Agree that they are already good, it's just that some of the players lack exposure and the playing time. I wonder why Mac Belo has not been playing heavy minutes considering that this guy is very talented. So yeah, the coaching staff should start experimenting with the locals next conference and see what works for them.

Import-less, Meralco Bolts has an edge to compete with other teams. When they beat the Number 1 Magnolia which surprises everyone, there's a big contribution coming from the locals. I agree that they have to use some of their players and not just to warm their bench. There are lots of talents in the Meralco Bolts that keep from playing limited time during the Finals.

Exit interviews - this is a scary moment surely for their players. Instead of giving and boosting their morale, it's discouragement. I hope those who will be traded will find their good home after their departure to Meralco Bolts.

But to give my wild opinion here, Coach Norman Black should be fired first or have him as an assistant coach in the meantime.

According to Daily Tribune PH sports columnist Ian Suyu, as per Meralco Bolts' Head Coach Norman Black, the team will conduct an exit interview with its players starting today, April 25, 2022. For who are those players, we don't know. One thing is for sure, they want to revamp their roster next conference.

For me, they are already good and seeing their roster, they have one of the best rosters in the league especially if it's an All-Filipino Cup. They don't need a revamped but just utilized their players and give others more minutes. Since there will be no import next season, it might be easy for Coach Norman to test some rotation.

This is my first to hear such news regarding exit interviews on a basketball team. I thought exit interviews will be done only to those who have already tendered their resignation, this is weird for me.

IMO, Meralco Bolts is not a championship team in the PBA, they are just lucky to be in the Finals because of their very talented import same with NLEX, the priority of their company is TNT but if they are serious in this one then it's good and I think it will start with the coaching staff.

They have a good squad. The import last season is not a kind of scoring machine, but they managed to beat strong teams; the locals are providing what the team needs. I agree that they don't need to revamp, but instead they need to test new rotations and try to blend players and their respective roles inside the team.

Though we don't know the reason behind, if there're changes I do look forward that it will improve more in terms of chances of winning the title.

I would go with the TNT as well, they lose this conference because they don't have a good import but comes the All Filipino cup, they have a lot of good local players especially Mikey Williams who leads the TNT to the championship last All Filipino Cup. Right now, there's no announcement yet as to when PBA will resume, but it's understandable because it's still too early, maybe they are still enjoying their break now.

If Ginebra will have their complete squad, a healthy roster that will change the pace of this new season. I believe that they can

compete even without Brownlee at their side Wink It's just a matter of how they can continue the chemistries among the players, might be a good

match up between Thomson and William in case they've got the chance of competing in the finals. We never know, but let's wait for the next

PBA opening and see how the competition will be done.

What’s the next conference with PBA? Can’t see any details on google though.

Season-reset I think since it's a new year. It's just that Governors Cup got delayed last year.

All-Filipino Cup will be the next conference I think at 99.9% since if they will still push the Commissioner's Cup that is supposed to happen in the last quarter of the year, there will be a very big adjustment on the phase of the PBA season. I also don't hear rumors about new imports and as well, the upcoming rookie draft is now taking place in a few weeks.

All Filipino Cup - Governors Cup - Commissioners Cup

That's still good, All Filipino cup is next then we will see if the Ginebra can still do it. Many are saying that Ginebra only become better because of their import, if they will go back to all Filipino cup then my prediction is TNT will win the championship.

Yeah, it has broken the theory that it's all scripted, fake and already set for game 7. But honestly, I want to see a game 7 match and it's going to be the one most exciting moments for these two wins.
But anyway, it has ended and the best team has won, Ginebra! I've got a friend who bet 50k php for Meralco and sorry that his bet got to lose.

I thought it also that there's a game seven of this match between the ginebra and meralco bolts but  I am surprised that the three win streak of the ginebra will end the conference and ill prefer ginebra to win in game seven . Anyways ginebra is the king if comeback they can win even they are on bottom like in implementation round they are not in the too but by the help of their import they advance to the finals and now they won the championships.
Yeah, was able to see their progress at semis and thought that they'll be out but all of those expectations that we've thought. They've just broken it.
They're the best team for this conference and will they be able to retain that for the next season? I guess so. Well, now that the championship is finished, I'm starting to see now those veteran players advertising their political bets.

Yes, this is the best season he has with Ginebra, now that he has a great chemistry with the Ginebra, I would expect them to win more championship together. The good thing with Ginebra is that C. Stand is not expected to carry all the load, he has his teammates whom he can trust, and an improve Scottie Thompson is really big for the team.
C. Stand might not be the highlights for the conference but I agree on this, I saw his improvements and saw a good games as well with him, if he can able to build a good chemistry with other players, I believe for a stronger Ginbera and C. Stand really have to do his best. What’s the next conference with PBA? Can’t see any details on google though.

Have you guys noticed that CStand was playing so well in the finals series? Ordinary fans could not notice his contributions but the hassle he gave to the Ginebra Kings was amazing plus the fact that he control the boards so well in the absence of Japeth Aguilar.

I hope that all the rumors of CStand's relationship with teammates is not now under the bridge and he stays with the team and win more trophies with them as he also a crowd drawer IMO, so he is fit to play with Ginebra.

C Stand have proven himself to be a champion, he won a championship on both SMB and BGSM, so he is a true San Miguel Warrior. Yeah, I love the way he played in the Finals, he was aggressive and in fact I saw a big improvement on his mid range shooting. Having Japeth and him in the middle is really a big problem for the opposing team, so as long as C Stand will stay, the management would probably keep him.

Hello for those people saying PBA is monopolized and everything is business Smiley Maybe true in some cases especially in giving trade rights but not on a Finals series between two different companies. Maybe if between sister teams, that is possible although it's on the officiating and not on the team and players themselves.

Even Brownlee's poor performance in the first half makes people think that it's already scripted and Meralco will control the game. The low scoring in the first half was also even pointed out. But in the second half, Brownlee does his Brownlee thing.

2 months from now I think, the next conference will commence.
Now with regards to PBA is business, it really is business Smiley. What is the main reason why companies wanted to join the PBA? To advertise their company and its part of their business Smiley. Why would the PBA wants to continue the league? We can say for entertainment yes but its very hypocrite if we will say that it isn't because of money. Again business Wink. Not debating whatsoever but I just want to share my opinion regarding PBA a monopoly and a business.

You got mislead, bro.Smiley

What I'm saying about business is the other side of the league, for example manipulating trade rights and approving an unfair trade and they will call it fair, something like that. In other words, there's a business internally.

Of course, PBA is business in terms of advertising, marketing, etc and that's obvious.

You didn't get what I'm trying to point out and really focus on the word "business". Cheesy
My apologies on that bro Smiley. I thought you are talking about the business in literal. I'm a bit close-minded on that part so my apologies Smiley.

Now regarding on what you said, I just don't know why they need to do unfair trades. That just kill the competition of the whole league. That just decreases the chances of independent teams to enter the playoffs because they are left with some average players only. These companies are just offering free agent players more money just to play in their team. I don't want to give teams but we've seen players who went from this where he is playing many minutes to team to another team and ended up as a bench with limited minutes.

One solution to this maybe is the salary transparency. If they will be transparent on how much the salary of each player is like in the NBA, it might solve this problem. The chances of this to happen though is very low to zero.

I'm not aware of that. Is there a rumor about the possibility of Christian Standhardinger being shipped to another team or does he have some misunderstandings with some other guys out there in their locker room?

Is that what you meant, mate?

Although not much productivity in the recent Finals, his presence inside the paint is effective to cover the absence of Japeth Aguilar in both offense and defense. But yes, he might want again to be one of the main options of a team and not just doing a backup role where he hasn't used to be.

Yup, that is what I meant. There are even talks that he will be shipped to Magnolia in exchange for Calvin Abueva and also there was a rumor that he will play in Japan but that is not possible now as he was offered a contract extension which he already accepted.

Though not too productive in offense but his defense on Tony Bishop was extraordinary for me as the latter's offense mainly came from outside jumpers, rarely in the paint as CStand was always there ready to bang bodies with him.

PBA now released the draft order for the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft 2022.

Blackwater Bossing
Terrafima DYIP
Converge FiberXers

I will just list the Top 3 since they are the most noticeable teams that should have a good pick. I hope they will be able to select a good rookie that can add a boost to their teams. These teams are always at the bottom. We want something new.

I don't know though if those players in former Alaska will retain their contract at Converge as from what I remember, only 3 players from Alaska will be kept by Converge and one of them is Jeron Teng.

Welp, Ginebra won and they're now this conference's champion. And it's just an "IF" if ever there will be a game 7 but not anymore.
The conference has ended and it's a sweet victory for the Gin kings and the next conference is I'm excited for, Alaska out - Converge in.

No more conspiracy theory, the better team won the game and Ginebra was already declared as the champion. That was too easy, 3 straight wins to end the series and Thompson again received an award, such a very impressive season for this kid, not surprised if he wins the season's MVP as well.

And that's reality, it's still ongoing in terms of unfair trades but nothing can be done since both teams agree and the PBA lets them to deal and sign the contract of those players who are involved with the trades. PBA have internal business we can't deny that but if things has been done legally and there's no opposing party that can prove the irregularity then we will continue to see this kind of manipulations, is all about how the team owners manage to play aside from the actual game inside the court.
