Commissioner Willie Marcial is putting us viewers into a simulation where in the end, it will be SMC Vs. MVP. Kidding. It just went into my mind while sharing my opinion.  Grin Grin

In the first game, it's pretty obvious that TNT will just dominate the Phoenix, and that's what happened. TNT's import and currently leading in the Best Import of the Conference, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson hasn't been shooting well on this game, but it's good to see players like Pogoy, Castro, Williams, and Oftana stepping up offensively even though their import isn't playing well offensively.

In the second game, I put my bet during the game and the odds of Meralco at that time was at 2.5 so I put my bet on them immediately. It's better to see 2 teams from both SMC and MVP fighting each other than 3 teams from SMC and only 1 team on MVP. Aaron Black's buzzer beater was a Hail Mary that's for sure. I shouted when I saw it. Magnolia was in control of the ballgame, but the Bolts took the momentum on the final minute of the 4th quarter, made a 7-0 run to force an overtime, and from that, the Bolts continued the momentum that they got in the 4th quarter, and won the game.

I hope those who bet tonight won. Smiley SMC Vs. Ginebra and Meralco Vs. TNT on the other side. Am I the only one thinking that Meralco and Ginebra will face again in the PBA Finals? Cheesy
TNT Tropang GIga is a very good the game ends  105 to 132 which pretty good with a 27 points advantages and that is why they are one of those  tough team for now it because with the help of their import, the team will be stronger than before and especially the local players contributes well they do their best in order to compete other team and now they are advance to the finals. And for the second game what a comeback win by meralco and in the final second they push to the overtime and then in the end. So congratulations for the bettors.

It was a sorry mistake for Magnolia, they are in control of the but Bolts manage to outscored them in the final quarter and manage to push the game into overtime, I was thinking or assuming that Magnolia already have it since they are still in lead by 4 points in last 55 seconds and they can just use the time to win the game.

But the determination from Meralco push them to win the game and advance to the semis, so by looking at it, SMB vs Gin kings then TNT vs Meralco, either another classic Meralco vs Gin kings or TNT vs SMB.

We never know until it happen, just relax and enjoy the series..

All this while i thought that this is a series, i mean this matchup between Magnolia and Meralco is a best-of-three series.

With 1 minute left in the game and Magnolia leading by 7 points (96-89), this is money in the bag for Magnolia and we will be seeing a game 2 on Friday. Too many offensive rebounds for Magnolia when the score was tied 88-all which proved to be costly for the Bolts but can't blame them anyway as Hester is a monster rebounder.

edit:
Wow, Aaron Black has sent this game into overtime and now the Bolts have the chance to oust the Hotshots tonight.
Meralco already have 6 points lead, that could be a comfortable lead going into OT and take the win.
This is a good opportunity for Meralco to be back in Semi-final, looking at Magnolia right now it looks like they are demotivated by losing the chance to finish the game in 4th quarter. Meralco WON, they oust Magnolia and prevented three sister company going into the semis.

Moving on to the Magnolia vs. Meralco game, both teams have put up a good fight so far, and the game has been characterized by its physicality. While Magnolia is favored to win, I believe that Meralco has a chance to pull off an upset if they maintain their solid defense in the second half.

Based on what I see on the screen, the matchup between Meralco Boltz and Magnolia looks exciting as either team could win. The Meralco Boltz have a twice-to-beat advantage, so Magnolia needs to win this game if they want to advance to the exciting part of the matchup.

The game is currently in a run, with Magnolia leading by double digits and now it's back to a single-digit lead.

At the start of the game, I anticipated that the match between TNT and Phoenix would be a close one, given Phoenix's strong performance in the first half. However, TNT made a big push in the third quarter, which gave them the advantage they needed to secure the win. Phoenix struggled to regain momentum and ultimately lost with a final score of 105-132, with TNT covering the spread.

Imagine an active player having this health problem, that can tell something maybe its on their family history but its too sad to see LA dealing with this sick. This could be the end of his career but he’s still confident that he can survive this cancer and can still play with Ginebra, let’s just hope and pray for his recovery. Its actually better for him to retire and just enjoy all the hard work he put into basketball, he’s already stable financially and I’m sure he already build his own empire, and now its time to focus on his health.
I’m also shock to read the news about LA since he’s very active and for sure living a healthy life to stay fit for Basketball but then again, he was diagnosed with this sick. He don’t want to end his career yet but knowing cancer, that can limit you. Fortunately, LA have all the means to get a good treatment also outside the country, this is why he is more confident to survive on this cancer. Let’s pray for him and pray for every players to be more healthy.

Yeah, who might be thought that he will going to get this kind of illness as he's very active with this sport and like what he mentioned in his statement he dedicated his 17 years in this sport and he really love playing the game, but due to this cancer he needed to walk away and find the best remedy to survive with this health problem.

Prayers are what he needed for now, even he has the resources. Things like this still risky and hopefully he will be able to survive!

With a help of advance technology abroad, I'm sure he can survive on this and there's already a lot of Cancer survivor so let's pray for LA.
Anyway, LA can be a big loss to Ginebra and going into a semi if ever, they should fill the position of LA though he didn't play last game as far as I know. Ginebra team without LA for the next few months might be a sad situation, but its good to focus on his health first above anything else.
It's a Stage 3 cancer, and not a Stage 4 because if that happened to be in Stage 4, the chances of him surviving will go down drastically.

I agree with what you said that with how the technology and medicine is evolving outside our country, I'm pretty sure that he will survive with this one. The only question that comes to my mind is, what's next for him after his treatment and recovery. Will he be part of the coaching staff of Ginebra? Will he be a coach of a collegiate team? Anyway, Ginebra is already in good hands already with Thompson, and CStand in case Tenorio will force to retire because of this disease.

Like he said in his statement, he's been given all of his life into basketball already, but there really are things that beyond our control. Kind of sad, but will send prayers for him for a faster recovery.

I can't find the exact survivability rate of the person with that type of disease, but whatever the case it is, this will be a career ending for him that's for sure.

He's 38 years old already, and with that age, he's a few years away from retiring already and the late Kobe Bryant also retired at age 38 as well. There is a high chance or I think just by looking at his age, and the disease that he got, that he will retire. It's just sad especially for the Ginebra fans to see the floor captain of the team having this type of disease. Curing this disease will take time as well, and I'm hoping that he will recover from cancer. Many fans of him still wants to see him even though he isn't playing anymore.

It's very sad news. Who would have thought that LA had that kind of disease when he is an iron man? He did not even miss a game in his entire NBA career, and now he has been diagnosed with a serious illness. I hope he will recover from that disease, but it could lead to death if not treated, just like what happened to former President Cory Aquino, if I'm not mistaken.

Ginebra will be questionable if they allow NLEX to win, even without an import. That would be too obvious, so they have to play their best and beat NLEX by a blowout. They are ahead in the series with a 1-0 score. As for their import, hopefully, he can still return. As of now, I have no news about him, but I'm hopeful so that this series will be exciting.
Ginebra winning the first game is a big statement already, but I'm sure NLEX will not give up easily because they are more eager to win and go to the next round. They are not doing this just to make more income, this is already a quarterfinals and I believe, both teams are more eager to play and win. If Ginebra won, they will face SMB as far as I know and for sure, there will be rumors and speculations regarding that match up because they are a sister company so it will be hard to choose on where to bet.
Good point, it's a quarter finals where each teams will try everything to survive and move to the next round, though the advantage still in Ginebra's side after winning that blowout game 1, but the chance for NLEX to win is still open especially once the import is available, the changes in plays executions and the defense will help the team to make something that may upset the heavy favorite.

We can't conclude the outcome we can only share our opinions and speculations, until the final buzzer is not being heard, the winning team is still unknown.

I am confused about your statement guys. Huh

What do you mean by NLEX won't give up easily, NLEX has a chance to win, NLEX will not give up easily, and Ginebra is 1-0 in this QF series? NLEX was already eliminated. Ginebra has a twice-to-beat advantage and NLEX are on the do-or-die in the Quarterfinals.

Ginebra and SMB will now face each other at the Semis. Keep updated guys. Cheesy

After reading your reply, I quickly open PBA online website and check the status I wanna make sure that I know what I'm saying from my post above, and yes, NLEX vs Gin kings is on best of three series meaning to say that NLEX still alive and still have the chance to push for the final do or die game 3 against the Gin kings if they manage to pull an upset in their next upcoming game.

NLEX is playing without an import, so I think this game will be a boring one, and it surely won't be a close one. Brownlee is so good in times like this, so most likely, Ginebra will win via a blowout. Anyway, I just took the -11, and hopefully, that will hit.
Yes, they are, and without an import, it means Ginebra has a very huge chance of winning. -11 is definitely achievable, as Ginebra can make a big run, and they might just get it in one quarter. I didn't expect this to happen to NLEX. They need their import, but he is not healthy, so they are going to war against the best in the PBA with an all-Filipino squad.

Well, this is a best of 3 series, maybe NLEX's import will be able to play in game 2.

20 points deficit coming to the 2nd half, if the trend continue and if NLEX unable to make a good rally then expect that spread will be covered, not sure though as we can't conclude unless the time is already runout and the final buzzer already ends the game. Just to add some fun, we know that a good working hands can change/manipulate the outcome of the game Tongue Roll Eyes just kidding but with the game tempo it's simply saying that Gin kings will win this game.

There's no chance for them, as Ginebra is just too good, and they are playing without an import. It's actually a gift for the bettors, especially those who bet before the game. I think the spread was below -10, so they should be happy now.

NLEX ML @13.00, who's brave enough to try this one? I'm not taking this but wait for the third quarter and see if i will see a good opportunity to bet on this game.

Not this time. I'm sure Ginebra won't allow NLEX to come back, as it might cost them a game.
Barangay Ginebra now have 1 score which is pretty good enough because they are in The best of three and 1more game win then they will be the second team advance to the semifinals and we all know that SMB are now waiting because they are knockout their opponent which is Converge and that's very easy for them. And for me SMB will be the one who advance to the finals for sure. But anyways a lot happening not happens yet so all we need to do is watch and relax.

As for Radmanovich as their resident import, this is what I'm saying a few days ago that this might be his debut and his final game this season, but his performance on this game might be a good thing for him for some reason because there might be a chance that other team or the same team will get him when the conference where there is an import comes. Now they wanted him to be their resident import which is a good decision.

Actually, it was noted that "Vodanovich" (let's correct this. damn I know the full name of the import but what the hell I type Radmanovich of the NBA haha) was already on Coach Ayo's radar for a long time and he really wants to pursue him to be Converge's import. I think there is a conflict with Vodanovich's commitment to other leagues during the Commissioners Cup last year that's why Converge instead got Quincy Miller and in the following conference, Governors Cup, they got Jamaal Franklin. In fairness though, these 2 imports that Converge got are really talented and skilled but unfortunately, failed to take Converge into a top spot.

Converge is still a young team to consider under Coach Ayo and has lots of room for improvement. The question is if Vodanovich will accept the offer of becoming a resident import as that was a big decision to be made knowing he's currently also known to other leagues. Different from the story of Justin Brownlee where he's not even hyped when he joined Ginebra for the first time. He is not even a first choice as he was just a replacement import back then but Ginebra just trusts the process alongside him along the way.
Where did I get that surname? Thanks for correcting me for that  Grin Grin and my apologies as well

Well, that says it all then. That's why Converge wants him to be their resident import because Coach Aldin Ayo is scouting him for a long time already, and with his debut game just a few days ago, it seems like he didn't disappoint his team.

Unfortunately, they lost yet again on the first round like what happened to them in the past 2 seasons, but like what you said, they are still a young team with lots of improvements. Speaking of improvements, Ahamnisi became an unrestricted free agent, and now he's out on the Converge already. I wonder what if FiberXers will try and get him again, or just let him go and find another players that suits with the team.
