Guys, there's a good news to those that wants to watch the upcoming PBA games this 49th season. Read for more details about the 49 pesos worth of ticket this upcoming Sunday. If you are close to the venue, smart araneta coliseum, don't miss it.

Wow an expected jampack araneta with that ticket price, I'm pretty sure the teams that will compete during the opening are capable to bring more fans by sponsoring the tickets, a good way to promote PBA and bering that huge crowds again, though it's just for the opening but the impact might bring decent entertainment for those fans who are near to the location.

Or, even those people who will going to drop by they can watch if the ticket still available and have some enjoyment watching the game live.

Desperate move but a smart one. The ticket prices clearly indicate that they aren't attracting the expected number of audiences anymore. With this pricing strategy, it will be easier for them to fill the arena. Even if this is just a promo, it's a good start for a struggling PBA league. I'm looking forward to the season opening this Sunday, perfect for some family time while watching the game.

Better late than never. I think that was the cheapest ticket at the venue, so that's definitely going to attract the attention of the fans. We should see a good turnout during the opening this Sunday. I'm also thinking of placing a bet, and I'll make sure to put down a decent amount during the opening game. I've been on a betting break for a while, and I kind of miss the thrill, even if it means losing money, LOL.

So we are expecting a massive crowd in the opening of the PBA this coming Sunday with 40 pesos entrance promotion, lucky for those who are near the venue. Here in our place, there is no schedule yet for the PBA to do a out-of-town game maybe next year when the arena will be completed, the PBA might held a game here in Cebu.

Good news for the PBA fans, with this new changes, we might see more actions than before.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said games will be played from Tuesday to Sunday, with Monday serving as rest day.

Before, the game would start at Wednesday, then Friday to Sunday. Now, there's only one day off which is Monday, so we will be seeing more action and more fun with betting. How do you like this news?

Wow, this scheme is very good for those bettors that loves underdog as teams only have a limited time to rest and might drop their games from time to time. I just do hope though that fans who wants to watch the games live in person will be entertain.

For me, i'll be betting all the games but on the underdog with a fix amount to bet per game and see after the elimination if the bankroll did a profit.

More on the betting side as gamblers will have a almost straight week to bet along, just like what you mentioned kabayan underdogs might have that better chance to win against the heavy favorites as there's a possibilities that due to stress coach will rest some of his stars and let the game be played by remaining players, though not saying that it will be a direct strategy but we know how teams played against each other and how betting influence the outcome of the game hahaha..

For fans, those who still loves watching their teams might be happy for this setup just don't know or sure if how many fans are still enjoying the league, aside from Gin king fans not sure with those other teams.

I like this news, very good that they have changed the schedule and let's see if the fans are going to like it and become personal audience.
On the other news, Dave Ildefenso hasn't signed yet with the North Port. It's said that he's still waiting for some offers overseas before he proceed to sign. So, if there's an offer to him abroad, he'd go there obviously. While the PBA, it's just an option for him. His dad surely did gave him some advice on this and said to never go on any SMC team.

As for Brownlee, things might be different since C. Stand is no longer around, and they've brought in a younger replacement. It will be interesting to see if the chemistry they've built before can continue to work with some of the new guys.
Brownlee was already with the team even before C. Stand was signed by Ginebra. However, the chemistry was already there since Brownlee and C. Stand had been teammates before on the Alab Pilipinas team-not sure if that team still exists now. Anyway, let's see how Brownlee will compete against the old and new imports, but I'm sure chemistry won't be a problem as Brownlee has proven to be a good team player, especially since he won a championship with a new team in Indonesia.

I do agree with you mate that Brownlee is a guy who jells quickly to his team mates whether they are new to the team or been there for a while.

Let's talk about the Meralco Bolts who won the championship on the All-Filipino Cup which have Durham as their import. I think they had a great chance this coming conference since Durham is a strong import as well with their core players still intact.

Good point. I remember now that they were teammates before, so it wasn’t hard for them to play together. Well, they’ve parted ways now, so hopefully, the new players like Holt and the others will follow the game plan. They should consider Brownlee as their main man since he can bring a lot to the team, including leading them to a championship and winning the series.

Another interesting read.

JUSTIN Brownlee may have won all three championship encounters with Allen Durham, but their names are going to be mentioned in the same breath.

While Brownlee is one of the two winningest imports ever to play in the PBA with six championships, an honor he shares with another great import, Sean Chambers, Durham is considered as one of the best reinforcements who have yet to win a title in Asia's pioneering professional league.

Durham has been named Best Import three times during his stints with the Meralco Bolts and now he's returning for another tour of duty, hoping to finally win that elusive crown.

But one of the things he looks forward to is the opportunity to reconnect and renew his old rivalry with Brownlee.

"We are going to be connected," said Durham. "When you say one person's name, the other one is going to be mentioned. You want to play against the best and I'm excited to get that opportunity again."

The Bolts won the championship last season, so they should definitely be the team to beat, especially with Durham back on the roster. Even though there's a new coach with a potentially different style from Coach Norman Black, the current approach seems effective, as it brought them their first championship. Hopefully, Durham can still blend well with the familiar faces on the team.

As for Brownlee, things might be different since C. Stand is no longer around, and they've brought in a younger replacement. It will be interesting to see if the chemistry they've built before can continue to work with some of the new guys.

Will Terrafirma become a championship contender?

JUAMI Tiongson welcomes the arrival of Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle at Terrafirma as the two players reinforced two spots which he believes are crucial in the Dyip's campaign in the PBA Season 49.

Of course, the All-Star guard was disheartened to see former teammates Isaac Go and Stephen Holt go away as part of the trade to acquire Standhardinger and Pringle with Barangay Ginebra.

Holt and Go after all, were major pieces of the Dyip's core that reached the playoffs for the first time in eight years last season during the Philippine Cup where they eventually lost to top seed San Miguel in their knockout quarterfinals duel.

But Tiongson said getting Standhardinger and Pringle in return is nonetheless, primary catches for Terrafirma as well.

The 33-year-old product of Ateneo sees the 6-foot-8 Standhardinger making a big difference as far as post plays are concerned for the Dyip.

C. Stand looks great in Terrafirma uniform. And it's good for C. Stand as he'll be in the starting 5 again and will definitely gain more minutes. I'm hoping this team will be more competitive as they have a talented point guard which is also a great 3 point shooter, so the lenght of C. Stand and his dominance inside is going to be a big factor for their success.

Hopefully they'll manage to bring something Tiongson's needs to maximize the help of CStand if they blend like the connection of CStand and TR7 way back with SMB they can create that big threat of a -12 punch, knowing CStand who loves doing his usual offensive tactics, just need to work harder as they going to face stronger opponents, Good to know that Terrafima might have that chance again to continue playing decently.

I'm just wondering why the website still doesn't have updated schedules of the games when they're reportedly set to commence on the 18th of this month.

The 2024–25 PBA season, also referred to as PBA season 49, will be the 49th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The season will begin in August 18, 2024 and will conclude sometime in 2025.

Do you guys feel the excitement already? We'll be back to betting in less than two weeks, so I'm sure we'll be busy again. For me, this is the only league I'm betting on since the NBA is in its (off)season, so I have no choice even if the games aren't on a daily basis.

Which team do you think will win the championship with the current imports on the list?

Exposures that can be use by both sides, for PBA it's a good fan base attractions, as per politicians sadly to say that there are voters who loves those kinds of strategy, bringing celebrities and taking the vote out from those viewers who will support the event.

The problem is that it seems they are protecting their TV network and want us to watch on TV rather than through online streaming. Why do I say that? It's very obvious—just look at their streaming; it's delayed.

Meanwhile, another big achievement for Justin Brownlee here.

Brownlee wins title anew, this time with Indonesian squad

Quote
Justin Brownlee weaved his magic anew following a championship run with the Pelita Jaya in the Indonesia Basketball League over the weekend at the Indomilk Arena.

A six-time champion and three-time Best Import awardee with mother team Barangay Ginebra in the PBA, Brownlee added the IBL title to his resume by anchoring Pelita Jaya to a 73-65 win in the winner-take-all Game 3.

Yup, another title added to his resume, what a great player and after that title, he will be going back and will begin his practice or maybe Gin kings will provide decent time for him to relax and enjoy the celebration, but for sure he will be playing for the Gin kings and will start also practicing for team Gilas.

Let's just wait for the update for sure Gin kings will provide something good about his arrival, congrats kabayang JBL!

For me, to bring back the fans to watch the PBA they should adapt the style of MBA which is the home and away format so that those in the province will have a chance to watch the games live in person. They can't expect the same individuals watching games of the PBA on the same venue. Adding more teams will also help but not teams that will become farm teams for the big companies, independent teams that could stand on its own and compete with the teams of SMB and MVP.

That's a good idea, as nowadays, people are more interested in watching basketball. There's no problem with broadcasting the game since they have the TV station owned by the MP group, or if they don't use it, they can just do live streaming through facebook and youtube, which is less costly. What they have to ensure is the venue, something that is secure and convenient for the players. They need to allocate a budget for that and maybe seek help from the local government for additional funding. It's really possible if they consider that idea, but if not, it will remain in the same format.

Yeah right, and since that the timing is perfect knowing how politics runs in our country if they will going to adopt that same kind of formatting, they can easily coordinate the schedule from the town governors or mayors as they can easily get an access to the place, they can earn thru sporsoships or with the local government itself  who wanted to bring entertainment to their fellowmen.
I'm sure they are good at that, as they handle some politics in the PBA as well. However, thinking about it is not enough; if no action is taken, it will still be useless. As fans, all we can do is voice our suggestions to help make the league more interesting to watch, but unfortunately, it's not as engaging anymore. It's a sad truth.
