Since Rain Or Shine has no sister teams, there should be no supposed hindrance on their future trades. I miss the strong ROS where in All-Filipino, they can compete competitively. It's good to see that Coach Yeng is again working in a team that has no sister teams. He is capable of extracting the very best of a certain player and can turned that into a good role player.
Although I think he is changed now and not that strict in practice. His bad mouthing for any errors that his players committed during the game is more of giving a determination rather than discouragement.
I just wish him all the best with his career back to ROS and I guess he's got more control there than what he has left with NLEX.
It is not really an expose if everybody knows that some teams are farm teams of bigger teams. But I think it is the first time that I heard a coach speak it out loud. And it is sad that PBA is tolerating one-sided trades. I guess because only a few teams can attract large crowds in their games like Ginebra, San Miguel, and the like. PBA let them do this because they know that their tickets will sell out if these teams play in the playoffs and especially in the finals. But it is also detrimental to the competitiveness of the league because, at some point, you already know which teams will make it to the finals, and which have the highest percentage of winning.
