It's a human nature actually, we change our way of living depending on what we earn.
We are not all born rich so we want to experience the power of money when we have it by doing everything we want, you are right, they work
for it so they deserve to enjoy the reward.

One of the best jobs here in this world is being a professional Athlete. You are having fun at the same time you are being paid as long as you will be giving a great performance in your team.

They deserve what they have. They sacrificed a lot of things so that they would be able to attain what they had now. Also, if you don't know there are a lot of Athletes that help poor people, NBA has NBA Cares and if you don't know that well, at least you know now. NBA created a lot of outreach programs, not only them, even players, from a lot of places now so I think they really deserved what they have now.
That's how great this league was able to deliver, they are just silently doing charities including superstars individually, though it's not that much out from their respective salaries aside from those sponsors and commercials, they do deserve what they've got as it is not that easy to be selected and able to play from this league, a lots of inspiring individuals who wanted to played but only few who got the chance and enjoy the success.

That is right. Playing in that league I think is one of the hardest things to keep if you will not be valuing it. A lot of athletes out there struggles on their trainings, their exercises and their diets just to keep their bodies and skills developed every time. It is essential to them not only as an athlete but also as a player since Basketball has a lot of physical contacts going on in a game.

I've used to be a fan of the NBA but not anymore.  The league is filled with entitled crybabies that make  over 10mil per year.  They go out and buy rolls royce cars and mansions while their own city has homeless people.
It's their money so they are entitled to whatever they want to purchase.

They've worked hard for it so what's the matter if they are buying rolls royce, lambo's or any luxury that they want? this is why most of the athlete's are investing through hard training so they can make easy money with their chosen sport. And same goes for NBA athlete's, their trainings and the hole that they entered before reaching that salary isn't an easy thing. Fame, fortune, follows due to the hard work and result of the training and performance.

They deserve it.

Human nature or not, you are living to another state which you can avail almost everything because your contract is now high, if you are a professional athlete whether in basketball (NBA) or any other sport. People who are worrying and talks about the homeless people aren't even taking the notice that these professionals are helping those less fortunate without even publishing on medias.

Its not their responsibility to feed the homeless people. They worked hard for what they have achieved. I remember there are number of NBA players who has been abandoned by their family, came from the poor family, and others cant even afford college without scholarships.
Are you not informed that NBA has charity, including individual NBA superstars have it. But, they cannot cover all the homeless people from their country.
If you dont like NBA anymore, then you are not forced to like it. NBA is a business after all.

Correct. But what he said at the first part may be true.
They are getting more sensitive now when it comes to physicality.
Worse is they want too muuch respect rather than do defense until the end of the game.

Remember that time last year when Clarkson threw the ball to a Utah player for dunking the ball at the last second of the game.

If you dont want others to get points then do defense.
They should really erase that kind of system with this players.
The game is still on and anyone can do anything as long as it is in the rule book.
That is just their own rule of showing respect but should not be happening. That is why most viewers are exiting the building once there is 20 point lead in and there is still 2 minutes of gametime.

I understand its just preseason but seeing players like ingram giving their %100 is hyping me out. I mean we know lakers would have to get a drastic change in the direction get even close to the western conference let alone finals because they will have to face teams like okc, rockets, spurs and of course warriors just to get there but if they are lucky about the seeding they can definitely get to western semi finals and that is an amazing chance for the young players to develop on playoffs.

They had these young players for couple years now but failed to get to playoffs so with lebron and the new vets these kids will see playing time at the biggest stage of the game.

Lakers young guys must give their 100% even for a pre season game because they are watched closely by the veterans and their performance will be the basis on how much Luke Walton will give them playing time on the court. It's a good chance to show how good they are now and Lakers can really rely on them on a dead ball situation.

I believed Lakers will reached playoffs. Not chances but it will happened.

It is their salary so they can buy what they want and what do you mean in "Entitled Crybabies"Huh They have worked hard for it practicing every day, being far away from their family for the training. Spending their time playing basketball and nobody will prohibit them into what they will do with their own money. One more there is NBA CARE that they are going into various places seeing children and helping them.

Exactly you are being paid and at the same time enjoy the lots of benefits specially if you are a something special or you are above the rest. I'm sure that a lot of athletes knows how to get back at the people who help them achieved what they're right now so I have no doubts that they are really giving a lot of help to those people or even the whole community itself, they aren't selfish its not the question on how they're going to help.

I really don't get your point here.

Are you saying that NBA players need to help or feed homeless people in their city? I'm sure that some of them are doing some great things in their community and it was not reported.

But for me its not a obligation though, we don't care if they bought expensive cars because they can afford it. You can go and email Bill Gates and Warren Buffet as well and tell them to feed everyone with their billions. Your argument is totally flawed, just saying.

Yay, we lost a valuable NBA fan Lol cry me a river. I didn't get why though ...because they're making a lot of money; they choose to spend the money the way they want, or because there are poor/homeless people in the world?

I'm genuinely interested to know who are those 'entitled crybabies' you are talking about. haha

I would also argue that NBA players from all pro sports in America are among those who give the most back to their communities.

LeBron James is really a big deal that even he is on a *"weaker"* team now, they are still on hot seat. Enough of LeBron and put some other spices in their writings. Again people are not really expecting for Lakers to be in finals but still they it's like they considering it as a threat because of LeBron.

What do you want? Players should give every people houses? Didn't you know that majority of NBA players are donating to charity and even have some own charity. There is also a NBA CARES wherein the organization is doing some outreach for general causes.

Even with LeBron James, the Lakers will miss the NBA playoffs this season. Here’s why.

All I can say is, the pointers are good and have an interesting details.

HOWEVER.. it's really early to say that. The article pointed out that Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, OKC and Spurs seems to be the top 4 and Lakers, Nuggets, Pelicans, Timberwolves, Blazers and Clippers will be fighting each other at last 3 slot (top 6 to Cool. How sure they was these teams will maintained the position? I mean they only based this standings from the last season's record which is not a good basis for now since some teams did some revamp to their respective lineup.

But honestly it's not really surprisingly for me if Lakers will end up out on the playoffs. LeBron landed on a team that is not even a finals contender so I don't really understand why people are all eyes in Lakers and they really spend time to work on an article like that. Smiley Looks like those who are saying that Lakers will not be able to stand strong on the West are really considering Lakers as a threat.

Okay that made me laugh a little.
Are they really following all the trades that had happened?

You are right. They are basing on what happened last year. Why not Lakers and yet Spurs and will be there? They lose Kawhi too and ended up getting DeRozan who made a lot of errors in the playoffs.
They did not even look at Pelicans who might have lost Rondo but they still have Davis. How about Dallas too?

They are just doing it for something to write without real basis.
That is Lebron James in there. The Lebron James whom I think is not aging.  Grin

Are they basing at pre-season games?  That will be a good joke though.

Who's watching now Q3 of Lakers vs Sacramento Kings? No hate with any of the team or with our superstars.

I just want to share that it still gives me a strange feeling watching Lebron with that jersey.  Smiley

Well, I'll get used to it soon.

It is weird at first but I guess you people should be used to it. As his fans, you should also support his decions and actions also, you can't do anything about it really.

Also, I am surprised to the jersey of them when I first watched their first game. I agree it is like a vintage jersey as said on the earlier posts here. It kinds of bring me back to the old Lakers I grow old to. Missing Shaq and Kobe together at that team and at the same court.
I'm not really arguing with his decision but I'm just having this type of feeling since we used to watch him play with his old jersey for a very long time. Yeah, I'll get used to it whenever there's a new game from him and my eyes would realize that its him wearing new jersey until his contract ends or would extend with LAL.

This match is a serious game, the scores now are so close to each other. Last 1 min.
