks neither from high level teams (why would a rebuilding team get them) and that's going to be hard.

Anyone seen the Boston vs Bucks game? It was really tight throughout the game, Giannis just scored 13 points in the game. It was Middleton who carry the team with 27 points. Boston was able to cut down the lead by the Bucks to 2 points and was in the opportunity to even win or tie the game. 1.0 seconds let and Daniel Theis has the opportunity to hit the three, unfortunately he missed it, bad lost for the Celtics.
Bucks got a huge lead from the 3rd quarter and up to the first minutes of the 4th quarter. I thought that they're going to lose this game when Boston got the score near to them.

I wasn't expecting it to be a 2 point lead only when Bucks got a good start. And that was even close, that last shot of Theis, if that went in, Bucks will hard to accept the defeat.

Boston is a good come back team, luckily the bucks survive from that late run scare. That is something they need to improve if they want to have a better result in the playoffs, they failed previously but maybe they have a chance to play the Nets in the ECF, hopefully it will happen and Heat will not upset them.
Hopefully that will happen.

I really thought that it will be ending as a disappointment for the Bucks. That's a big headline if the last shot just really got in.  Roll Eyes

Bucks needs to improve especially in this kind of dying minutes.

They need to mature and not to struggle whenever the oppoising team are doing a rally, Giannis Didn't score that much
but his presence is more than eough to help his team, good for them that Boston didn't snatched this one from them.
as you mentioned might be a news now if they'll failed to hold.

Less than 6 hours left before the trade deadline (3 pm ET) and basically no major trades have happened so far.

There were rumors last night that the Lakers are also interested in Lowry and might be willing to ship/deal Schroder or Caldwell-Pope.

Man, i desperately need to see some trades being made, Wright to Kings ain't gonna cut it for me.  Cheesy

But they failed on this game, good thing Bucks won this game, that was a tough game for them as Celtics is also a legit team though it struggle a bit. These playoff teams might meet again in the playoffs, AFAIR, it's the bucks who have more wins as one time in the playoffs, they dominated the Celtics.

Last two games of Celtics, they always fell short, their opponents will also get a good lead, even cushion and Boston trying to play catch up. Hard to do that every game, specially facing a good team like Bucks in this instance and this is not a good strategy in my opinion. They should have taken the advantage of Giannis having a bad night, Tatum, Smart, Brown and Walker is playing not good basketball or not consistent in their last 4 games.
