Anyone seen the Boston vs Bucks game? It was really tight throughout the game, Giannis just scored 13 points in the game. It was Middleton who carry the team with 27 points. Boston was able to cut down the lead by the Bucks to 2 points and was in the opportunity to even win or tie the game. 1.0 seconds let and Daniel Theis has the opportunity to hit the three, unfortunately he missed it, bad lost for the Celtics.
Bucks got a huge lead from the 3rd quarter and up to the first minutes of the 4th quarter. I thought that they're going to lose this game when Boston got the score near to them.

I wasn't expecting it to be a 2 point lead only when Bucks got a good start. And that was even close, that last shot of Theis, if that went in, Bucks will hard to accept the defeat.

Boston is a good come back team, luckily the bucks survive from that late run scare. That is something they need to improve if they want to have a better result in the playoffs, they failed previously but maybe they have a chance to play the Nets in the ECF, hopefully it will happen and Heat will not upset them.

But they failed on this game, good thing Bucks won this game, that was a tough game for them as Celtics is also a legit team though it struggle a bit. These playoff teams might meet again in the playoffs, AFAIR, it's the bucks who have more wins as one time in the playoffs, they dominated the Celtics.

Give it time.  The NBA loves doing things at the very last possible minute.

I'm reading that Victor Oladipo & Kyle Lowry are also likely suspects to be moved in the next 24 hours with Miami and Boston as rumored destinations for the two previous all stars.  If we don't see some movement in the next 24 hours I would agree with you, but when it comes to the NBA, give them every second because they need it.
It's like a habit.  Grin
They may want to shock us with the trades that will happen.
I am actually waiting where Drummond will be signed. He's the only center out there with a huge possibility to bring back a failing team or help them preserve to be on a playoff spot.
Like Knicks. 22 wins and just 2 wins away from the 9th spot Pacers.

Feels a bit like the night before Christmas. I imagine a lot of NBA players and their families are having a sleepless night tonight. There are a lot of things I am jealous of when it comes to NBA players, but having no control over what city you’ll be spending most of your time in is not one of them.

Now to watch Woj’s Twitter feed for the breaking news.

What a pain watching the game of Nets vs. Utah Jazz. The starting five for Nets wasn't that even strong to face the first 5 of Jazz.  Undecided
I guess that the Nets, they'll try to win the next game against the Pistons.

They got really a huge defeat and couldn't score even more than 100 points. Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving all were absent in this game and of course they were affected very badly because of that. For the Pistons game, Durant still will not play and it is doubtful for Harden and Irving. If they have the same lineup again, they could get another loss even against Pistons which are at the last place in the EC.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but I was checking the score during the first quarter and I said to myself that there's no way that the Jazz are going to lose this one, going to be a massacre.

Yes, they can move on and try to win against the Pistons to go back to the win column again, the question is whether Harden can play or not.

Actually, that was a good game for both teams since they might face together in the NBA Finals if they dominate their respected conferences. They will know what to do with each other when they face each other again. I think Utah Jazz doesn't need to fully adjust their offense since they were doing great. The Brooklyn Nets should adjust everything since they didn't stand a chance with the Utah Jazz Offensive and defensive strategies.

A higher chance he will drop to the Heat but why aim for a guard? Why not a backup center for Adebayo to let him rest more.
They probably plan to replace Dragic with another veteran guard with a ring. Lowry on a Miami Heat uniform sounds about right. He's a team player and I don't see any issues with him blending with Buttler right away.

About centers, who are available on the market?

Harden gives them a pain in the ass, while in the other side, Lilard are being guarded it shows how ready the Nets for him.
Not just normal guarded, heavily guarded. CJ was still cold that night. He may need to heat up first upon coming back from an injury.

Reports: Sixers, Heat in pursuit of Raptors' Kyle Lowry

Sixers? I doubt that because of bad history. Embiid might get furious if ever they will sign him up.

Nets really improve and they continue to show it up, with how Harden leading the team they've got everything they need to counter
They have improved really and with their upcoming match later against Utah Jazz, it's also one of the best teams that we can say this time and also a contender for the title.

Who's your bet?

Their roster is also good as the Nets.

I guess Nets will lose here, here's the latest update that might decrease the chance of the Nets in winning.

https://www.nba.com/news/james-harden-questionable-blake-griffin-out-vs-jazz

Griffin is confirm out, while Harden is questionable, if Harden is out, its automatic that the Jazz will win, that's easy to predict.

Yeah with durant, kyrie, possibly harden and Blake out that will be a tough game for them lol.  They might as well not throw harden out there and let him rest too.  No need to push him when they will be dogs in this game even if he does play.

First we don't know how the chemistry will work if this 4 superstars are in the court but once they manage to handle each of there flows and they are willing to share the basket well most provably Jazz will get a hard time beating Nets on their second game, but for now lets give the credits to Jazz since its a sure win for them since Nets are lacking with stars, Nets doesn't have any answer for the hot shooting of Jazz and guess they will think about good strategy when they face each other with complete star line up.

too bad we can't see how will the jazz counter the super team of the nets, versus the shooting of the jazz, i was hoping they will face each other healthy to measure if the jazz can make it to the finals or west finals, I guess I need to wait, for another matchup by these two teams I can't wait, if these two players can't play then its a sure win for the jazz.

Thanks for that update.

That's a big factor for the Nets if Griffin isn't going to play for this game. That questionable will be found out later on.

I hope that his sore neck would get better on this match so we can see a good matchup against Utah Jazz.

I follow the NBA only on the sidelines but i what i really like about this league is that teams that were weak last season can be really strong in the next season, which is exciting.  Smiley
Just look at the brooklyn nets. I don't think that they were being called a candidate for the NBA title once in the last 10 seasons, but now they are so strong.
The tables of the european football (soccer) leagues are way more consistent in comparison.

You can make an exemption on the Nets as they have a new starters, they have a big 3 (harden, Durant, and Irving), just like the Suns also, they have Chris Paul so they also improve this season. The only team that does not have a lot of stars and we've seen some improvement this season is the NY Knicks.

I agree, after a long-time playoffs drought, they will more likely get to play in the NBA playoffs this year since they already manage to get some spot in the top if nothing will change this few months. New York Knicks has improved since the last season and their players are competitive this year. They don't need another star player in the team cause those guys are enough to win guys with their strong chemistry.
I think I would say that the Knicks are the biggest surprises this season. They started really slow, and just before the all star break, they found their groove and chemistry. And then really blossom as a team, day in day out everyone is giving 100%.

So they are going to a playoff contender now. Sometimes it doesn't need a star player to make the team better, just like what Miami did last year. Julius Randle is having like a second wind on his career.

Trade deadline will be a bit boring this season as it appears. I wasn't really expecting something this boring, the biggest news is PJ Tucker trade and you can definitely get how unimportant that was by naming it PJ Tucker trade. At the end of the day, we are going to see some changes at the off-season but this season teams are not willing to make big moves just yet.

Plus, this is trade "deadline" so that means teams could have made trades beforehand, look at how Harden was traded to Nets and you will realize that teams could have traded whenever they want and they are not trading so deadline may not be a time where teams would make big moves. I wanted something huge, something that would make the news, something that gets at the top page of the reddit, but apparently nothing like that will happen. In any case, teams are settling in nicely, let's see who will win it this year.

Give it time.  The NBA loves doing things at the very last possible minute.
