Same here.. but that point spread is suspicious, SMB started at -1.5, but it closed with Ginebra at -5.5. Feels like the bookies are setting up a trap, pushing the public to bet on Ginebra so they can hand the win to SMB, especially since they struggled against Converge in the QF. I got a gut feeling it's gonna happen, but I'm too nervous to bet on SMB, let's just go with the over and secure the win.

That's something to think before placing your bet, the point spread change it might be influence by the volume of gamblers who take that handicap and now bookies are trying to push it and bring the balance hahaha, though it's just my own take but if you are more comfortable taking the Over then just take it and wait for the outcome.

Good luck mga kabayan, game 1 for both series let see which teams will take the first blood!

If I were to place a bet, I'd go with SMB. I know the line movement is just influenced by the heavy money flowing towards Ginebra. But this is only Game 1, not crucial, so either team could take it, which makes SMB the better value bet. So far, it looks like Brownlee's having some issues, he hasn't returned in the second quarter yet. This is SMB's chance to attack the paint and build a good lead, setting themselves up for momentum in the second half.

And it's done the trap is for real hahaha, SMB was been dominated by the Gin kings beating with double digit lead, but those who manage to take the Over, congrats to all kabayan out there who didn't take the ML for SMB but instead took that handicap for Gin kings especially when the odds change up, that handicap for Gin kings was fully covered and the ML that's decent enough for a win.

As for the total, I have a feeling we’re going to see the over hit. It’s currently at 211.5, and it moved a bit, but that kind of line is definitely hinting "OVER."

Yeah I think JMF should take advantage of this monster stats. As age goes by, some players will definitely go low balls or loses value. Its better while he can make dominance with PBA and even Gilas, run for it. Cause age cant be lowered and in due times it can be use to earn money. I think doing business with your money while still have a career in PBA is an alternative prior to retirement stage.

JMF's midrange game is impressive, especially for a big man. He’s really developed that shot, and it’s perfect for when opponents clog the paint. Plus, we can’t forget his three-point shooting, he’s already hit a game-winner before. He’s definitely the guy Ginebra needs to slow down. But the question is, can they? If Greg was still with Ginebra, JMF would’ve had a real matchup that could keep him from dominating.

JMF has recently improved his shooting, and he just keeps getting better despite his age. His dominance is still clear. When JMF is healthy, he’s a huge asset to the team. But Ginebra, man... this team is just tough as long as Brownlee is healthy too.

I agree to that, coach Tim always have his counter, if they can't guard JMF they'll find ways to counter that by letting JBL to take charge, though it's tough since the battle is between two sister company, it might possibly controlled by big bosses, just bet to have that added enjoyment while wathcing the game.

This is possible, boss might try to play us, but since it’s a 50-50 matchup, I’m sure we won’t end up like the SMB vs Converge quarterfinals where many bettors probably fell into the trap. Here, if you believe SMB or Ginebra will win, just bet on them each time, and double up if they lose. We’re likely to end up profitable in this series.

Moving forward, Gin kings against SMB a competition against JMF and JBL the one that performs well will influence the whole squad, that's how important these two stars for both teams.
Now we’re looking at a great matchup! I checked the odds, and SMB is favored by -1.5, which gives Ginebra bettors a solid opportunity to jump on the moneyline early. As for the total, it's set high at 210.5. I thought this would be more of a defensive game, but it seems the bookies expect it to be a high-scoring one.

This is indeed an opportunity for those who want to bet on Ginebra. However, I believe the bookies are basing their odds on Ginebra’s last two games against SMB, where they lost both and were blown out in the most recent one. But this is a series, and those games won’t matter anymore. We should remember that Coach Tim Cone is a brilliant tactician and knows very well how to defend against JMF15.

Anyone here interested in p2p betting?

If you're one of the regulars and someone I trust, feel free to PM me. I'm willing to bet around BTC0.002 on Ginebra to win the series.

If only SMB performs very well on their series against Converge, i would take your offer hehe.

How about betting in pesos mate, would you take it?

Ph2k i'm for the Beermen in this series. Please quote this post if you take this bet. Just a small amount for fun only.

Cancelling my bet after seeing the article that SMB hasn't won any series when Ginebra's import is Justin Brwonlee.

Yup, JBL really got that magic touch leading his team to several titles and we do witness it since he became the main stay import of Gin kings.

Fajardo delivered a phenomenal performance, scoring 40 points and securing 20 rebounds, preventing a near disaster against Converge. However, they need to elevate their game as Ginebra poses a different challenge in the semi-finals.
That kind of score is reallt an mvp material, if SMB have a chance for finals, I think Fajardo will be named as MVP again. SMB line up is kinda powerhouse I just dont like some of their players who are always into trouble and so boastful lile Terrence romeo and Jericho Cruz. They got their fair issues on some players of Converge like Stockton and Cabagnot.
They’ll definitely face a tougher opponent in the next series, and with their import not being as impressive, JMF is taking on most of the load. It could turn into a long series, but I think Ginebra has the edge since JMF might wear down if he continues carrying his team.

When it comes to the MVP, JMF is the clear choice. The import competition is separate, so Brownlee and JMF should win different awards. It’s going to be exciting as the semis begin tomorrow!
I'm really surprised how Converge was able to win 2 straight games and made a do-or-die game because San Miguel Beermen was able to win it on their 3rd game, but they still lost 2 games afterward. A lot of people lost and a lot of people lost a lot of money because of extremely high odds, no one expected Converge will able to win 2 games against top team San Miguel Beermen.
Stockton and Cabagnot played well, sad for them they lost.

Yeah they played well but both of them are also the last players who made that big mistake, a crucial error from the inbound pass of Stockton to Cabagnot, that's something huge I don't know if that's a honest mistake or just part of the drama hahaha, kidding aside, lots of gamblers lost their money for sure as most of them favor SMB from that 2 stright loses, and the last one for sure there are gamblers who bet early and take that handicap if I remember it right that's something like -8.5.

Those two are good so I could say that even one of them becomes MVP they well deserved it especially foe JMF, its so rare to see a bigman with a good shooting outside considering his specialty is inside the paints points.

Yeah their good they are my idols durung collegiate season on UAAP both got some moves and destined to be on PBA however their playing style is likely not like by some of their opponents due to taunting and undergound tactics.

That’s their weakness, and it could definitely cost them in a close game. Luckily, when Romeo got called for that F1 on their game 5 vs Converge, Stockton missed all three of his free throws.

Terrence Romeo and Jericho Cruz have a playing style that tends to get under their opponents’ skin. While some may find it boastful, that’s just how they play, and I don’t like it either. I believe this will be TR7’s last season with the Beermen, as there are rumors he will be traded to another team.

It’s a bit monotonous seeing June Mar Fajardo consistently winning the MVP, but no one in this era can stop him, not even Belga. If the SMB Beermen secure a spot in the finals this conference, I believe Fajardo will once again receive the MVP award.

Best of 7--it’s going to be a great matchup in the semis for sure!

SMB vs. Ginebra will be interesting since both are under the SMB umbrella. A martingale strategy might be solid for this series since it’s likely to be closely contested. I don't see Ginebra sweeping SMB, and if SMB becomes the underdog, that's even better since Ginebra is bound to be the public favorite.

As for TNT vs. ROS, it’s a tough call. I’d lean toward TNT as well--they have the talent, and now that they're healthy, they’re a strong contender. RHJ seems unstoppable, while Fuller might struggle against TNT’s big men, and even someone like Williams could effectively limit Fuller’s impact.

Let's move on to the semi-finals series.

Here's the schedule for the best of seven semi-finals with
TNT vs RainOrShine and Ginbebra vs San Miguel Beermen.

I'm excited for the bookies to be available, right now, I still can't see some matches available in popular crypto betting platforms.

Sure spot for another RSA team, while MVP will need to win against ROS which will surely gives them a hard time, maybe it's time for coach yeng to be back in the finals and maybe finally a team outside MVP and SMC will win this season, still far but we never know what might be the outcome of those two semifinals games, both Gin kings and SMB are tough but if ever ROS manage to move forward it will bring more fans interest of they'll gaoing to compete against the Gin kings..

That -8.5 spread may seem high, but I still think it was the right pick. GL!

It was definitely a high spread, and a lot of bettors took a hit in this game. Converge was in control for most of it, but JMF put on a heroic performance to carry SMB to victory. Unfortunately, it was only a 4-point win, and I also lost my live bet on SMB at -4.5. Losing by just 0.5 makes it sting even more!

Anyway, it's over, so let's move on to the semi finals that will start in October 9.

Fajardo delivered a phenomenal performance, scoring 40 points and securing 20 rebounds, preventing a near disaster against Converge. However, they need to elevate their game as Ginebra poses a different challenge in the semi-finals.
For that matchup, I’d go with Ginebra as well. I don’t see anyone capable of stopping Brownlee, and their locals are in good form. It seems like CJ isn't playing at full strength, possibly dealing with an injury, so that gives a solid opportunity to bet on the more proven team, Ginebra. While Japeth might not fully match up against Fajardo, the edge in coaching definitely favors Ginebra.

One thing i observed in this series, if you put your bet on Converge with the spread, you always win as SMB didn't cover the spread in all their three wins.
That's what I noticed too.. easy money for converge on that series.
