It's a very close game, that would have been 2-0 if Paul did not get the ball. It's almost a turnover, it's just that Paul Lee was lucky enough to get the ball and since he is clutch, he shot the ball without panicking. Well, whatever happened, it's already a 1-1 series, and this is a very exciting series. In game 3, Ginebra is still 2.01, I guess that's a good odds.

I watched that last match between Ginebra and Magnolia, there weren't any Ginebra team members, they should have acted on television, all they were doing was acting as if they were hit but they weren't, you'll be annoyed by Tenorio's acting, hehehe.

If it's not acting as if it's a foul, then the opposing players will throw a ball or make a move to hurt it, that's bad.

They are now +6, if they'll be able to give a good challenge, they might be able to cover the spread. however, if Bay Area will dominate the game, then that +6 is just nothing. This is probably the last game of SMB, so it's also the last chance to bet on this series, just follow your heart though.

I could get 3.00 for SMB but honestly I'm also not attracted on betting this team. They are down 0-2 already, so there's a very little chance they'll win the series. Also, Bay Area will try to make sure they will send a statement to the winner of Ginebra vs Magnolia, and for sure they'll swept the SMB.

It's not attractive anymore, the way they played on their last game does not represent their greatness. Well, I guess they maybe able to cover the spread but to beat the Bay Area, there's a little chance it will happen. They should have 1 win already, but they wasted that opportunity.

This series will go 3-0, period.

For those who want to risk it to the Beermen tomorrow, here are the odds in stake



I think this is already a good odd if you are an SMB supporter. I know that San Miguel will do everything in its power not to get swept by Bay Area Dragons. They have a formidable team that can compete against the Dragons and the first game shows that they can actually go toe to toe with them. Fajardo alone cannot do it but if the shooters of San Miguel get hot tomorrow, they have a chance to force a fourth game.

The visiting team quickly learned how to limit the productions of Beermen's offensive players, aside from Fajardo who really trying everything but without the help he can't single carry the opponents who have almost same of his height. Speed and height are in favor of the visiting team, plus the fact that import matchup is by far, Nicholson is a legit 2-way player, while SMB's import is not someone the team can lean, especially in those important game times.

The chance of twisting the fate is really tough, I can say they can, if they are facing an ordinary team from this league but they are not.

The visiting team is composed of well-picked talents, hard fought but if SMB will lose, I can personally say that they bring everything and I will continue supporting them..

I was not able to watch the game, but I think that was a big upset from how the game went from the first game. I think the coach of the Bay Area is very competent and he was able to adjust very quickly against the Beermen.

Now, the Beermen needs to make a big adjustment next game, or they will go home early this conference. I trust they will be able to make it next game, so I am betting on them this time.


I think the odds will just be very close or almost the same because the game was a close game. If it was like the SMB vs Dragons that the Dragons have a dominant game against the beermen, I think the odds would be attractive for Ginebra. But it was not. So the odds I think will be almost the same for Ginebra and Magnolia. But we will see tomorrow how the bookies will look at it. Hopefully you are right so we can take advantage of it.

I do think that the Beermen can force and extend another series on Sunday but to expect them to win the series is something really tough.

SMB shows their real strength in Game 1 but still, they lose, and with that, the Dragons realized what needs to be done in Game 2. They were able to limit the offense of those SMB sharpshooters and just try to keep it that way the whole game.

It would be a good achievement and big recognition to the entire PBA community if SMB will still be able to pass the Dragons here in Semis.

Height really is a factor on why the Beermen struggle against the Dragons plus the fact that six players contributed double digits offensive output only shows that they already have figured out how to maneuver the defense of the Beermen. 2-0 is a deep hole but this is basketball and anything can happen but i'm expecting for the worst that the Dragons will swept the Beermen.


In game 1 the odds for Ginebra and Magnolia is almost even, game2 the Kings were the slight underdog and with them losing game 2 I think the odds in game 3 will be attractive if you are backing Ginebra.

After the close game competition between San Miguel Beermen and Bay Area Dragons in Game 1, what happened in Game 2 seems not a competitive game.

Game 2 shows us an apparent domination of the Dragons against the defending champ, SMB. I can't imagine now that SMB will still bounce back.

Difficult to think that Dragons will lose twice in a row. They will take this series even if they will lose the next game.

AFAIK, Chooks to go wants to enter PBA but it's been so long that they still haven't allowed it and got no franchise on it. Maybe it will be on them, just like what happened with Alaska, Converge took the spot and franchise. I am sure that there's a line of those who have already shown interest of buying it because they know how big it is to get into PBA and the expenses would be that much and millions of money they'll have to spend on it but lesser budget if they're targeting for its advertisements.

The visiting team's shooting percentage is really high today, there's nothing SMB can do to stop them, even Fajardo is trying to carry the team but with the hot shooting outside, visiting team really dominated them, and the fact that they've managed to stop Perez and Romeo is not shooting well, that's really a tough game for Fajardo.

They can't do stop the moving rotations of the Dragons, both outside and inside attacks are really damaging.

The game 1 trauma is still there and really affects the defending champ. Dragon might sweep SMB or maybe SMB may comeback and
try to force the series to another game.

SMB doesn’t have a chance for the quarter finals for now. They had huge chances against the dragon. But the dragon need to work with huge patience for the game and to win the game for the game. SMB had a opinion to lead the series and the rest of the team need to work like favour to SMB. Dragon had a good game next to the SMB. Ginebra was strong against the team of Magnolia and can win the game very easily. Ginebra game was unique in this league. SMB was good in their game but most of people opinion for the game is actually the Ginebra and Ginebra was good on their knowledge in the game.

That's right mate only Junmar Fajardo can motivate the team to play harder and give their opponent close fight but if without junmar they like a puppy always chasing a food. But for me there's still hope that BAY AREA DRAGONS  will lost. And the only one thing that SMB need is to rotate the ball faster as they can and give it to the open one  they are far from the height but they can win through speed and technique.

If we are talking about teams getting sold, look always at those independent teams .
Blackwater tried but they didn't continue to sell it. NLEX are on the verge of selling months ago but they didn't continue. ROS? I guess it's time for them since they have been doing awfully these past years and their best years are when they have Paul Lee and other all-star players. If this will turn out to be true, which company will try to buy that franchise. I hope SM will come to the league since they want to join the league.

Just by looking at how they played in Game 1, you can already say that the Hotshots have a chance to defeat the Ginebra. They played in Game 1 without import and yet they only lost by 3 points. This match-up is very exciting because both games are so close to the point that we don't know who will win still unlike the other match-up.

It looks like the Dragons are too much for the Beermen.
6 players of Dragons in double digits against only 4 for the Beermen and their import Scott isn't as efficient as he was in the eliminations. It seems like the presence of Nicholson and that 7-footer in the paint really affects their game style and some of the players of the Dragons are fast and tall as well so it will be hard for the guards of Beermen to score. Total domination for the Dragons.

2-0 in favor of the Dragons and tied at 1 on the other match-up. Next game will be on Sunday. Will the Beermen get eliminated on Sunday or they will extend the series. I'll go with Ginebra on Game 3, and I might put a bet on them depending on the odds.

They can't match any player of the dragons and it seems Fajardo is the only one they can rely on the floor but if Fajardo is out they are totally doomed. Maybe they should learn with this and carry out thru their practice since what the guess team did to them is totally a great experience to learn from. This series is already over as we see how the SMB got dominated by this foreign team.

It would be okay if SMB at least make the game interesting. Unfortunately, it was only a once sided beatdown as SMB was unable to match the intensity of Bay Area. I guess this series is already over, I don't expect that SMB will come back to win the series when they don't have a quality import.

Actually I'll loss that game because I bet on SMB but very unlucky and Bay area Dragon win.
We are the same mate as you said I thought that SMB will even the series but the opposite is what we saw last hour, maybe their strategy is not enough to beat Bay Area Dragon cause they are very tough team. Even though they change their import but still they are unstoppable right now and how much more if Powell will came back and play in Bay area Dragons. In next game  maybe SMB team will have a good play and make the match as close as they can .

unfortunately, they weren't able to come back. I wasn't expecting the result of this game, I thought it was a close game and SMB will try to even the series, but look at what happened? once again Bay Area Dragons showed their dominance on PBA teams, and that's SMB, one of the best teams in the PBA.

I think it's not necessary for Powell to come back as Nicholson is very well fitted to the team.

114-95, it's a big win by Bay Dragons, and they have Nicholson who scored 34 while SMB's import only made 14 points from 6/15 shooting.
