For the 8th time, June Mar Fajardo was crowned the most valuable player last season. For me he deserves this award as no one in the PBA right now could match his talent. This is record breaking and i don't if someone could break this 8th time MVP.
When he retires, who could be the successor for him winning a lot of MVPs?

Great start for Meralco! After winning the championship, they are showing once again that they are the real deal. They’re not just aiming to win the All-Filipino Cup but also want to make a mark with their returning import. Tomorrow, there's a break according to the schedule, but the action resumes on Tuesday with Bossing and ROS as the main attraction.
Every Monday is a rest day now for the PBA. And congratulations not only for winning but also for having that first 4-point shot made by Chris Banchero. There's something new, kind of interesting but let's see on how long this sensation will last.

I wouldn’t think of something like that in the opening. If this could be a trap, then that’s fine,...
And that was not a trap, as Meralco won the game with a final score of 99-94.

The opening game so far is very entertaining, with Meralco holding only a single-digit lead in a very close contest. We're now in the 3rd quarter, and I have a feeling this game might go into overtime if the current scoring trend continues. It's unfortunate that the website isn't updated with play-by-play details, as having that information would be very helpful for making decisions during live betting.

Was it announced now? I am not watching the game yet, but I will tune in later. JMF, a very humble big man, deserves another award. He is still dominant inside, even though he’s not in his prime anymore, so I’m looking forward to him continuing his greatness so he could be named the best PBA player of all time, like Muhammad Ali in boxing.

As for the game now, I can’t miss the season opener, as I’m planning to do some live betting in addition to my pregame bets.

As per checking, there's update in PBA official website that JMF got another MVP award, surely there's no one who can beat that record.

I personally think that if only JMF did not suffer to any injury he can win that 10 straight as of now there's no player who can bring that type of a game, all around player who can fill every stats, as per checking only Thompson who win that title since 2013-2014, chance to win another one is not by far as we see how JMF played during the international competitions, bringing that kind of a game will surely dominates the game.

Check your bookies now, as the PBA will start tomorrow with only one game, but it's a big one.

Odds are available, here's the spread and total:
Magnolia -2.5 vs Bolts +2.5
Total: 190.5

My pick here is the Bolts moneyline because they were the champions last season and have a very good import, so I'm quite surprised they're listed as the underdog.

The wait will be over soon. Just one more sleep, and we'll finally witness the PBA again. Regarding the betting odds, particularly the point spread, I like your pick, but I'm a bit cautious as it feels like it could be a trap. I have a feeling the bookies might be setting us up for this. Since Meralco beat SMB in the last Finals, people might automatically think Meralco is being underestimated here and assume the bookies are wrong.

I wouldn’t think of something like that in the opening. If this could be a trap, then that’s fine, I’ll just move on and try to win the next scheduled games. Sometimes we overthink and end up not enjoying it anymore. Betting is not complicated as long as you know how to manage your bankroll, and since this is a long season where we could bet on a lot of games, just win more games and be profitable in the end. Anyway, thanks for the theory, or whatever you call it. As a gambler, it’s also fine to think that way sometimes.

Frustrating indeed, like you have said they should have a personnel in charge of updating their website as fans like us just rely on their site for updates and news on what's happening on the league. It seems that the PBA doesn't care on their image anymore hehe.
The website is updated about the schedule on Sunday and for the upcoming games after that day but that's what I've only checked. I like the schedules now, we've got whole week for the games except for Monday as the rest day. I forgot to mention also about that we'll get to see the four points shots soon.  Tongue

It's already updated, and we can see the full schedule here (https://pba.ph/schedule). It's PBA time! The season will start this Sunday, and we'll be seeing Durham, an old import for Meralco Bolts, playing against Magnolia Hotshots with their own returning import, the big guy. I saw this post on Facebook, but I can't find it again now. I just forgot his name, but I think he was an import for DYIP before.
I am excited to see all of those 4 point shots that will be made. I think most of the shooters will have their own times for trying out the 4 point shooting.
It is going to be a history on who's going to do it for the first time and I am sure everyone will attempt to do it. It will be written in the books whoever takes the first shoot of that 4-points.  Grin

Robinson III might be bringing decent help for Magnolia's campaign in this upcoming season, having that experienced they will be able to maximize him and give the team decent stats, let see if local players will give him the help that he needs to be more competitive knowing that opponent's got their star imports with that current champ experienced and having Durham we will see if they will continue that winning attitude against Magnolia.

This will be the first season where we won't be seeing Jalalon anymore. I admire this guy's hard work in his game, as he brought a lot of energy to the team. But probably because he made some bad mistakes, he was traded to other team. Hopefully, Magnolia is still as competitive as they were before, or maybe they'll improve a bit, as this is the season that teams, except Ginebra and Meralco, will have to play harder to be championship contenders.

The team I'm worried about now is TNT. I think their locals aren't as competitive as before, so they should bring in a good import who can carry the team, someone with the same quality or even better than Brownlee.

It's frustrating when the official PBA website isn't updated, especially with the season just around the corner. You'd expect them to have the schedule readily available, considering how many fans are eagerly waiting for the games. It does seem like the PBA's online presence isn't as robust as it could be, particularly compared to the NBA, which keeps fans informed with schedules and news well in advance.

For now, it looks like relying on fan pages and other sources for updates is the way to go, but it's definitely something the PBA should improve. Keeping the official website up-to-date would not only help fans stay informed but also enhance the league's professional image.

Guys, there's a good news to those that wants to watch the upcoming PBA games this 49th season. Read for more details about the 49 pesos worth of ticket this upcoming Sunday. If you are close to the venue, smart araneta coliseum, don't miss it.

So we are expecting a massive crowd in the opening of the PBA this coming Sunday with 40 pesos entrance promotion, lucky for those who are near the venue. Here in our place, there is no schedule yet for the PBA to do a out-of-town game maybe next year when the arena will be completed, the PBA might held a game here in Cebu.
I hope so, this is actually a good entrance fee decrease for those that have missed watching live game. And this is special because it is the opening of this season.

Wow an expected jampack araneta with that ticket price, I'm pretty sure the teams that will compete during the opening are capable to bring more fans by sponsoring the tickets, a good way to promote PBA and bering that huge crowds again, though it's just for the opening but the impact might bring decent entertainment for those fans who are near to the location.

Or, even those people who will going to drop by they can watch if the ticket still available and have some enjoyment watching the game live.
There are a lot of people there on Sunday and that's really going to give them jampack of fans. Even those people that might just walking by outside the Smart Araneta Coliseum might be enticed of watching.

Desperate move but a smart one. The ticket prices clearly indicate that they aren't attracting the expected number of audiences anymore. With this pricing strategy, it will be easier for them to fill the arena. Even if this is just a promo, it's a good start for a struggling PBA league. I'm looking forward to the season opening this Sunday, perfect for some family time while watching the game.

Better late than never. I think that was the cheapest ticket at the venue, so that's definitely going to attract the attention of the fans. We should see a good turnout during the opening this Sunday. I'm also thinking of placing a bet, and I'll make sure to put down a decent amount during the opening game. I've been on a betting break for a while, and I kind of miss the thrill, even if it means losing money, LOL.

Better than nothing and its more better than giving free tickets just to watch their games since that can affect their revenue. So 49 pesos worth still a smart move since somehow that is cheap especially if you watch live PBA games. Its really a good start for them since maybe with that they can show to the fans that there are still interesting things to see if they watch the games live compare if they buy subscription or just watch the games in their television or even online. Also same to you I'm in long break betting in PBA since my interest to watch games decreased due to some controversy and unfair decisions made PBA management. But let see if there's  something fun to watch on PBA next season.

Yeah, it's should be the main place to get updates and not to those so-called source which most of time rumors are not even confirmed, PBA should take care of their page, as nowadays internet is the most common place where readers and viewers are relying thier information about the upcoming updates and what they are expecting from the league managements.

Hopefully we will be able to get something new when the upcoming season starts, additional promotions and new updates for players and teams which coming from a reliable sources like the main page of PBA.
