Harrell was a terrible signing in my opinion. Howard manhandling him the other day proved it.

Drummond was in LA yesterday. They say he has meetings with the Clippers and Lakers while he’s there. They’re also saying he is no longer interested in signing with the Nets.
Yeah, right.
I'd rather pick Howard than Harrell.
It's just because of the 6th man award. If it's a big body and a high flyer needed below the rim, it's still Howard who dominates that field.
Obviously, he had changed his game and we witnessed that during the game against the Nuggets.
I am a Nuggets fan but damn, he did well at that time bullying Jokic and it worked.

Drummond is a free agent now. He can pick what team he wants to join but I think Lakers is not one of them anymore.
The Lebron injury could be the one reason.
Not just bullying Jokic, but he really took out Jokic during their playoff match by playing mind games with him. And it throw Jokic's games completely that's why they're able to move past them very easy. Howard really becoming a veteran and showing his experience not just by playing, but talking thrash. Harrell on the otherhand, simply trying to clean up everything under the ring, but with 7'0 footers really playing old school like Howard or Gobert in the West, will be hard for Harrell to match up with them.

With Rondo traded with the Clippers, what do you think will be the Clippers chances this season?

is it a good decision to trade Willams for Rondo?

Williams is a good 6th man, he can generate points for the team if needed but Rondo is more on managing the play.
Which one is more useful for the team?
If he could bring the same performance as what he did during the Lakers playoffs last year then there is no doubt he is a good addition.
The thing is, he was never given a good amount of minutes ever since he became a back up pointguard.
Maybe now he could contribute more if given the chances by Tyronn Lue to use him more.
Besides, they really lack a playmaker and Rondo will be a good choice.

Lou was helpful bench offense but I think Clippers are aiming for a different purpose.

Guys, I'm a little bit out of what's going on in the NBA.

Does anyone know if Andre Drummond will actually go to the Lakers? And will LaMarcus Aldridge go to the Heat? What are the possibilities for this to happen?

If Drummond plays for the Lakers, can they be so competitive to beat the Nets?

Drummond was just bought out by the Cavs and is now a free agent. He could sign with the Lakers anytime now, and I expect we’ll hear something in the next few days if not later today. The likely landing place is with the Lakers, but there are other suitors involved, including the Nets.

Yes, most likely Lakers and Nets are going to be Drummond next team. It was said that he has a meeting with the Lakers management, but we don't know anything about it for now. So still a guessing game whether he will be a Lakers or not.

He will be definitely a good addition to the slumping Lakers, Harrell can't be a true center. Just like their game against the Philly's Howard block his shot.

I think he was not really meant to be a center as we all know that he was really undersized for that position, and with that I will say that it was not a terrible signing for the Lakers. What the worst signing for them is Gasol, true center, decent rebounds and outside shot, but he under performed now gets injured. If there will be one for the Lakers or in the league today, Gasol will be the worst acquisition of the year.

Hmm, this is very interesting!
If Drummond goes to the Lakers or Nets, I'm sure he will make a big difference!

If Drummond goes to the Lakers he will make a good pair with Davis - PF Davis, C Drummond
But, if Drummond goes to the Nets, practically that team can be "" unbeatable ""

if what will happen is Drumond will sign with the nets, there will be no balance in the NBA, and for me, it will be a boring Finals for the east and the finals between east and west because we already know the result, they are just now chasing championship before retiring, and I don't like that they just want an easy one, that will not be amazing .

Howard will never go down without a fight because he still wants to prove himself on the court. He said that in an interview that when he was on Lakers, he really worked hard to like be able to play with high end players like AD and LeBron, seeing those two was like something sparked within Howard so he is still improving himself up to now even though his prime was years before. He wants to be a player who can provide great efficiency within the paint because some big mans are really dominant.
It looks like nobody appreciated his efforts in the Lakers. I remember he was even expecting to get a more profitable contract for several years after the end of the previous season, but, as we know, he got a 1-year contract with a minimum salary. Sure he wants to dominate on the court like before, but injuries greatly affected his game, and as a result, this season is the worst of his career.

I'm not sure about these, I don't really follow the most detailed information, I'm just waiting for a successful trade news and no news for these 2 giants yet.

If Drummond plays for the Lakers, can they be so competitive to beat the Nets?

They can, they will be better as they have a strong inside presence that is the problem of the Nets, but if Nets will land Drummond as what I have read before as part of the speculation, then I think Lakers will have a problem, or any time that will try to stay in the way of the Nets.

Did the Nets still have that cap to offer for Drummond? Oh wow imagine if they'll able to land him instead of going / moving to Lakers
that's really a very big addition literally to the team.

We never know what will happened until there's no confirmation between those teams who shows interest to sign him, but for sure
it's a good decision for him whichever team he pick and play as both are contenders for the title.

I think Drummond is more useful than Lowry in the Lakers roster, they need a big man like him, hopefully they can sign him soon but the trade deadline is over I guess, and I don't know how they'll be able to sign him but hopefully they can acquire him, if not this season, then next season.

Anyone sees the 76ers vs Lakers game?

Did you like what Howard was doing? lol.. he will never grow old, he wants to make fight in the court to anyone, 76ers are lucky to have him as they have someone who can bring some important energy on the floor.

Howard and Green also received their championship ring, congrats to them and congrats to the win.
Lakers on 3 losing streak now.
The game was close.

I have no comments with Howard. The game was done and it's just another sad day for the Lakers while Howard, Green and the Phila gang got a good game and day.

Have you seen the video? if not, you should watch the replay on how Howard pissed Harrell but he still ended up getting ejected due to 2 technical fouls. It's just fun to watch him destroying other players rhythm , his role with the Lakers before was brought against the Lakers. lol
I've seen it mate.

That utterly destroyed Harrell's momentum for that dunk but I have no comments as said because he's known for that.

I hope that next time he'll be cooler and chiller when the court gets hotter when he's in and pissing off a player.

I think this is a good place for him to retire, Lou will not play too hard anymore, he knows he has zero ring chance now, he had that with clippers but no longer. Rondo is a multiple time champion and he has the chance to actually play great on playoffs, playoff rondo is a thing people joke about, I believe clippers made the right choice by acquiring him.

I am not saying Lou was a bad player, but during playoffs you need someone who can go another level and bring you success, last year they were terrible to lose a 7 game series when they could win, and that is why I think it was obvious for Clippers to change some things, they lost Harrel to their biggest rivals as well, so they might as well get some in return, even if it was via Atlanta. I believe this turned out to be a great trade for them, Hawks will not be gaining much from this for sure.

LaMarcus Aldridge - Bought out by Spurs - Free Agent

Kyle Lowry - remained a Raptor. (Summer free agent)

James Johnson and Wesley Iwundu (Mavs) traded for JJ Redick and Nicolo Mell (Pelicans). Now Mavs has a veteran and also a sharpshooter.

Norman Powell (Raptors) traded for Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood (Trail Blazers)

3 team deal:
76ers acquired George Hill and Iggy Brazdeikis
Thunders acquired Austin Rivers and Tony Bradley
Knicks acquired Terrance Ferguson, Emir Preldzic, and Vincent Poirier

Bulls acquired Vucevic and Aminu in exchange for Otto Porter, Wendell Carter, and 2 first-round picks.
Celtics also acquired Fournier from Magic in exchange for a couple of 2nd round picks.

Magic is rebuilding trading both their offensive players.

I believe that the only winner here is the Bulls because they are getting Vucecic, yes he is an two time all star and still putting up great stats. He can be very consistent when given a load of playing time and would really fit well with the Bulls current starters. Lavine would really get help with those drives specially seeing Vucevic would set the pick and rolls.

Sixers acquiring Hill was also a great move because having a champion on a team can really boost morale and sharing his knowledge with young ones is very special when we are seeing 76ers as a contender for the chip.

I saw this news today and I wish to see the improvement after this trade. Bulls isn't strong as this season started and would like to see them go up in the rankings since this trade has been done.

I think why Lowry was not traded for the Lakers is that Toronto is asking too much, THT, Harrell and Dennis Schröder. I think Raptors is asking too much.

Lakers understand the value of their assets, they'll not going to any deal that they won't gain any compensation. If Raptors are asking for this two players for getting Lowry which is no longer at his prime.

Lowry might add good offensive stuff but they don't need it that much once LeBron and AD are there to work for them, maybe that's why the deal didn't materialize.

Raptors will keep him till summer and have his free agency, let see if who will sign him up after this season.

I'm afraid Lowry will not be effective in the Lakers, he is a born point guard and we know who is playing the point guard with the Lakers. Lowly deserve to be in a team that could help him utilize his talent and for sure that is not the Lakers, sorry but I'm not happy it the trade could have happen.

That would be a shame for Lakers if they are wanting to acquire Lowry and they will not give them a role to help the team in winning. Lebron might be playing the PG but they could change their game plan once another star player will join the team, but its Raptors just ask too much and Lakers are not stupid to gamble Lowry which is not anymore getting any younger.
