The Houston rockets are creating the best record ever!

And chances are they'll have the best record in the regular season, and they'll have home-court advantage in the playoffs.

It's been a fantastic season for Houston!

Well having a best record is nothing if you don't win the championship ring. Just recently Warriors did the same (73-9/2015-2016, beating their opponents and dominating them. And then they face James and the Cavs, losing at the end, and setting another record as well, became the first team in NBA history to give up a 3–1 lead in the Finals.  Grin

So for me, if Houston choke at the playoffs remain to be seen. Of course its better to be the top seed in the East to gain homework advantage, but if you lose at the end then there's nothing to be proud of your record breaking season without a ring on your finger.

I am a Great fan of Golden state warriors, but I also Like some players from Cavaliers, Like Irving which was transfered to other team so How sad, Irving was the Big Loss of Cavaliers. However This two teams are my expectation in the 2018 finals, but it's a 70-30% chance, I don't even know if they are going to make it in the Finals. Harden is shaking his ass well, but still Hoping to see Golden State Warriors in the finals.

Everybody is talking about the Houston rockets being the only threat to the golden state warriors to go to the finals , it is true that they are a strong team and definitely a big candidate for west conference championship but it's not the only pretender with the warriors , Oklahoma with Russell Westbrook , Paul George , Carmelo Anthony and other good players are a team to take it very seriously , I saw their last game against Toronto and they where just amazing . I think this will be Russell Westbrook revenge season against Kevin Durant . Let's wait and see . It will full of suspense .

Not in playoffs game yet, I think every team that has secured playoffs ticket not take remaining regular season games too seriously to avoid injury so we will not see dogfight game for the rest of regular season.

Wrong. They must fight for a win until the end because it was counted on their respective "goals" and "expectations".

I will give you some of a good reasons:

-do you think a team that is expected on a 7th or 8th spot will not try to avoid the 1st spot or something like that?
-do you think a team that is expected on a 1st or 2nd spot will not maintained their position at the standing? like above question.
-do you think a team is not chasing for a homecourt advantage?

Make sense. Smiley

Yes there is some strategy in there.
They will be forced to play hard just so to get a spot where they will be playing a team with a chance of winning.
Rivalries, you will try to avoid this and aim for the team where you can match up your players with.
This is too deep, but coaches knows this also because of the scouts that keeps on feeding them information into which would be the best they should play against for a higher chance to go to the 2nd round.

Houston is going to rock.
Raptors might actually make it past the first round of the playoffs. Cheesy
Before the coming in of the playoffs there are no talks about Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors but now there are some who are making some noise about these two. Well we can't blame you guys base on their current standing they do really have the chance to make it. Rivals Cavs and GSW seems to be in danger but still, let's wait who will be the final in ticket.

This year is a season of opposites.
Golden state sucks.
Cleveland sucks.
San antonio is not stable at winning games.
Portland looks decent.
Houston is going to rock.
Raptors might actually make it past the first round of the playoffs. Cheesy

Raptors are going to the finals this year. No bought haha.

Looks like denvers chances are over. Losing to Memphis and now can't wake up to beat Miami. They are done
Too early for raptors being favored into the finals, we knew that boston and cavs still a team to compete, though they played so well and being number  1
are assuring them to the next round, the league are really fun now to watch as teams really improved and showing their desire to be able to advance to
the next round, the finals will be more unpredictable with rockets and raptors showing the lead at the opposite sides.
At this point, the Raptors are really the good team but if Love can come back in the playoffs, the cavaliers has a better chance to win.
I know Celtics is also a threat but I do not really count them that much in the east, my prediction would only be between the Cavaliers and the Raptors.

I think you didn't watch last night games because guess who's back , Kevin love , first time after his injury , he played very good game against Milwaukee with respectful statistics , 18 points , 7 rebounds and 4 assists , good defence with a block I think , he was the second best player of the Cavs team after the king LeBron James off course with 40 points triple double . I think you should consider the Cleveland Cavaliers back again to be the favorite to go to the finals after Kevin love comeback if he manage to play with this same level .
Yeah, Kevin Love is back but still on it's limited minutes.
The return is very timely because playoffs is already in the air and if he can play more he will get back to his old self maybe
before the playoff will start, the only problem is that love is not that good in defense, that is his weakness IMO.

I truly believe that Portland should be considered as a big threat to the golden state warriors in the playoffs , it's really crazy in the western conference this year , we have Oklahoma thunder , Portland , Minnesota , the spurs with kawhi , the Houston rockets and the warriors , all those teams are a real candidate for coming up from this conference , I can't wait for the playoffs , it will be fun .

2018 Champions will be, either Houston Rockets or Golden State Warriors. The most powerful teams in the West, even in the league as a whole. No doubt they will be in the Western Conference Finals if they are the first or the second seed. Tongue
You are looking only with those teams. Try to open your eyes and see which team is leading the Eastern Conference. In West, you can also look with up to top 4.
i think that the Rockets are showing similarities in pace to what the Warriors did back in 2014 it is very impressive from them and sometimes you questions yourself on how they continue to steamroll all these teams that are trying to secure a play off spot on the road, but at the end I suspect nothing less then 60 wins will be too disappointing for their fans and their campaign. While the warriors could easily to 70 wins or even close to 75 if they had full healthy team . Now I share your opinion on how good Rockets are but they are up against one of most dominant teams ever  just tough luck now with having said that if Curry and Durant out I still think warriors should get it though it will be close.

Well see if Rockets can coup up with Warrior or Spurs or other team on west on play off.Rockets are playing good but we cannot make sure if they go to final there are many hindrance on west team that are really tough.

Maybe some fans would not like this outcome but  I notice that it's always either Golden State Warriors who will win or  any team where Lebron James is currently playing for.
That is not always, the Cavaliers were once became a champion and beat the warriors at their home court.
If we based at the current performance of the cavaliers, we can tell that they have a little chance but when playoffs comes, the intensity
will be high and it will be more about adjustments after adjustments.

But not this year. I think that Lebron will miss the finals for this year because Cavaliers are not that strong this year. Although the new roster has somewhat blended, they encounter difficulty and with players getting injured, I doubt that they can make it to even the semis.

Don't sleep on Toronto.
They're playing pretty good this season. They are definitely going to the finals.
I don't see the Cavs doing something in the playoffs, sorry LeFlop.

I agree. Toronto is legit this year in my opinion. Although they just lost, but they have been pretty solid all throughout and I won't be surprise if they win the East conference and even go as far as fighting for a NBA ring this year.
