I took the Nuggets to upset the Lakers tonight. I think Jokic has been playing great recently and it's always tough traveling to Denver.
Sadly to say that they've loss in the overtime, AD and LeBron's combo manage to snatced this game from the Nuggets, The power duo
bring the game in their shoulders to lift the entire team in winning this game.
It's almost a good catch for you if Nuggets manage to continue the rally from the third period, but Lakers able to catch up and win.

Few days ago Forbes released an article regarding NBA teams value. Knicks are still at the top with team being valued at 4.6 billion USD , 5th year in a row, followed by Lakers (4.4 billion USD) and Warriors (4.3 billion USD). Here is the full list:

.
Source

Few takes:
  • Despite being bad so many years, i guess it's  not affecting Knicks value much. Might be  the reason why their owner doesn't really care much whether he wins or loose as he keeps generating profit from Knicks. There are rumours though that Knicks are trying to get Masai Ujiri from Raptors for the GM position.
  • 30 NBA teams generated 8.8 billion USD revenue, 10% increase from previous year
  • On average, each  team had  $70 million operating profits. Only 1 team generated loss, Oklahoma City Thunder, due luxury tax (-23 million USD)
  • Since 2010, an average value of NBA went up 6x (no team was valued over 1 billion USD), growing at much higher rate than other professionals sports in US.

All in all, seems like NBA is doing great.

In the other news, Lillard got injured last night in the loss against Grizzlies, and  will miss All Star game. It will be interesting to see who will get the invitation instead of him, might be DEvin Booker, he has been very good this season. Or maybe even Beal/ George. For 3 pts contest i would like to see Bogdanovic invited instead of him.

Jokic was out matched by Davis down the stretch and overtime. Jokic is a good center offensively, and I think he needs to improve on the defensive end. That what separates him from AD.
Good job by the Nuggets anyway not giving up and easy win against the number 1 in the West.
He was because he seem to look so tired in the game and at the same time he loss his focus as he was disappointed on the calls, in fact in this game he was in foul trouble.. not only Davis did a great job on him but Howard as well.

I noticed that too, specially how he executed the last play that could potentially tie the game or bring the lead down to one. He should've took the three right?
But overall the Nuggets just did a good job against the Lakers even if they are missing 3 of the most important pieces of the team in MPJ, Barton, and Plumlee.

He had a lot of turnover in the game that's why they lose, if I am not mistaken, their record now is 2-1.. Lakers won both games in Denver while Denver beat the Lakers on the road but that was the time when Lebron was sitting.

That was a good game between the Lakers and the Nugggets.
Indeed because the game went into OT and Nuggets did not give up the game easily, potential playoff match up which we have witness.

I'm betting tomorrow for Wizards against Knicks.
Hehe.

This was the game that I'm asking you guys yesterday and that was a victory for the Wizards. I think I'm starting to have an idea to bet with this kind of team rather than the known ones.

But, there's no guarantee win on it.

Good job, try to do experiment and keep winning, sometimes it's good to make your own unique way of choosing the games.

For me, I choose games which I believe I can see a value to win, regardless if it's a popular game or not.

Just to be safe I am still going for a little handicap.
Denver Nuggets +1.5 @ 2.09 money line. I think that is not a bad deal.
There is a normal one though with 2.23 at the money. What will you take?
Lakers are on the lead now, per my book.. Denver is already +6.5 live now.

How about the Celtics game against the Clippers?
Clippers @ 2.02, I will add this one on my bets.
At home I like the Celtics, they had a bad game against the Rockets, I think they are ready for a win and they will bounce back hard.
Looks like Jaylen Brown is still not gonna play - https://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/nba/player/30298/jaylen-brown

Great. They are at 4 winning streak after winning against the Spurs and they rested quite well too.

Same sentiments and which i do fully agree. Why would say that they arent performing the same neither have or doesnt have Kawhi into their team?
You can really see their perseverance on each play and as said they are top 2 in the East and still saying that they arent minding much or do perform well
on regular season? Its somewhat contradictory i shall say.

Raptors cared more about the regular season this season compared to last year IMO because they are in a mission to prove that they are still a great team even without their best player, last year, they are struggling when Leaonard is under "load management" so they are more reliant on Leonard that time but this time, they are better as a team as everyone are scoring.

Exactly, and fore sure everyone noticed that this year, they are playing as if nothing had happened to the team. Of course, Kawhi has departed, but they are still performing very strong with Siakam (new contract worth hundreds of millions) and Fred VanVleet also playing very well.

Even the NBA media is so quiet about it, we won't heard anything from the Kawhi departure, so it means that no one from the Raptors players and management are affected, if they are, they look at the bright side (winning a championship with Kawhi).

Raptors are not doing "better" this year compared to last year, they didn't really cared about the regular season last year, they kind of do right now.

Surely players Lika Lowry or maybe Ibaka etc do not care, didn't care last year and not now neither, however players like Siakam or FVV who are doing very well and they are working hard because they did really showed themselves last year on playoffs but they really had to step up and keep showing the same value this year as well otherwise they would have been players who once played well for a while, now they are stars in their team.

Long story short raptors are not suddenly better, no team could ever disregard a superstar like Kawhi and be better, they are just playing better without Kawhi compared to times last year where they played without Kawhi, otherwise on playoffs the missing of Kawhi will show itself very much.

I don't know why people are thinking that the Toronto Raptors don't care about there season this year just because they don't have Kawhi Leonard this year or maybe because they are not making any noise compared to last year. I mean they are the second best team in the East and they are actually playing the same way like any team in the East who want's to compete aside from that they are not resting their players too long and they are actually starting their best players in every game as long as they are healthy. If they don't care about the regular season at all they'll just be like the Warriors tanking their way in the first round pick but they aren't, they are trying to win games in the regular season and you can see it on how they play.

I know they are that kind of team but just for the sake of betting. A small amount wouldn't matter to me because I just want to watch this game and bet on it or simply bet on it without watching.

Thanks for showing that thread.

Well, then you should try betting more games on the board.. I also would like to recommend to bet on the over since both teams have a pretty bad record now and they are so unpredictable, if only Wizards would be playing at home I would pick them but they are on the road now after playing the bulls and win. Maybe if you try to look at the fatigue factor, you'll take the home team here as Wizards are playing a back to back games.
Thank you for that insight.

It's helpful to have such insights like this although the match isn't of the favorites of bettors like the other guy has mentioned. It's funny to see such bets that doesn't really like by others but for someone like me, I think it is fine to bet sometimes with this kind of games.

That impact the game since fatigue might exhaust them while playing against the home team. Adding to that, both teams don't have any chance to proceed to second round it's really unpredictable if which is which will perform better.
If you are still interested just like what you have said, betting with small amount and try your luck would be fine.

Betting for or against Raptors have been one of the most inconsistent things in the past 2-3 years. When Lebron was in east and Raptors played against him you knew that Lebron would prevail, every time they faced it was like "this is the time we beat him!!" and every year they were wrong. So last year when a team like warriors who would easily beat Raptors normally faced them, the amount of people who wagered on "warriors take the series" was waaaay too high, even with some misses they were still by far better. Of course we know what happened afterwards and now they are the last champions. Same goes for this year, everyone assumed they would be either tanking or rebuilding or basically do something but than what happened? They are as good as last year or maybe even better on regular season (playoffs has to be seen yet).
