Let's move on to the PBA Finals, can the Bolts resist the firepower of Ginebra Kings or this is just a one-sided affair?

I'm sure it's not a one-sided series, Ginebra maybe the favorite but they cannot sweep the Bolts who are playing with lots of energy in the semi Finals. Their import once struggles but they still win, I think they can give the Ginebra a very good challenge.

Does anyone here like to have a bet on this series?

I'm sure everyone is on Ginebra.. Any Meralco Takers here?

Speaking of B-League, we have fresh news that I just read today about an SMB player who is set to play in B-Leauge.
~snip~
I'm not sure if this is legit or just an April Fools post since it was posted last April 1, 2022.

I did a little research on this one as I find it interesting to see Vic Manuel bring his chores to Japan but I think this is just a prank. The one that posted this on Facebook was the one to post also that this is just an April Fool's prank.

It's very rewarding if you are satisfied with the salary, in fact, the B League offers a bigger salary than in the PBA, and yet some players who were invited to join still choose to stay. There are rumors that Romeo, Abueva, and Fajardo are invited but they remain loyal to the current league.

Definitely agree with you because there are star players in the PBA that choose to play in the B- League. One example is Ravena, he was already a star player of the NLEX, so I expect that he is receiving a big salary, and yet he choose to play abroad due to a bigger opportunity or increase of salary.

There’s also a bonus if a player got an individual award aside from getting a bonus on winning the title,
Yes, they have. I think I've read it in the past years that those that got awards have their special bonus aside from the overall bonus that they've got for being a champ.
That's already out of the reported salary, maybe non-taxable, so they will enjoy that bonus.
For individuals and as a team, both would receive an award, I'm even thinking that Ginebra and Meralco are already getting an award now that they are in the PBA Finals.

playing Basketball in PBA is also rewarding, you just need to prove your worth and you can be good imagine how much money you can make on every conference. Meralco vs Ginebra is a good match up, no more bias games and placing your bet is not easy here, so think well before you bet.
This is entirely for any sport not just in basketball and in the league of PBA. It's truly rewarding if you've made a name on your area, you'll get a lot of recognition and very lucrative in a manner that you can retire early but due to opportunities, you really have to hit them first.

Tony Bishop is surely inspired by now. It's reported that Meralco entering the Finals will give Bishop a $50,000 bonus.

That's a great reward aside from the usual salary he will receive. And what if Meralco made to Finals, I think another bonus with the same amount.

He should just maintain his great stats as one of the leading imports in the PBA to match the level of playing of Justin Brownlee. He should not repeat his performance on Game 4 against Magnolia as he struggles badly in the game.
There’s always a good bonuses on their contract, getting into the finals can really give them huge money and that could encourage players to play better going into the finals. This could be the battle of the imports with a huge help of the local players, Bishop can compete with Brownlee and with a help of other players, there’s a chance for Meralco to win a game just don’t mind the crowds because most probably Ginbera will play on a big crowd again.

Bonuses are part of the contract, this is on top of their payment contract once a certain condition achieve by a players and beside, Brownlee for sure gets more compare to Bishop this can also boost his confidence in the up coming finals. This is not just a battle of the imports, this is also a battle of coaches and those who have a better plays, I’d rather place my bet on the second game and I’ll be a speculator for now.

As long as Almazan, Newsome, and Maliksi will produce, they will not be left behind in this competitive series.

We can expect that Chris Newsome will always be on his high-level performance every game but there's a problem, especially at Almazan and Maliksi, they are not consistent. They always find their rhythm in every game which is supposed not to be a hard task for them but that's not what happened. There's no room for that as they are now in the Finals and facing Ginebra is a big challenge.

I'm looking forward that Almazan will be consistent. He wasn't able to play during the first meetup of Meralco and Ginebra last 2019 because of injury.

The time now to show what he got and push for their revenge for their Finals loss that year.

A great Matchup between Almazan and CStand, both moving centers who can aggressively get the offensive rebounds and convert.
It will be a rematch in which both sides of the fans will love to watch. Meralco's locals need to work together to beat the solid chemistry of Ginebra's core players.

It would be another tough challenge in both ends. Whoever is more hunger to win the title will be crowned as season's champion.

Good luck to all bettors and fans. Pick wisely !  Roll Eyes Grin

...>< it was Harris in game 4 but he was injured in this game which the Meralco has taken it as an advantage to beat the Magnolia.
Bad game for the Hotshots, they were up early but they weren't able to keep the lead and allow the Meralco to have a big run. Because the game was very physical, injuries cannot really be avoided, and if Harris wasn't injured, I guess Meralco would say goodbye, but they got lucky so let's welcome them to the PBA Finals. (GINEBRA in 4) Grin

When Harris got injured, it was over for the Hotshots. They can't find anybody to carry them offensively as Paul Lee really struggles in this series while Ian Sangalang was not so effective down low, i thought before the series that this is for the Hotshots to win because they have Sangalang and Abueva that will hassle them in the board but i am totally wrong lol.

With Pringle and Japeth back in the Finals, seems like that the Bolts is in trouble but i'll give them at least a win or two before crowning the Kings.
Harris got injured, Lee is injured. No one can step up and carry the team thus they lost. Prayers for Mike Harris though and I hope he will recover.

For sure this will be a physical one (as it is always Cheesy) or I mean more physical than the normal one. We have Hodge that is a very good defender and just willing to sacrifice his body just to have extra possessions. I wonder who will he be defending. It might be Brownlee maybe. Ginebra in 6 for me or maybe 5 but not 4 even though Pringle and Japeth but there is a high chance it will be 6. More games = more revenue and more entertainment Cheesy.

That's an interesting match-up, but I think it will be import vs import.
yes of course because no one from the local could match JB's strength.
Bishop has to do his job with JB, if he can limit JB's production, then I would say he is effective.

The good thing with Meralco is that they proved they can win even if their import is struggling, their locals can produce to win and that's their advantage. Of course, Brownlee will continue to score, but if the locals will be limited, this would be a great series for Meralco.

Meralco is also a good defensive team, so they can match up the Ginebra's very defensive play.

I lose my interest to watch when Magnolia import was out of the game because its already one sided match.
If you are a fan of Magnolia, it's understandable that you will lose interest because you know they'll not gonna win without an import. As a team, Magnolia is a good team but having their best player not 100% (Paul Lee), and an injured import, things would really result to its worst.
I also felt the same when SMB was down 20 against Meralco in the first round. I thought that they can come back in the 4th quarter but when I see that there is a few time remaining and the lead is still in double digits, I shut down my TV and did something already because I also lose my interest. Its understandable and maybe its not their time. Lets just support which team we want to support and not be bandwagons Smiley.

Haris is down in the fourth and final quarter he need to rest and wait until the end of the game. And also his team trying to push up but they failed meralco is not just easy they are good in defense and offense and also they are got an advantage when the import of magnolia is out they took the opportunity and then finally they made it.
Meralco really wants to win and they got that golden opportunity when Haris is down, its too bad for local players of Magnolia for not standing up they rely too much on their imports. Meralco did a great job on semi-finals, that is the proof that this team should not be underestimated and going into the finals, for sure they can play more good games and this is why its exciting to see them on the finals.

I also see that, not sure why but Magnolia's offense after Harris got injured is not the same, they are good moving the ball, but it's not for them Meralco keeps doing the right thing both from their offense and defense, it's hard to beat a team who have an eagerness to win, Bolts locals help each other to win this semis, no doubt about winning this game they work harder and it's shown from here.

Finals are coming save your spare to bet with your favorite, another interesting match up. Maybe now it's better to track and observe
before putting your bet, Meralco beats both SMB and Magnolia two top teams from this league Roll Eyes Tongue

Magnolia Roster is highly dependent to harris because they are composed with a lot of small shooters so they are having a hard time to points inside because there’s no reliable person inside that can give space, rebound or shot at that zone. Magnolia keeps focusing on Harris that’s Meralco saw this weakness and they always double or triple team whenever he will get the ball inside. The result is he has low points and no effect in the game besides defense. I believe the result will be the same with or without him because Almazan is on fire at that game.

The fight is very closed with harris because the momentum keeps changing between the 2 team. The momentum just go to Meralco when Magnolia import got injured. It’s obvious that the team without import will be on the huge disadvantage because no one can defend physically Bishop offensively and defensively. The morale of Magnolia players is down because they lose important players of the team and seeing Magnolia roster is obviously no match with Meralco with a strong import. I lose my interest to watch when Magnolia import was out of the game because its already one sided match.

Yeah, I thought that it will be by Sunday but it seems that the schedule has shown already and it's on Wednesday. Let's go, Ginebra and Bolts. Well, I'm not for any of them but I just want to cheer every team.  Tongue
