If Blackwater wins this game, it will be a huge upset. I never thought it would be a close game, but it's happening now. I'm enjoying it because both teams are playing hard, but NorthPort is currently ahead. Murphy a 2 point shot, plus a foul, I think Northport will take this game.
NorthPort will win this game. The easiest bet here was over 192.5, if I recall correctly. However, I didn't take the over because I was thinking it could be a trap. Since both teams are high-scoring, I had some doubts about the total, but I was wrong, hehe.

Casio made a 3-pointer, but I'm sure it will not be enough to come back as NorthPort is still ahead by two possessions.

Under a minute and it's just a 4 point lead for NP, seems that Blackwater will be able to cover the handicap if they will manage to keep this close lucky for those who risk for them for the handicappers, not bad since last week they also manage to cover when they played against converge, I didn't pay attention for today's game as I was still in the impression that PBA will give way with the current FIBA games.

But congrats in advance with all those who bets and manage to win for today's game!

Nice game though for the PH Team. What an impressive performance too on Justin Brownlee's debut game wearing the Gilas jersey.

Although the result doesn't have any impact on the status of both countries at the FIBA World, good to see that the PH team is doing well. Of course, the pressure on the international stage is different but at least defeating a strong Asian country like Lebanon, is already a big deal.

The next qualifier game of the PH team will be against Jordan on Monday, January 27. Expecting a jampack Philippine Arena once again.
Amos took the spotlight, he's got a lot of potentials and I'm sure too many teams will want to have him once the Fiba is done.
It's a better game if Arakji was there and they show who really the Gilas are as a team. There will be for sure a lot of sleeping reaction for him if he's there with his team but then, let's all appreciate all the coaching staff and even the dislike for coach Chot has been there before.
It's a team effort and congratulations to them.

By the way, PBA will resume today we have 2 games.

1st game Bossing vs Northport
2nd game  NLEX vs Rain or Shine.
These are the odds for both games:

With that odds, I guess the NLEX-ROS has the most attractive odds currently. I don't see Blackwater winning against NorthPort as well, but the odds aren't that attractive. On the 2nd game, both teams lost in their previous games. With the inconsistency of the NLEX's import, I'm thinking that the ROS has a chance to beat them. NLEX only won 1 of their last 4 games since they changed their import, and that win is a close one and they almost lost as well. If you want to make a bit of a risk, you might want to bet on the ROS on this one. Cheesy.

Good luck to us bettors. Smiley

They have another game on Monday against Jordan, which I think they can easily win as well.
Yes, that's on the 27th. I have no idea about the betting odds yet, so I don't know if the Philippines will easily beat them. Do you know about the ranking of the teams so we can check?

In that game against Lebanon, Gilas really showed their maturity, and it seemed like they didn't have an import (naturalized player) because the ball was shared well, and everyone was a threat outside. Lebanon had no idea who to defend, to be honest.

By the way, PBA will resume today we have 2 games.

2nd game  NLEX vs Rain or Shine.

The pressure added since they are playing inside our own home, impressing fans and defending the flag, something that will bring pressure but to how I see things is going, our nationals are really doing everything to make things the right way, looking to see more good plays and good executions coming from all the players who will have their chance to play.

Rotation is always important. Coach Chot, who's being assisted by coach Tim and the rest has a bigger obligation/role in winning games.

Looking to see much comfortable and much better chemistries to whoever will play.. Good Job and good luck team PH!

Not sure if this is correct but I think we are already part of the FIBA World Cup 2023 as we are the host of the group and final phase.

Anyway, Gilas did a great job tonight and seeing their play and strategy I believe its works perfectly and they have a good chance to win on their next game against Jordan, it will be a great one as well. Will definitely place a bet to Gilas no matter what, I believe they are on a better system now.

Yup, we are already qualified in the FIBA World Cup as the Philippines is one of the hosts but it's a good thing that we have seen this current roster of Gilas boys who are all pumped up to this us a win in a qualifying window led by Justin Brownlee. That game against Lebanon was a non-bearing game for both as Lebanon is also assured of a slot in the FIBA World Cup no matter what happens in their succeeding games.

Back to the PBA, we have two games for today.

Blackwater vs NorthPort
NLEX vs Rain or Shine

No clear odds yet on my favorite bookies, will update later.

Are you guys watching the Philippines vs Lebanon game now? It's a great game for the Philippines; they are leading by double digits already, and I really like this lineup. There's no need for Brownlee to carry the team because his teammates have international experience and can really help the team get better. The defense and ball movement are impressive so far. If they can maintain a 20-point lead in the first half, it will be hard for Lebanon to come back in the second half, in my opinion.

By the way, the spread before the game was -7.5, so looking at the game now, it will easily be covered.

I was not aware that today was the game against Lebanon. I only caught the last few minutes of the game when I turned the TV on. I was glad that they won the game with a good lead against Lebanon. This is good for the team.

They have another game on Monday against Jordan, which I think they can easily win as well.

Yes, we are automatically qualified since we are hosting the next FIBA World. But we still should not take the qualifiers lightly since they will give our players a good experience in international competition, especially the young ones.

We should start saving money for the games since all of the biggest basketball players will be in our country. It is our chance to meet them in person.

Gilas Pilipinas shows us a good play and a good win, they are improving a lot like in the movement of the ball they are very good all I see for miles now is unselfishness which is pretty good if they have this. And also the big guys Junmar fajardo and Justin brownlee doing good as well and for sure malonzo will happy for his play 2 hand dunk by malonzo is the best highlights for this game. Now gilas defeated lebanon and they show us who they are.

Hopefully, they can continue to do so in FIBA World. PBA has shortened conferences to give way for Gilas to practice and blend well. That is a great opportunity to redeem themselves since they are heavily criticized in the recent events they competed, especially the coaches.

It was a great game for the Gilas, and its good that they are playing well despite of the limited practice together.
All of the players are doing their part and of course Brownlee is still a big help to Gilas fortunately he get naturalized timely for this game. I don't know if we still have the chance to enter FIBA but I think Lebanon is already part of it. Let's continue to cheer Gilas and pray for a more good chemistry and game play, congrats everyone.

We are going to host the FIBA World cup and yes, we are already part of it along with the other countries.
Gilas had their revenge against Lebanon and its was a great homecourt advantage.

Now they are going to play against Jordan which I believe they can also have another win here against Jordan, its good to have some bet now and make some profit as well while cheering for Gilas. Gilas will be more deadly if all the players will play better, hopefully I can watch this game live.

Our Gilas Pilipinas team got their revenge against the Lebanese 107-96.

The lead went up as high as 20+, but the Cedars manage to chip away some of them at the final minutes of the game. I was hoping that the Arena will at least be filled with audiences, or at least the bottom chairs, but it didn't happen. Anyway, good win for the team and a good revenge win for them.

A good debut game for the youngest player of the team Mason Amos as he scored 13 points, got 3 3-pointers, and didn't miss a single shot. The Gilas Pilipinas team tallied 17 3-pointers, tied for most in a single World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers game alongside Japan, Australia, and Kazakhstan, and they got 31 assists as well. Looks like the small ball team works. Their next game will be against Jordan. Too unfortunate for me that I didn't put any bet on this game.

By the way, the spread before the game was -7.5, so looking at the game now, it will easily be covered.

It's good if you took that spread because the Philippines is leading by 12 points after the first half. The current betting spread for the Philippines is now -13.5, while the over/under is 178.5, which is way above the total before the game. I would like to wish you good luck on your bet, and I hope the Philippines will continue their good shooting in the second half.

Malonzo had 2 dunks that will be highlights of this game. He is very confident, and even though he only had good 3-point shooting in this game, it was actually the dunks that will be the highlights. I love how the Philippines played here; they shared the ball well, so I hope they continue that great chemistry when they go up against Jordan.

The pregame odds was covered, but the live odds was not. Gilas' lead was as high as 20 points, but they were not able to hold it. Lebanon could not attack inside, but they were lucky that most of their 3-point shots sank in the 4th quarter. However, it was too late for them as there was not enough time left to come back for this game. I admire their hard work because even though they were down by a big margin, they still showed the same intensity they had in the early quarters.

Meralco played well though most of us will see it as sagid kapamilya game but still performance wise Meralco gives the fans the entertainment that they really wanted from the team that put their bets with, congrats to those who managed to put their bets either because they believe that Meralco can beat NLEX or the point that Meralco needs the win and the sister company can provide the help
to make sure that they are still in the series and will have the chance to move to the next round.

The next game favors those who take the risk of taking the handicap. The game ended up not with double digit lead but a single digit and let the bettors win.
Meralco did a great job on this but the way NLEX played the game, its an obvious help to their sister company to stay alive in the computation and we cannot blame the fans to see the game like this because Meralco needs a win and I’m sure other teams are doing this as well to help their sister company all throughout. Surprisingly, Converge only won by 8 points which I think Blackwater did a great job on this game despite of the loss.

This "sagip-kapamilya" thing is just hearsay for me and I don't believe that they will intentionally give the game to its opponent. I have post last night that this NLEX-Meralco game will be catchy as the spread for the favorite to win is not too high maybe because Bolts is below in the standing than NLEX but if you think of it, Meralco has the better import in McDaniels.

Surprisingly there are no scheduled games today, why is that? Anyone knows why, today is a Friday.

And watching the game seems not appropriate to consider that as "sagip-kapamilya" as just watching, we should easily able to understand that something wrong is going on. But yes, hearsay like that will remain speculation forever.

Regardless though, it seems that the final seeding will be tough and I want to see that kind of competition.

I thought the reason why no Friday games is related to Gilas windows games but surprises that we have a double-header tomorrow, Sunday.
