I just saw the news that one of the top rookies in PBA has passed away, Emmanuel "Boybits" Victoria. I was still quite young and didn't see his career days and that's why when I've seen this news it wasn't too big for me but after looking at a brief history of his career, it should be recognized since he's become one of the best rookies. For more details about the news:

No idea who the player was, but knowing that he played in the PBA and once been a rookie of the year, I guess it's still saddening to see a player passes away, but that's how life is. People come and go.

"Demolition Man" or "Lakay". Whatever you wanted to call him, but Danny Ildefonso is coming out of retirement, and will be playing on the Converge FiberXers as their 15th player: https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/danny-ildefonso-comes-out-of-retirement-suits-up-for-converge-a793-20230302?ref=home_featured_big

I mean, many are surprised with this move by Converge knowing he is already 46 years old, but it just shows that if a player whether old or young can still play, if possible give them an opportunity to play. Congrats to "Lakay".

2 games will be played today.
Columbian Dyip Vs. NLEX Road Warriors
NorthPort Batang Pier Vs. Magnolia Hotshots

Looking on the winner's odds, it isn't that attractive anymore because many bettors already know who will win on both games. On the first game, I will just bet on under 224.5 because I think that they will not reach that total score. On the second game, I'll bet on Over 209.5 total points. I'm thinking that they will surpass that score. Good luck to all bettors.

I remember the golder days of Swift Mighty Meaty / Sunkist he was playing alongside with Aerial Voyager and The Bull, they are complete and really make a good name in this league, Boybits Victoria was the game maker though I was cheering for Alaska but when they are playing against each other the dominance mostly in favor of Sunkist/Swift.

A well ended career for Boybits. Though he's still young in my opinion but that's life and no one can predict how long you can stay alive.

The next game will be interesting. It's Ginebra versus Meralco, with Ginebra favored by 4.5 points. What team do you think will win? Hmm...do I still need to ask that? Hehe...I'm pretty sure everyone here will be rooting for Ginebra to win. So the right bet will be Ginebra -4.5 or -5 for better odds. As for the total score, I think it will be a low-scoring game like the outcome of the Magnolia versus Meralco game, so the under is the safe bet here.
Ginebra won and was able to dominate the last quarter, its actually a high scoring game as expected.
If you are able to place that bet, you probably win a good profit with Ginebra. Last two games for Meralco this week, they should bounce back so they can enter the quarter finals on a good standing with an opportunity for the semis. On the other hand, it will be a hectic schedule for Ginebra this week, they should stay composed and play a better game.

Gin kings manage to win if you pick -4.5 that's being covered as they win with 5 points deficit, it was a close game till the last few minutes but that tight defense of Ginebra dominated in the last quarter, Meralco unable to push their way to snatch this against the crowd favorite.

It was a sorry missed for me as I'm thinking to place some spare for Ginebra during the live game with 1.5 odd ML, moving forward, congrats to all Kabayan who manage and fr sure many of them win today.

Brownlee took over in the 4th quarter, but the hero of the game was Maya Gray. He was hot in the 4th quarter and helped take the lead. Ginebra could have won by over 5 points if their free-throw shooting was decent, especially for C. Stand, who has an awkward shooting style. LOL, but no offense to him, he played well in that game, especially on the defensive side.

The commentators were right. They said you cannot sleep on Ginebra, because even if they lose in the first 3 quarters, there's still the 4th quarter - and that's exactly what Ginebra did.

I thought that was money in the bag for Meralco but I'm wrong. What a comeback for the Gin Kings and that 2.5 ML odds at the half is quite tempting if you are a Ginebra fan because like what the commentators said, you can't sleep on them as they can be explosive anytime. The only consolation on that game is i won my over 217.5 on that game which i thought I'm also going to lose since the third quarter was a low scoring quarter and also thanks to that late three by McDaniels, that saved my day.

They turned everything in the last and final quarter, like what I've said I'm already in the process of taking them while the score are tied at 97 a piece, just being a concern with what Meralco especially McDaniel's can do prevent me to continue and place my money for the Gin kings, CStand's offensive and defensive contributions help the team winning the game.

By the way, lucky for you, your over bet was covered..

The Meralco Bolts are in the league in the first 3 quarters. Ginebra is trying to take the lead, but when they are only trailing by 1 point, Meralco will make a way to increase their lead again.

That changed in the 4th quarter when Ginebra took it over. Standhardinger and Brownlee lead the whole 4th quarter offense that eventually, lead to their victory. Brownlee scored 29 points, but the one who really carried the team until the end is Standhardinger, and he finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. For a local player, you don't expect that stats because most of the time, imports are doing that, but we've seen that a local like him can do what imports can do as well.

I lost my bet because I thought that the Bolts will continue with their winning streak. On the other hand, after playing for 744 straight games, LA Tenorio missed that game for the first time because of an injury, and because of that, the streak has ended already. Hope he will recover and help his team on the playoffs.

The PBA is now back, with the game starting early today at 3:00 pm. For those who missed betting, you can still place a live bet. The game is currently close one, but we do not know if it will stay this way. So, what are you waiting for? Bet on your favorite team now!
It's early and that is good, so we won't have to wait long to watch the game. Unfortunately, what I'm watching now is a boring game, as ROS is not very competitive. I can understand because they are playing without an import.

As for my bet, I have ROS @4.00
Little chance this one will hit because Phoenix already have 21 point lead.

In my opinion, the Philippines will improve. Coming back from a huge deficit of as high as 25 points is already a sign of a good team. They almost won, and that's the best thing they could have done. Although they lost, they gave the crowd hope that they could make a successful comeback.
Actually, when they're trying to chase the lead, many have already lost their hope that they'll not be able to take that huge deficit. It's for real that they'll improve but it all depends on how quick the improvement will and it'll be based on the management.
So far, they are all doing good, and sad to say that Kai won't be playing within the next window for which many think that he's really going to be a good addition to the Gilas but he's got other priorities and it's reasonable.

I was also in that impression that the young superstar will priorities the National not seeing that other priorities as he really aiming to captured the international scene, though it's a personal decision that he and his camp seen for his future career, let's hope for the betterment of the PH nationals, after that loss I can see that they can bring more for the country.

Improvement and more improvement to bring our pride back to the international competitions.

Bolts ML @2.06 vs Ginebra Kings

Japeth Aguilar won't be plying still while LA Tenorio is not yet fully recovered so i think this is a good bet ticket.
These are the odds of both teams on Stake:

On the first game, with how Phoenix made an upset and won against Converge and with how ROS is playing right now, I guess betting on Phoenix is a good pick here and it's quite attractive. If they won against the ROS, their chances of securing that 8th spot will be higher since they will have 4 wins after that against the current 9th spot NorthPort which only has 2 wins. On the other hand if ROS will lose on this one, their chances of getting to playoffs will be lower and they might get eliminated.

On the second game, if Meralco will win on this one (which they have a chance knowing that Japeth and LA might not play), correct me, but they might get the 5th spot over Ginebra and they will fall into 6th spot. The Bolts are on a 2 game winning streak right now, and with that huge win over the Hotshots, they might carry the momentum and defeat another SMC team. On this one, I will take the risk and bet on Meralco.

Good luck on your bets. Smiley

That was not a good sign, mate. If they will always allow that to happen, it's a big problem.

The stage of the World Cup won't be held here in the country therefore, not much presence in the live audiences to support the country to boost their morale in a situation where Gilas needs to make a huge comeback. Also, not all the time that a team will allow that comeback, especially those teams that are even much stronger than Jordan.

That's not the best they could have done, they can do better next time. Good luck with our Gilas on the international stage this year.

Brownlee's 41 points is a big statement that he's really worth being chosen as the team's naturalized player.

That was really huge, I mean he didn't only score points but also made his teammates comfortable alongside him, team player to say the least hehe. There's now a debate on social media on who would Gilas take to the FIBA World Cup this August, Brownlee or Clarkson. There's no doubt that Jordan Clarkson has the advantage over Brownlee in term of skills but if we consider who's the one who makes his teammates more involved no doubt it is the latter though he only played two games I think he deserves the nod if chosen to be with the Gilas this August.

They should prioritize these 2 things next,

1. avoid being down by that huge lead
2. don't feel pressured at the end especially when there are lots of ways to win that game

The Philippines did the right thing, but they fell short. I believe the defense was there, but if you watched the game, you would see that Jordan couldn't miss their 3-point shots in the first quarter. That's the reason why they were ahead by double digits. I would say it was a lucky game for Jordan since they don't shoot like that all the time. The Philippines did the right thing to come back but fell short, and that's it.

PH nationals manages to rally back but like goinmerry said even they try everything they still fell short and lose the game, good things it's only a no-bearing game for them and they can learn from that loss, you give your point and those who watch the game understand, Jordan got a good look behind the arc while the home team don't have that capability to answer back in the first half.

There are always a room to improve and we should expect good bounce from everyone.
