They need to act as pro since they are in the league which expected to be all at the professional level, refs should do their job and not to allow doubtful calls like this, better to say that they need to do their job and make the right calls, even it's non bearing game there are viewers who will be dissapointed, especially those fans who also bets for their team.
If the call was right the chance of tying the game is possible, maybe upset can take place if ever that the ref did the right thing here.
Missed calls happens whether it is a barangay league, PBA or NBA. They are just part of the game. I think the league needs to put some fine to the erring refs so it would happen less because it affects the game. But the refs are just human, on a high speed and intense game, they can make wrong calls sometimes. It is just them being human. Players and coaches already accepted that call when the game is over because they know it cannot be reversed anymore. Fans should move on too because there is no benefit in playing the "what ifs" of the situation.
I get your point and it's valid, but you know gambler's mindset, right? hahaha but kidding aside, refs are being fine if I'm not mistaken they are getting sanctions to the point that they can lose their job if there's a complaint regarding to how they initiate the calls, on the side of fans, nothing can be reverse so better to move on and forget about the game, just give the best wishes for the team and continue supporting them whatever happens the entertainment that the team provides is what is important to every viewers and fans.
So this is now where Chot won't participate in the playoffs after 21 years. He became a fun meme for most PBA and basketball fans recently because of his attitude towards the game and for being too selfish about coaching two teams, Gilas and his team.
I think his team being out is actually good if you're thinking about the Gilas so that he can focus there more and there won't be any distractions anymore from the playoffs. And then from there, prove the critics wrong and show that he deserves wherever he is.
If his team does not qualify for the playoffs, then how can you expect they'll do better in international competition? Gilas are probably composed of lots of TNT players because he is the coach, so I don't see the team being a quality team to be competitive enough against the big and more agile teams.
International games are different from PBA, although the team has plenty of TNT players the team is composed of star players and they are still competitive. TNT just miss the playoffs in one conference and we are already overreactive, come on guys, give them next time, for sure they will bounce back as long as they are healthy.
TNT is not the kind of team that will missed the playoff most of the time, in fact it is not usual for this team. Just an overreactions from critics, and what do we expect from those, just a good negative write up to attract readers or viewers, as simple as that but expect a bounce back for this MVP team next season.
