Trae Young had 38 points, 13 assists, and an ice cold game winner (3 points) as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Boston Celtics! People keep on saying Trae Young is overrated, but he did a good job forcing a game 6.

Today's Game: Denver Nuggets eliminate the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Phoenix Suns eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Congratulations to the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets for advancing to the second round. Which team do you think will advance in the next round of the playoffs?

In the matches played last night, Phoenix and Denver dominated their opponents and got a play-off visa with a score of 4-1. I think the surprise result of the night was the game played between Boston and the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta beat Boston 117-119 away and made the series 3-2. The field advantage is still in Boston's hands. The top scorer of the match was Trae Young. Boston is the team that gets the play-off visa.

Lucky? So you are saying that the Lakers are just lucky that they won against the Grizzlies? What are you saying?

They're just a better team than the Grizzlies, and it wasn't luck that's the reason they won. Many are rooting for the Grizzlies to win against the Lakers because of how impressive they played in the regular season, but remember that the Grizzlies doesn't have Adams, and Clarke to help JJJ defend the paint. It would be a different outcome if those 2 are there to help the team.

Since the Lakers lead 3-1 in this series, they are definitely better than the Grizzlies. However, it's worth mentioning that they made a lot of mistakes in the 4th quarter. There were 5-6 minutes left when Davis got a technical foul for a 3-second violation, then Russell fouled, Schroder made a bad pass turnover, and Davis got an offensive foul again. All of this happened in literally 40 seconds and led to the Grizzlies leading by 7 points. That's why I said the Lakers were lucky to win that game because if Russell hadn't made those three-pointers, they probably would have lost.

the scariest part is that he spoke very calmly as if he really didn't care about le bron, I even thought he had been knocked over the head before the interview. lebron is much older than him and he should respect a player the size of lebron who is a living legend, who has a great solid career, while he is still very young compared to lebron, it was sad to see that a journalist laughed at these words from Dillon Brooks because he found it funny, anyway I didn't find this interview funny at all
The journalist find it funny maybe, but Lebron took that interview seriously, and I guess it's obvious in their previous 2 games that he really took it personally. Well, "Dynasty" Brooks after that lose in Game 4 didn't want to have an interview. What a player. I wonder how his actions in the past days will haunt him if they will lose against the Lakers.

As for the Lakers, a team who is struggling to at least enter the play-in tournament in the start to mid of the season, to ending up getting the 7th seed going to the playoffs to now a win away from going into the 2nd round. It's just an amazing roller coaster season for them.

What a game that was between Hawks and the Celtics. I didn't expect them to recover to be honest. It looks like Live by the "Trae" and die by the "Trae" was their mantra for game 5 hehe. He's the only one shooting in the last three minutes if I'm not mistaken.

Wolves vs. Nuggets is also close.
2 games, both have been decided thru a three point shot. One team shot the three, and forced a Game 6 while the other team missed the three, and now they are eliminated. It's good to see 2 games within the same day that the result has been decided by a three point. It's just unlucky that the Timberwolves didn't force a Game 6 because of that missed shot by Edwards, and you can see the frustration on him as he ran into the locker room.

Playoff Booker! Damn! He dominated the 3rd quarter to lift the team and put a big lead on the scoreboard. But, kudos to the Clippers team too, Westbrook, Powell, Batum, Mann, and Plumlee. These guys even undermanned put the game in as close as 2 point deficit. That was amazing and I bet the Suns were rattled a bit before they can win the game. Booker was even forced to just put the ball in the paint and expect a foul to be called just to stop the bleeding.
The Suns' fans were also astounded by what happened and they just stood there waiting for their team to come back to life.
If there was something good that happened to the Clippers in this year's playoffs, it's Westbrook starting to regain his old self. I mean he isn't, and will not be the same Westbrook again many years ago, but it's pretty obvious that he played very well on this playoffs, except on Game 1, and this Game 5. He's a garbage on that games, but on Games 2-4, he's just amazing.

Good game for the Clippers as they are now eliminated from the playoffs. I will follow what they will do after this season's run, and what they will do with Kawhi and PG13 knowing that they are both out during the playoffs because of injuries (Kawhi played only 2 games). Booker on the other hand was just unstoppable.

The problem that I see with the Suns is depth. KD played 44 minutes, Booker played 41 minutes. They will be facing the Nuggets in the second round. How will the Suns adjust when both of these superstars are playing an average of 40 mins. The depth of the Nuggets are deep as well as they have role players who are effective in some ways. For the Suns, they are lacking of role players. KD and Booker can't afford to play an average of 40 mins every game. The role players needs to step up.

it was disrespectful and like you, I really don't see why the interviewer was laughing about it, for me the Memphis Grizzlies is a hated team because of what Dillon "Dynasty" Brook was saying, and in a recent Ja "Almost" Morant issue about the gun flashing incident it is not a good image for the Grizzlies, And because of this some teammates are taking up some of their attitude like Desmond "Blame" Bane that is recently blaming Lebron James of their lost, because Lebron James Scored 22 Points and 20 Rebounds on the Grizzlies,

I hope they gonna win this series because the Bucks are not really in the mood to win the championship this year because Giannis is not a hundred percent OK and Jimmy Butler's playoffs mode is activated right now and they might gonna rally sooner and jump to the next round after they successfully win this last game. If that happened, surely the best match possible is against the Knicks because they are also surprisingly winning the series as well, and playing the next round with the Heat will surely test their skills.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is 75% injury prone this season since November 5, 2022, was the start of Antetokounmpo got injured, commonly injury was his knee, right knee, some wrist, hand, and back, was the cause of his if not absence he will just play a couple of minutes, this is really crucial to the team they are near the championship doorway and if a main player has got a large percentage of getting injured, then it is not good for them getting to the finals,

If Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies and then Bucks losing to the Heat, this could be one season wherein the number 1 in the East and number 2 in the West will be knockout in the first round (I could be wrong though). Specially the Bucks, no one thought that the Miami Heat will give them problems. But when Giannis got injured, it was a different series all along as the Heat took control of series from the beginning.

As for the Memphis, too much trash talking against Lebron and it back fired on them if they are going to lose against the Lakers in the first round.
And we wouldn't forget this statement from Ja Morant??

So much for Ja "Almost" Morant being a meme again this season for me the Grizzlies are now a laughing stock in the NBA and no wonder it will still stay this way if the Los Angeles Lakers could win and take out the Memphis Grizzlies that are in the upper seed they will surely become the great meme on the eyes on their fans and the people, No Wonder Dillon "Dynasty" Brooks is trash talking so much and committing illegal moves on the court he surely wants the spotlight for the most hated player in the NBA,

I love all three games today. All the teams that are behind are not letting it become an easy game for the leading team.
2 advanced in the 2nd round while the Celtics vs Hawks will continue in Game 6 at Atlanta. Trae Young managed to shoot a prayer for other players but normal to him.  Grin

Looking like the Boston Celtics are going to be sending the Atlanta Hawks fishing tonight. They’re up by more than 10 in the third now and Atlanta seems to be accepting their fate. First game of elimination night looks like we may have our first elimination. Next up will be the Nuggets trying to put away the Timberwolves for the season.

Yeah, it seems like that way, Celtics is leading 10 already in the 3rd quarter and it looks like the Hawks are going to fade in this series, so 4-1 for the Celtics.

Gonna be interesting game though between the Suns and the Clippers. Although LA doesn't have their 2 best players, Phoenix shouldn't underestimate them in this game. Booker should put this one away and we need another great performance from him to also end the series.

This is the NBA!! Hawks up one with 10 seconds to go.  You gotta watch the games cause you never know which ones will get ya.  Imagine atlanta wins and goes back to Atlanta for game 6.  I need to see at least one game 7.  I'm rooting foe the Hawks here even as a knicks fan.  This 4th quarter has been amazing.

That was crazy! They might be the sole survivors of the night. We’ll see. Denver managed to finish off the Timberwolves and Phoenix has a strong lead over the Clippers going into the fourth quarter. A shame the Clippers didn’t have Paul George and Kawhi Leonard but being healthy seems to be the most important trait for an NBA player these days.

Ice Cold Trae Young became the man who destroyed Boston. What kind of buzzer beater was that? Everyone expected Boston to finish the series in this game. Bookmakers didn't even give odds for the Boston win. It seemed so guaranteed. But Atlanta managed to extend the series. It was a super excited match.
I watched the game and I really liked how the Hawks played because despite missing Murray, they didn't give up easily. Although the Boston Celtics were controlling the game, Trae Young was just too clutch and handled the Celtics with his hot 3-point shooting.

It's all about Ice Trae Young!

Now we're watching the Clippers - Suns game. The Suns want to end the series in this game. The Clippers have a tough job because their stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are still missing. I think the Clippers managed to balance the game, but they'll be settled at the end of the game and the Suns will finish it tonight. Booker started the game very well. Phoenix plays very casually.

This is the last push for the Suns to beat the Clippers on their home court. Westbrook had his moments as he's now the leader of the team. The game is close, so it's hard to tell which team will win.

Specially the Bucks, no one thought that the Miami Heat will give them problems. But when Giannis got injured, it was a different series all along as the Heat took control of series from the beginning.
For the Bucks-Heat, they faced each other 3 times already in the last 3-4 season I guess (back in the bubble). Point is both teams know each others' strengths, and weaknesses, and there hasn't been that much change when it comes to their roster, so I think that the Heat just knows how to stop the Bucks even though they have Giannis.

Bucks can't stop Butler, not even Holiday which is their best defender in the team. Like I said, that would be very disappointing not for them, but for their fans as well if the Bucks will get defeated by the 8th seeded Heat.

This could end up being an incredibly boring night.  I predict one of these teams comes out and straight wins on the road as dogs.  I'm hoping at least.  Otherwise going to be some lean nights with no games.  I'd like to see one of these series go longer than 5 games.  Been some good games but terrible series.  All blowout series.
Nope.
All 3 home teams will win tonight against their opposing teams. Celtics might close this one out, and so as the Nuggets and the Phoenix. I guess I'll congratulate them as early as now. My prediction is no road team will win tonight.

P.S. I'll take what I said about this because the Hawks manage to won against the Celtics in the road thru the three of Trae Young. Just amazing and what a display of confidence coming from him. They are down only by 1, but he just shot a three-point to survive.

Looking like the Boston Celtics are going to be sending the Atlanta Hawks fishing tonight. They’re up by more than 10 in the third now and Atlanta seems to be accepting their fate. The Hawks are 0-20 when they are down 0-2 in a best of 7 series in franchise history. I think that alone is enough way to say that the Hawks already lost this series when they went 0-2 against the Celtics. Add also the fact that they have a new coach in Quinn Snyder. I can't remember where, but I heard that the Hawks doesn't have high expectation when it comes to this playoffs because they have a new coach. They will prioritizing the chemistry of the coach, and the players so that they will play better next season.

On the other hand, I will not be surprised though if they will trade some of their key players like Collins, and even Young TBH.

What a show from Jimmy Butler last night against Bucks with a total of 56 points! I'm currently watching the 2nd half because that is where I felt asleep and I still cannot believe it that Miami took the game and they are leading the series 3-1. Giannis what a rough night with only 26 points and it was all on Lopez for scoring points and sames goes for Middleton who forgot how to score 3 pointers...

It's just very unfortunate that the Bucks is dominating in the regular games, had the best record in the NBA if I'm not mistaken. But a single injury in the playoff have chance the complexion of the series. And in game 4, I thought that him playing will make it even as they took a double digit lead down in the 3rd. But as you have said, Playoff Jimmy is activated and scored huge in the 4th quarter. One of the most exciting game this playoff, and what a great comeback as if it is the same Heat that make the finals in the bubbles. So I wouldn't be surprised if they will win this series now, 3-1 lead and the statistics are against the Bucks to overcome that huge lead. What a big disappointment for Bucks supporters here and a big dose for Giannis MVP run.
True, injuries can have a significant impact on the outcome of a playoff series but the Miami Heat are a strong team that deserves praise for their amazing comeback in game 4. Playoff Jimmy is always great to watch and the Heat look to be finding their groove right now. Even though the Bucks may not have much chance of coming back from a 3-1 deficit anything can happen in the playoffs and it is not over until it is over. Regarding Giannis' quest for the MVP a player's season is not defined by one defeat and he has unquestionably had an outstanding year. The unpredictability and drama that sports offer are ultimately what make them so beautiful and this series has certainly delivered on both counts.

Surely the Milwaukee Bucks haven't anticipated that one where Jimmy Butler will rise and carry the team towards the win, I mean it's not every day that we can see Jimmy Butler doing that, I know that he's totally different when it comes to playoffs because of his experience but I strongly doubt that he can maintain those efforts if his team aren't helping him in any way. The Bucks even having this 3-1 deficit, they still stand a chance until the series is not yet finished.
For sure the Bucks is anticipating that Jimmy will lead the Heat, he is their number 1 offensive weapons afterall. They even put their best defensive player on Butler, which is Middleton. But he is helpless because Jimmy really took it personally to lead his team to victory. And with that kind of mentality, it's hard to stop any player who play like that. And the defense of Heat late in the 4th quarter and their shooting really did it for them. They have a couple of steals, force Giannis to a bad shot and then Jimmy taking over with his clutch 3 point and outside shooting. And we can say that it is the best offensive show that we have seen in the playoffs.

I don't know what's wrong with Davis, but he made a lot of mistakes and was just as bad as he was in game 2.
Game 4 Davis was more worse than what he did in Game 2 because last night, he was just shooting 30% on the field while in Game 2 he got 58% on the field while 100% in FT. Fortunately, enough there was LeBron who took the responsibility and had 20 rebounds which helps the team secure more balls in-order to gain chances in taking control of the game. And of course, Russell and Reaves also managed to deliver important shots in the game while Vanderbilt on their defense.

He's said that on interview that its really an off night for him offensively since even if he gets a clear shot still he missed it. But he focus defensively and he contributes a lot with that since he really performed in crucial minutes which Lakers really needed. The block on final minutes to Ja morant is a big momentum stopper to Grizzlies, they really work good together today since Russel and rest of the squad is doing good performance. 1 more game and Lakers will advance to next round so most provably Lakers will take this as the momentum is on their side.

He also had the defensive player of the year that is guarding him, that's why if you look at Davis shot, it either alter by Jackson, and throw it awkwardly to prevent it from being block. So he has worst game in the series, and the defense might contribute something on it.

So it's a closure for the Lakers next game or the series extended going back to their homecourt. This could be the most hard fought match in the series because the Memphis will have to win to keep them alive. I expect the defense to really be topnotch specially with a lot of emotions on Lebron and Brooks.

I agree, with got three games where each series has a 3-1 lead, and I of course think there's always a chance for any of these teams to win tonight, but I don't see any of them making any sort of come back in this series.  The Lakers and Heat series are the two that I'm most interested in now personally.  Just because I want to see the Lakers do well and I love see my ex Bulls boy Jimmy Buckets just balling his ass off.  I can't for for the game tomorrow.
