The game started off exciting for Converge in the 1st quarter, but after that, Meralco took control, leading to a blowout loss for Converge. This explains why the handicap was so high—it seemed like a trap, and it turned out to be one.
In the 2nd game, the score is tied at 46 at halftime. It's uncertain whether Magnolia will take over in the 2nd half, but if they do, it could lead to a blowout win, with the spread easily being covered.
Still a close game between Magnolia and NP one more final push for whoever team that will win this game, nice to see that NP is putting the pressure not to allow an easy game for Magnolia, though I don't see any good ball movement from both teams as they all just trying to shot the ball whoever is holding it, especially with NP not sure if they are calling plays, just take it strong to the basket without any rotation.
Not call for offensive set up though Magnolia is doing that same attack option but you can see from them that they still make it sure that there's passes before they take charge just not good rhytm and they keep missing, let see if they can find that timing and make a big run this last quarter.
At some point in the fourth quarter, I thought NorthPort was going to upset Magnolia. They managed to bring the game to a single-possession ball game, but poor defense allowed Magnolia to extend their lead with a three-point shot. It was still a decent game for NorthPort, though—they didn't have their import due to injury, but they didn't let Magnolia dominate them.
bisdak (congrats bro) was lucky to get -4.5 for Magnolia. When I checked, it was -10.5, but regardless, Magnolia still covered the spread since they beat NorthPort by 11 points.
